Awesome as usual!
I had been disappointed with this restaurant in the past but was pleasantly surprised this time. Service was extraordinary, in fact, the entire staff was exceptional. Food was great, fairly priced, and served in a timely fashion. I will be back.
Great food, great service and river view. What more could there be!
We were celebrating my daughter's 30th birthday. AJ was amazing in helping to make sure her celebration was amazing. He was very attentive and the food and Sangria was just perfect for a night of celebrating.
A part of 6...Enjoyed a belated Father’s Day/Birthday dinner with my Father in law and Step Dad. Although it was an unusually busy Tuesday night, our Waitress did a good job. She was training as well so there was a delay in getting additional drinks to the table in a timely manner.
Food was really good. We had the heirloom tomato salad and crispy pig parts as appetizers. Entrees included the cioppino, rigatoni, short rib ravioli, brick chicken and pork platter.
We will definitely return!
Great food, but mediocre service. Our server was pleasant, but checked on us with a frequency slightly short of the minimum. We spent most of the meal waiting on our cocktails (2 rounds) and waiting for our server so we could order or request a needed item. It was still a nice experience overall but we decided against another round or dessert just because of the delay in being able to order them.
Hopefully this was just a one off, but we were disappointed in our dinner at Campo last weekend. Out of their focasia bread and then served us cut up wheat bread that looked like from some cheap loaf of grocery store bread. Bad style - should have just served nothing or made some flat bread in their wood ovens.
The table was sticky - like it wasnt very clean. The plates even sort of stuck to the table.
The roasted cauliflower - normally one of our favorites there, was not the same. Smaller portion, not cooked thoroughly, and missing most of the other ingredients in the dish (Parmesan, etc.). Very disappointed in that.
We took our friends there since they had never been and we just kept explaining to them "it's normally better". But now I dont know - Has Campo gone downhill lately???
Then they didnt honor our gift card so now we have to figure out what the problem is with that.
All in all NOT a very good experience, especially for our friends who had never been - I know they wont go back. We had our small wedding reception dinner there a few years ago after just randomly choosing it and loved it but now I wonder what happened there???
I took my parents here who were visiting Reno for the first tine and we were all blown away by the delicious food and speedy service. Definitely coming back!
What a wonderful spot to meet my kids for dinner. The food is fresh and delicious. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful evening very much
I love Campos but on a Tuesday night when it was not too busy, they sat us right across the restrooms. My Dad was in town and I recommended Campos and so that was a bummer. Food was worth the wait for sure.
Great food as usual but the problem was waiting way to long for our entree. I was told the kitchen was slammed. We waited about an hour.much to long, the waiter was very good it was not his fault. Sounds like a staffing problem
Have been a loyal customer but today was a bad experience. Major slow service (had to go get take home trays from kitchen myself...had to go to cashier to ask for bill, etc.). Maybe understaffed with holiday but definitely will seek alternative restaurants next time. Too bad
What a fun place. The Warriors were playing need I say more! When we sat down they brought over a complimentary lobster Mac & cheese. It was creamy full of lobster and just plain DELICIOUS! They carry Mexican coke & that just made my husband’s Jack & coke so much better. The gem salad had blue cheese and homemade croutons. The pizzas were thin and crispy just the way we like them, and we shared a dessert of flourless chocolate cake with gelato that came with a rich chocolate sauce & caramel sauce that we were fighting for the last bite.
Perfect! Love Campo for lunch !
We had 5:00 reservations, never served or offered bread, we had ask for it,we had to ask for empty plates to be removed, drinks so. Trash can in restroom over flowing with trash on to floor.
UNR graduation dinner. Our table was ready when promised and meals and service were great! The restaurant was very busy with several parties but our server was awesome.
I have been waiting seven years to eat at Campo, ever since they were suggested in Esquire magazine, and so after plans fell apart on three other occasions my friends and I finally met there for a nice dinner on a mid-week evening. The host seated us all up front, directly beside the host counter and front door, because apparently that's what reservations for a special occasion will get you. Our server, Ignasio, was very courteous and attentive. The drinks from the bar were all excellent. But, and here comes the whammy, the food was just barely ho-hum.
I ordered the Filet Mignon, supposedly 6oz, with Blue Cheese crust, which I ordered medium rare. What I received looked like a very small 4oz flat iron steak (based on texture and consistency), cooked well (all brown, through and through), and no discernible crust. Even after an appetizer, my entree still left me very hungry. Unfortunately, the 'Affogato' desert I chose was no better. A spoon scoop of vanilla gelato set atop dry cookie crumbs which looked and tasted like sugar granules with a shot of espresso.
The atmosphere was quite noisy, which can be off-putting if you're trying to have a conversation. Our seats were backed up to a high-top table, which, incidentally, had a teenage child playing drums on the counter top inches behind us. Campo advertises itself as a 'neighborhood' restaurant. I don't know what they mean by that, but for the average price of $75/person for small portions, I imagine the downtown Reno neighborhood is as hungry as they are affluent.
I rate Camp 2-stars, not because of my experience, which would have been 1-star, but because at least two others in our group had decent looking entrees and desert, and our server was excellent. The small portions and high prices, combined with absurdly loud atmosphere, aren't going to lure me back.
We had a very good meal, with great service. We will return to Campo on our next trip to Reno.
This place is great for cocktails and shareable appetizers. The entrees were lackluster for the price. I ordered lobster macaroni and cheese. It was $32, and I recognize you are paying for the lobster. The lobster itself was tasty and there was a good amount of it. However, the pasta was slightly overcooked and the sauce extremely bland. I would not order this again, even though lobster mac and cheese is one of my favorite things. Server was kind and orders were correct, though we ran out of water and had to wait a while to get silverware when entrees arrived.
We love this place we wish that the weather had been warmer because we love sitting on the patio by the river.
Food is fantastic and the wait staff is amazing!
Kale salad was superb♥️
Have been there a few times. Food is always great as well as the service!
Spent the weekend in Reno for a volleyball tourny and this was by far the best meal we had. We shared pasta and pizza and both were great. We will be back the next time we are in town.
Business friend and I had a 6:30 reservation and was promptly seated. A couple minutes later, was handed menus. A few minutes later, a carafe of water and two glasses were sat down. Then crickets.... for 45 minutes. I made eye contact a few times with hostess. No joy. Was about ready to finally bail when our server came and asked if we had been served all. Um. No. I'm sorry. I was busy with a few tables and didn't realize you hadn't been helped. Um. Your table and we had our menus there and just water.
I've had wait issues post order with places, but the first time I've waited 45 minutes to even be asked if we wanted something to drink.
Was a serious let down to a place that was highly recommended by friends. Their food was not good enough to overcome the poor service received. There were too many staff, including the hostess who should have had the awareness of this.
Service is great. Booths are comfy. Food is very good, but portions are very small for the price on the specials. Noise was particularly high. The music was so loud, we had trouble talking to each other. I do come here time and time again, but will now stick to the regular menu.
The service was very good. Cocktails are fun and interesting. It was Prom Night, so it was super busy.
Great overall service and food
We had the all inclusive meal with wine pairings. Really enjoyed the evening.
Kale salad was fantastic. Good service and ambiance.
Great food, excellent wine. The staff was a bit overwhelmed with the Tuesday night traffic (!), and could have been more attentive. But overall we had a very good experience.
We have been going to Campo for the past 4 years. When we first started going there we were really happy with the food, the service and the ambiance. In the past 2 years we have seen a real decline in both the food and the service. I had about given up on dining there anymore. On Sunday we decided to give it one more chance and I'm glad that we did. We went in for Easter brunch. We were seated right away and the service was terrific. Water, bread and drinks came promptly. The special brunch menu had fun items on it and I had the special Bloody Mary which was pretty amazing. Others in my party had the special blood orange mimosa and they enjoyed them. I think the biggest change we experienced was an elevated level of service. For once they didn't seem short handed. We enjoyed our dining experience and never felt rushed or ignored. I'll be back to give Campo another try for a dinner service.
We were looking for a place in downtown Reno that was not a casino or had a bar vib. Food was good and service was excellent
The food at campo is outstanding!
I recommend the shishito peppers, pork belly, olives, bone marrow, and burrata to start.
The wood fired oven pizza is out of this world and they even offer a GF crust that is phenomenal!
They have a fantastic burger also and their fries are something special!
Great food and great atmosphere right on the Riverwalk!
I guess we should have ordered pizza since our dinners were bad. My husbands hamburger was not good enough for him to be able finish and my plate of risotto with shrimp and roasted beets was a plate of purple slop. New chefs are required. This was horrible.
What a transcendent meal we had! My brother and I both choose the chef tasting menu. The five courses included the best asparagus dish I've ever had and the best pork chop off my life.
Chef was personable and down to Earth. I enjoyed every thing about the evening.
We went for our son’s 23rd birthday. Everything was so great that we came back 2 nights later. Can’t recommend it highly enough!
Friendly service, good food, reasonable pricing and a nice atmosphere. I will be back.
Pizza was too dry, not much cheese or sauce.
i have never had to send back food. this highly rated restaurant, praised for farm to table, wood fired options had some of the worst food i have ever experienced. after suffering through a bibb lettuce salad whose leaves were grit-filled, and an inedible over cooked halibut with a gloppy lobster sauce, we opted for a pizza that was equally inedible. how a restaurant could screw up a pizza is beyond me. the waiter was an absolute delight and couldn’t have been more accommodating but definitely skip this restaurant when in reno.
