On a weekend getaway for a friends wedding we planned dinner here. Started out extremely well. The atmosphere and greeting was great. The appetizer impressive. The pace of dishes comfortable. My husband and I ordered a pork and steak entree. The pork was over cooked for my husband. I ordered my steak medium rare. The waiter later confirmed he wrote the same. My steak had zero pink color of any kind! If one was chefs choice what was the other? The guest didn't get what was asked for. We then received nothing but a simple apology.. for the money I expect what I asked for.

Canneti takes their food very seriously. This is not your average or even above average Italian restaurant.. This place is a destination for foodies. Very funky casual, but fresh, delicious food with creative twists, and very friendly service.
The drive to Forestville is worth it if you plan to dine at Canneti Roadhouse Italiana. The place is cozy and quaint so it gets a little noisy. The food provides very interesting takes on some classic dishes by both ingredients and preparation. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the unique flavors. The service was exceptional.
Excellent quality, authentic Tuscan recipes. Quiet atmosphere (seated on outdoor patio) on a Saturday at lunchtime. Very good choice of Italian wines. Friendly waitstaff and chef / owner. A true gem in tiny Forestville. Convenient location to tastings at Copain and Lynmar. If only we lived closer!

The chef surpassed himself again the trio pasta was terrific while the vegetarian gnocchi was the best along with great tuscan wines and fresh salumi in an outdoor patio for a perfect spring lunch thank you chef Torre
Everything was delightful and delicious.
Ingredients for the tasting menu had not been procured, so Chef put dishes together with what he had. It was mostly good, but main course lamb dish was maybe an ounce of lamb and the rest fat. The potatoes were way over cooked. My husband ordered the pear and gem lettuces salad but received instead romaine with golden raisins. Another result of not having ingredients on hand in the kitchen.
The desserts were both extremely disappointing, especially since this was a splurge night for me since I’m usually not allowed sweets.
This is one of our favorite local restaurants, and we will likely give it another chance in hopes that our experience was an anomaly.
We had a wonderful lunch on the patio. Service was outstanding and the food was equally impressive.
Chef Torre is terrific his risotto, pork and dessert by Conner made an incredible spring lunch!!
As usual, an excellent way to spend Easter dinner!
I love gnocchi and I have eaten them all over the world Canneti makes THE BEST I have ever had. This little restaurant is out of this world....a must try!!
The outdoor seating is great. The owner exhibit his antique motorcycle collect at the backyard which is pretty cool.
Very creative Italian dishes that taste so yummy. Qw Sat up at the kitchen counter and watched the chefs work their magic. Definitely worth a visit

This restaurant has a a display of Italian motorcycles through out. Lots of wood, a fireplace, and many rooms with different atmosphere. They have an outdoor patio and grounds. They've done a lot with a small space. The menu is versatile and creative Italian. Worth trying.
Connor was our waiter and very pleasant with tons of info. My only complaint is that we felt that the gnocchi was very salty.
We were thrilled with our meal at Canneti. The food was delicious and interesting. This is a restaurant that is fit for foodies everywhere.
We love Canneti's and eat at the counter when there are just two of us. Everything Francesco serves is locally sourced, of excellent quality and always delicious. On this occasion our meal consisted of:
Endive salad with dried apricots, candied lemon, walnuts, blue cheese and wild flowers in a simple, but outstanding vinaigrette
Steam Savoy cabbage leaf stuffed with fresh ricotta on San Marzano tomato cream sauce
Corkscrew pasta with fava bean leaf pesto and Pecorino
Housemade Belgian white chocolate Gelato with bitter cocoa and salted caramel sauces and a meringue cap.
It was, as always, a wonderful experience.
Our first time here for restaurant week. Always wanted to try this restaurant The food was good but not anything special service was good But I was a little surprised that the restaurant charged for booking the reservation on open table. Not only did they charge a fee for the reservation; they charged the fee for every single person at the table. This is extremely tacky to pass the acquisition fee on to the customer in this way. Will not return any time soon.
We were charged $7 in fees for ordering off the Restaurant Week menu because we made an OpenTable reservation. If you don't want people to use OpenTable why have it? That being said the food was great and the restaurant is comfortable and welcoming.
Loved this restaurant. Very fine food, lovely décor, great service. However, we were very unhappy that our bill included $3.50 per person for the Open Table reservation. This fee was not noted when I made the reservation for Restaurant Week. It was not clear whether the fee was for cost of working with Open Table or for the fact that offering a low fixed price menu for Restaurant Week bites into their budget. Either way, it left a sour taste.
Fabulous food, ambience and experience. Chef was accommodating with offering a gluten free option. Very friendly!
Food was excellent, service was disappointing. For a Friday evening that was light patron traffic, we we're asked to sit at a 2 person table in the middle of the restaurant when there were several larger tables in nicer part of the restaurant for 4 people. No other larger groups arrivedvfter us, in fact a single diner arrived and was seated at a 4 person table. The wait staff while courteous were not as attentive to us as other patrons. We were charged $3.50 for each of us for booking thru Open Table which seemed a bit odd.

This restaurant is a gem and worth a lengthy drive if you are not local. Everything I tried: two appetizers, a pasta dish, main course, and desert were excellent. The depth of flavors was fantastic. My server, Mathew, was great and knowledgable with regard to wine service. Outstanding cooking and a complete meal. Highly recommended.
Excellent food as always. Service not as good as usual but still the best local dining around.
The food is well prepared. The wine list is thoughtful with emphasis on Italian imports, not a problem for me. My problem is basically with the layout. The front room is chilly with the front door opening into the space. The folks seated there were casually dressed and it was like a normal night. The middle room which was smaller, seated people who were dressed nicer or perhaps who had reservations. The back area and waiter prep space had an extremely loud and drunk female who could be heard everywhere. She needed to be “cut off” or reminded that this is a public space. Nobody did this and it wasn’t until the party left that you could speak normally. It was NYE, but that isn’t an excuse to ruin someone else’s evening. I’ve heard about this place for awhile but the experience was not optimal.
Authentic Italian food in a cozy setting. Try the pasta trio, perfect for two people and oh so tasty!!

Nice atmosphere and great staff. We had the tasting dinner! Soup was yummy and had great flavors. We liked the pork stew. The meat entree was tasty but the meat was tough. Honestly did not care for the dessert and wine was not a great experience

Spectacular American-Italian inspired comfort food, creative dishes, special local night meals on TH, excellent Italian wine list, deletable small bites, friendly, upscale yet casual, bistro style dining. Back deck is very charming. A cozy place with superb food. Your taste buds will thank you.
Waitress was lovely but the food was not worth the visit to the restaurant. The patio was charming.
Brought my husband here for his birthday and definitely regretted it. Our server wasn't exactly personable (before introducing herself or saying hello she asked if we were ready to order). Wine service was awkward at best, and our server was nowhere to be found when we needed her. Our pasta was delivered to the wrong table (we ordered the trio of pastas for two) and arrived cold, overcooked and wildly under-seasoned. When we brought this to the attention of our server she did nothing. Literally nothing. She said 'oh, I'll tell chef that'. And that was it. My husband loves dessert, so seeing as it was his birthday we decided to go for it, and luckily were able to end the night better than pretty much everything that came before it. The cannoli and the reimagined tiramisu were both quite good. When we were done with dessert our server reappeared to say 'Chef wanted to send something else out to you but I told him you were already wrapping up dessert'. Before you ask, yes, we were charged for the terrible pasta that went uneaten. So $160 for a modest bottle of wine, two apps, one inedible pasta plate, one side and two desserts. Hard pass on this place. The backyard is ambient tho.
Love this amazing place in Forestville. The pasta dishes are especially exceptional . A slice of Europe in Sonoma County.
