We made reservations to celebrate my parents 80th Birthdays. Our waiter was outstanding and very attentive. The dinners we ordered were exceptional and the Deserts of course were delicious. Reccomend The Cannery highly if looking to celebrate or enjoy a nice evening out.
Server was a little impatient with us but the food was so good we put up with her. Salmon was excellent and prime rib was also very good. A couple of us had Fancy coffee drinks that were outstanding.
Beautiful atmosphere, perfect for a nice Birthday dinner for my wife. From the service to the food, everything was perfect. We will be going back.
Came down to celebrate a birthday at the brunch buffet. It was nice but not exceptional and not worth the two hour drive. We have attended buffets that were much better. There was one green salad and no others. Almost no fruit selection. Although the internet menu had an extensive list of desserts there were only three cakes out. What was offered tasted good but I think we won’t be returning.
We have been to The Cannery a few times and always enjoy it. We will return.
After a day of wine touring and birthday celebrations, we only wanted something small so both of us ordered two starters. We felt our server was a bit offended by this. Food was very good. There was a wedding reception going on beside restaurant and they were pretty rowdy. The menu was slightly different then the one on open table and the item we really wanted was no longer on it. Overall, a lovely restaurant.
Lovely restaurant. Service was excellent. Overall food was very good, just wasn’t crazy about the salmon dish. It was good but just a little bit of an odd pairing of flavors for my taste. WE absolutely loved the banana fritter dessert! Highly recommend it! Very nice experience overall.
Went to celebrate our daughters 20th birthday. Everything was delicious, but our waiter , Anthony, truly made the evening!
We had the daily feature which was a surf and turf, and the prime rib. Started with the appetizer sampler. The crab cake was delicious, as was the duck confit bruschetta. We did not care for the lobster soup, the only miss. Banana fritters for dessert.
Our server Allison, was excellent.
Would recommend and return!
Thx, it was a great evening and Clair, our server was very attentive. All-around an excellent meal, we will be back!
The prime rib was great ... but huge servings heavy on meat not veg. Yorkshire pudding was cold and chewy rather than hot and fluffy. Other person had scallop risotto ... good, but nothing special. We also had crab cake as appetizer ... rather disappointing. I'd expect more for the price paid.
That said, wine recommendations were spot on and service attentive without intruding.
It was an amazing experience. Our food and service were incredible.
Our party of 8 had dinner for a bachelorette party. The waiter gave us great recommendations and gave the bride a complimentary drink! Great place all around!
All in all it was adequate. Upon entering we were asked if we had a reservation. It was obvious that the dining room was mostly empty. The greeter wanted to seat us in a remote dark corner. which we refused.
The server was adequate brought coffee and tea but was slow in removing used plates as it is a buffet style brunch and there were few patrons. The roast beef was a little bit better than raw. The omelet was superb. Mashed potatoes seemed as though they came from a box. the place is not as Hoyte toyte as they make it out to be. The dress code leaves something to be desired. Tee shirts and flip flops I did not think would be appropriate. In a high end brunch buffet setting.
Saturday night reservations in mid-August. Lots of wood in dining room which made room appear a bit dated but with reservations at 8pm dining room was sparsely attended. Service was pretty good and waitress was good at making small talk and making us feel welcomed. My wife and I had the prime rib with mashed potatoes which was a solid choice and the banana dessert which was exceptional. When reserving table mentioned it was our wedding anniversary. Was also asked when we checked in if we were celebrating anything special which we said we were. Expected to maybe receive a complimentary drink or dessert for this but were not offered anything. Started to get a little loud in dining room as wedding started upstairs. Overall a pretty solid experience for a relatively reasonable price.
We were there celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary. Our meals were the tenderloin and lobster. We also had the variety appetizer plate for starters. Every bite was delicious!! Very nice restaurant with great food choices, quite enough for a conversation. Our service was awesome. David was a very good waiter and I highly recommend him as your server. If you are in the NOTL area and want a very upscale meal and atmosphere, go to the Cannery, you won't be disappointed.
We were a party of six and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Cannery Restaurant. We all loved the old charm and ambiance. Our server, Patricia, was very pleasant and helpful with our wine selections. The menu had something for everyone and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend!
We had a great server. He was entertaining, personable, pleasant, and very accommodating to our needs. He made great suggestions that ended up as he said they would. It was a nice atmosphere. This was our second time there and like the first time, we left very happy. Thank you!
One of many return trips that never stop giving ... always a pleasant experience
Loved this restaurant for dinner. The menu was incredible. The entrance for people in wheelchairs and with walkers is an afterthought. You come out of the elevator right into the seating area and patrons need to shift seating for you to get by. Definitely not a maintained barrier free path of travel but we were able to manage with the generosity of staff and fellow patrons. Also not ideal for people with visual impairments but they found a great spot for us where the light was adequate as generally the light level is kept very low. This critique aside, we all loved the food and the service was excellent. I look forward to going back and would recommend without reservation for these reasons knowing if you have disability issues, while it isn't ideal, with the support of staff, once you get seated, it will be a wonderful evening.
The best Prime Rib we have had in a long time. The food is prepared deliciously and professionally. The service is spot on. A definite must when in town.
Phenomenal service and food. The prime rib was perfectly done and so was the salmon.
Service was excellent. Most food was excellent. Beef Stroganoff was tough, overcooked, and very salty.
This was one of the best meals and experiences I have had in a restaurant in a very long time. Our server Anthony made the evening more than just a dining out night he made it a wonderful and pleasant experience he was joyful accommodating and a real pleasure to have as a server. Very attentive and very knowledgeable I would recommend requesting a seating in Anthony's station you won't be disappointed. The food from beginning to end appetizers Main and desserts with outstanding. If we were to die that night our final meal would have been the best meal that we had. Go enjoy the Cannery! It is mp fantastic.
Ordered their “Signature” dish Prime Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding. Very disappointed. Ordered rare beef and got well-done. Yorkshire Pudding was dry and has no gravy or au jus.
Appetizer was Bruschetta with duck and it was very good.
Unable to recommend this restaurant nor will we go again.
The food was very well prepared and our server was professional. However, the server in the adjacent room carried on an extended, and loud, conversation with two tables !! about his daytime real estate license and transactions. We do NOT need to hear about his day job while we're trying to enjoy an evening out.
I had the prime rib and my husband had the rib eye steak. Both were amazing! The mashed potatoes are to die for. Be careful not to fill up on bread and apps.
Went there for a romantic dinner for two and the Cannery did not disappoint. Our first visit and it was outstanding. Our server was very pleasant and funny.
Food was excellent, and the wine delicious. Would recommend
We had a package deal and it was well worth it. Our food was delicious and the service was great.
Amazing food super experience all round.
Courteous wait staff and food was quick
Food we ordered was cooked perfectly with lots of flavor. Would return to The Cannery again.
Good menu but no pasta dish. Only expensive dishes.
Great meal...we both had the slow roasted prime rib....delish🤤. One of the best margaritas I have had!
We found the service excellent, the appetizers were very good, however we were disappointed with the prime rib ,for the first time in several visits,we found the meat a little dry and overly salty. Our server offered to replace it, but we declined.
A bit busy with large groups. Strange buffet hours. Good food. Very capable and pleasant server.
The Cannery was perfect for a post wedding brunch (July 21). Although we were expecting a brunch buffet (it closed at 10:15, we were there at 10:30), ordering a la carted was fine. Service was amazing (and, sadly, I cannot remember our server’s name). She was excellent! Food was exactly as ordered and, we all agreed, very tasty.
Amazing service and fantastic food. Was a little louder then expected but that didn't ruin our evening :)
The night we had supper here, the kitchen seemed to be struggling to get food out to the front. The restaurant was busy, but there were some empty tables. We had to wait one hour between placing our order and the food arriving at our table. The server was very apologetic and kept checking back with us, and in the end comp'd a round of our drinks. When we got it, the food was very good. I would go back, and also recommend this place, while hoping that the kitchen wouldn't seem to be short-staffed the next time.
Best short ribs we have ever had! Service was great and the ambiance was nice. We will be back!
