Food was very tasty. Service was quick and efficient. Good overall value for two
Good food and excellent service. We ate on the patio and it was very quiet and comfortable with a nice atmosphere. It was quite noisy inside as the crowd was much larger inside.
The lamb shank is good but could have more seasoning on it. The environment is very nice.
I had a delicious falafel sandwich with a side salad. The service was fine, but this place gets ratehr noisy because the table are close together. I will definitely come here again.
Our first time to dine here but we will likely return even though its slightly out of our way.
Guava martini was delish! My husband and I shared the multi skewer dinner - 2 large skewers and had more than enough. (We also had an appetizer and small Greek salad to share).
Yummy! Upbeat atmosphere!
Always excellent. One of our favorite places to go with the family. Food and service are excellent. Nice bar. Always a pleasure.
Great place! Service was wonderful and we will definitely come back. So many good food choices!
Loud does not even describe the fact that people seem to have a need to yell and laugh like they are the only ones there. This is a restaurant not a bar and it was older adults who should know better. Seems to be a common complaint here. When the patio opens maybe the outdoor seating will be better.
Amazing food! Great place for business or a night out. Perfect location.
Went here for breakfast. Absolutely delicious breakfast, got the stuffed French toast, one of their specialties. Yummy
The food was amazing and the service was outstanding!1
Great food—definitely going back! The spices on the meats were on point, pita bread was a good opening, and the garlic feta fries made for a tasty appetizer.
This was our first time at Canal Bistro and we will go back. Wonderful Mediterranean food, fun atmosphere and attentive and friendly wait staff. We've been told that their outdoor seating along the canal is great, so we'll return when it warms up. The only downside was that the dining area isn't very big and they had two large groups celebrating, so we had to literally shout to hear one another. Once the groups left, it was quiet and much more enjoyable.
We love this place!!! It is one of our go-to date night restaurants. Great food, great service, and good value!!
Valentines Day
Great Valentine's day for a couple who has been in the service industry way too long. Great service, food, and prices for a date night.
Amazing med cuisine with lots of healthy or indulgent options. Great staff too!!
Delicious food and ambiance. Great restaurant in the Broad Ripple area.
I was very disappointed they weren't serving breakfast. The big sign outside said Breakfast Saturday and Sunday with no end times. We were there at 1pm brunch is typically served till 2 or 3 pm most places.
We always come for a nice, cozy New Years Eve meal. The Canal Bistro never disappoints.
Canal Bistro is one of our go-to favorites for any occasion. With family visiting for Christmas, we wanted a tasty, healthy, quiet lunch and George and company nailed it on all counts. CB is an excellent alternative for weekend brunches or anytime you'd like either delicious Mediterranean fare of something a bit different. Locally owned, with terrific staff and some kind of magic in the kitchen--overlooking the Broad Ripple canal.
What's not to love?
We love ❤️ the Canal Bistro! We gather every year for the Christmas season with great friends! Our server Starr was the BEST!! She is pretty Awesome!! 🌟⭐️🌟
we went here for date night . service was great and the food was good. fair prices .
We consistently have good food and good service. It was a little noisy but that does not stop us from going back.
Food was fresh and. delicious Nice size portions. Nice atmosphere.
Lamb Kebob was poor to fair. Meat was overcooked, tough and dry. Overall, food could have been better seasoned.
Nice atmosphere, good drinks & great food at a superb price point...keep up the good work!
One of our favorite Middle-Eastern/Mediterranean establishments in Central Indiana! The Kafta, Shawarma, kabobs, Dolmathes, everything we have have had has been amazing. The desserts are exceptional, too.
Met a friend for dinner. Outdoor canal seating was available. Enjoyed a lovely glass of Israeli wine and some vegetarian options. Great mushroom wrap!
As usual, the staff at Canal Bistro were friendly and accomodating . The food was fantastic. This is my favorite place to eat in Indianapolis.
Great spot for a lunch date
It was our 1st time there . Got to sit outside. It was fun people watching . Our waitress was totally awesome . Little smaller inside the what I thought from the website. Food was great !! I would recommend it to my friends
Fabulous Resturant always consistant
Great service
Canal Bistro is my go-to restaurant. I've never been disappointed with the food or service, and price for value is excellent. It offers inside or outside seating, with a canal view.
Although it took a long time to get our food ordered and served (I got there at 10:40, food did not come out until 11:45), the food tasted amazing! Very flavorful, authentic, and I would return.
I wish the server would have taken our order earlier, and we had to hunt her down a few times. I think the restaurant did not have enough staff to accommodate the number of guests.
But if you have time, definitely check this place out.
Our food was delicious, although I would have liked our courses to be spaced out a little more. We weren't finished with apps when salad arrived. We weren't done with salad when entrees arrived. Our server Adam was helpful & kept our drinks replenished. The beef & lamb that we ordered was tender and well seasoned. Overall a good experience (except one nosy waitress who butted in to our conversation).
I like sitting outside by thee canal. Waiter very nice. But the Greek salad was very disappointing. Looked and tasted like it was made in the morning, would have sent it back but did not want to disrupt the occasion. the Mezzanine plate was good, fresh and plenty. They really need to make the salads fresh to order.
Love this place because the food is authentic and portions are generous. This time I ordered the gyro platter. It was enough food for 2 people but very yummy!
The only negative was the screaming toddler whose parents didn't ask to have their food packed up to remove this very unhappy child that ruined all diners evening on 8/5. I was very close to asking the manager to take control as all of us had to listen to this for too long.
69th wedding anniversary lunch for my parents. great food, great desserts, great laid-back vibe. something on the menu for every eating preference and style. the turkish coffee is amazing as is the rum-soaked grilled pineapple with vanilla ice cream.
