Took friends from out of town and they were swept off their feet by the quality of the food. The only thing better than the food was the service, esp. that provided by the Valley Lady.%
I was a little disappointed in what I ordered - the calamari scallopini with salad. The calamari was fried, which I didn't expect. The sauce was intensely lemony. The potato was great as was the broccolini. The salad with basaltic vinaigrette and bleu cheese and almonds was way more cheese and almonds than necessary. I have to say that I ate it all, but I would never order these again and that's the reason for my saying I wouldn't recommend the restaurant to others. But, Americans are odd in our tastes and perhaps most of the clientele likes over-seasoned and abundance. The coffee (decaf) was also excellent. I tend to judge a restaurant by its coffee and service (also excellent!), but these two things were overshadowed by the abundance in the sauce and on the salad. Sorry.
Pleasant ambiance. Excellent bread pudding. Good food.
Had a great time with my wife. The food was great and the service was great.
The service was attentive, friendly and comfortable. The food was excellent, nice portions and quality ingredients. We will eat here again.
Very enjoyable and appreciate the proper flow of food courses and not making you feel rushed. It allows us the time to enjoy the full meal.
One of our favorite restaurants in Anchorage. Food is always prepared perfectly.
Went at the recommendation of a friend. Would go again, excellent food.
I love their home made pasta. I wish they have more pasta menu with olive oil, garlic, white wine, lemon juice, etc, sauce, not only mainly Alfred or creamy sauce which I hate.
The food never fails to impress! Portions are perfect for lunch.
Always an enjoyable experience, friendly staff, great atmosphere, delicious food. Unlike a lot of our newer “upscale” restaurants the chefs always deliver something delectable so the patron feels like their money was well spent.
Campobello has mastered consistency and that is a good thing. If I go in with my face fixed for an old favorite, I know that it will taste just as I remember it and that is a good thing.
Great food, service and wine list. We will be back!!
My daughter’s wedding. We love the food! And Jody!
I couldn’t go as I got sick, but the other ladies raved how great the food was and the service. Thanks so much. One of our favs!!
I love this place. Thye staff is fantatsic and the resutant is not packed full, so it is quite. Can't say enough good about Campobello's
Love our early dinner. Food was well prepared, well portioned and presented beautifully.
German Reisling was great for a table wine. This will be our go to for dinner out on a weekend.
Outstanding and consistent food. Everything is delicious.
Servers are second to none. Treat you like family, paired with delicious food and a great wine list, you can’t lose with this spot.
Excellent meal, calamari appetizer was best in Anchorage, all courses were perfect.
Campobello is very consistently a good place to eat. The service, food and ambiance is very consistent and a regular go to place for a pleasant meal.
I had the King salmon lunch special, but can't eat most starches so they substituted some beautifully prepared veggies. My friend had his favorite chicken fettucine with Caesar salad. Both were great and service was excellent.
I enjoyed my dinner, my boyfriend did not. So I feel like it really just depends. He does not like a lot of rich sauce on his pasta, but I do! I also feel that the food is more expensive than it should be. But both times I've been here I've received excellent service.
Waitress and hostess were extremely polite and handled a busy crowd systematically and enthusiastically. Our waitress was energetic, fun, and made us feel very welcome into their restaurant. The food parallels their quality of service as well, the French chocolate pie is worth fighting for. We will be going back there again simply for their service!
Didn't seat me until 30 minutes past my reservation time. When finally sat the server ended up being extremely rude. We left.
The food was very good, but a bit pricey for the venue and decor. One waitress was friendly but the other seemed distant and annoyed all evening, which ruined my experience with this restaurant. I won't be going back, which is a shame because the bacon wrapped scallops were perfect.
As always; amazing personalized service; incredible food & we were able to have a conversation without yelling at each other. Love this place.
Consistently a pleasure over the years. Our default place to go for casual dining as well as special occasions.
What a diaaapointing experience. All we could stand was 20 minutes. My wife and I arrived at 7pm and were seated after several minutes of two individuals trying to work through table assignments. We waited for 15 minutes before the waiter remembered us and said he would bring water. The table that was seated after us received their water immediately. I calmly shared, with the man I preseumed to be our server, that we have are leaving due to poor service. The man had an attitude and was minimizing the wait time. I mentioned it seemed as if they were short staffed and he replied they kind of were. I understand being short staffed, but this was something in addition. If the service was indicative of the treatment we would receive for the evening, We didn’t want to stick it through. Lastly, did I ever expect an attitude from the server when departing and respectfully communicating the reasons why, he showed us our waters to try and convince us to stay.
I won’t be returning anytime soon to this place, which is unfortunate because I’ve heard the cuisine is quite tasty.
In my opinion, this is the best Italian restaurant in Anchorage. That’s saying something since this is such a foodie town.
One of our favorites for dinner in Anchorage. A bit of a hole in the wall location, but popular with locals, it’s an upscale restaurant with a very nice tried & true menu. It’s also relatively QUIET compared to the other popular restaurants that have gone into industrial designs and surfaces. You can actually have a conversation without raising your voice! We love that.
Food was very good and the servers were friendly but they rarely came to our table. Dinner was ser
Great food. Tightly packed little restaurant where you will get to know other guests an elbows length away. Loved listening to other people conversations. Food was oitstanding.
Excellent service and food, one of my favorite place to dine.
Met up with friends for Valentines Day. The specials for the evening were delectable!! Our waitress was polite and informative. The seafood crepe is something to try if you haven’t had one before....
Loved the atmosphere, small quiet, very clean and homey. The food was a bit pricey but excellent. I would rather pay a little more for the food then to go to a cheaper, louder, bigger restaurant. I reserved a table for 6 and everyone loved their meal and desserts!
I was so nice and relaxing and the food was great!
This is, hands down, the best restaurant in Anchorage
Campobello is our favorite restaurant in Anchorage. It is moderately priced but as good (in many cases much better) than higher priced places.
This restaurant is fantastic! The staff seated us quickly and asked if we had event tickets for the evening (which we had). They accommodated our needs for quick service, the food was delicious, and we are going back another evening so we can enjoy Campobello Bistro at a leisurely pace. Excellent waitress/hostess!!
