Campo - Reno is a Rustic Italian Restaurant. We have relaxed but attentive service. We change the menu daily. We serve local and organic foods. We serve Naples style Pizza, we cure our own salami and make all our pasta in house. Our beverage program is as fresh and seasonal as our menu. We have a fun and affordable wine menu and by the glass program. Campo runs many promotions, so please check our website www.camporeno.com to see what may be going on right now. Our patio is right on the Truckee River in downtown Reno. We bake all our breads in the wood oven and the 2 open kitchens are the focal point of the restaurant. Loosely translated Campo means gathering place. we welcome you to come on down and make yourself comfortable.

Great except at the end where they add a service fee to the bill, which supposedly covers the tip. But then the blank spot on the bill with the tipping percentages is left for you to fill out: double tipping? I’m sure many people don’t notice this sham and we let the manager know we didn’t think it was cool.

The pasta in both dishes was severely overcooked to almost mushy noodles. The marinara sauce was fairly unremarkable and the Alfredo sauce had a strange wine taste. The calamari appetizer was quite good. We also had the wood fired cauliflower appetizer which was hard and undercooked and over sauced. They also added a service charge which was the same as a 18% tip to the bill and then left a space for you to add a tip. Wouldn’t go back or recommend because of the lousy food. The staff was friendly and attentive but that doesn’t make up for the bad food they serve.

You should make customers aware of the 18% COVID charge when the reservation is placed, not after the table is seated with bread and water served.

Our waiter was awesome and very knowledgeable about he menu and drinks. I love the outdoor seating but a street musician was playing and it was loud.

Worst experience in recent memory. Arrived 10 minutes early for my 7pm reservation but the restaurant had plenty of availability so I was seated right away. Bread and water arrived fairly quickly, little did I know that was to be my meal! Waitress was a little slow getting to me but nothing alarming. I went with her suggestion and a glass of wine. Wine arrived fairly quickly and then things went downhill. At the 45 minute mark a staff member brought a complimentary second glass and apologized for the delay. At one hour I walked out, leaving my complimentary glass and cash to cover the glass I’d ordered. Jack in the Box saved my evening...

Food was great but we didn’t know is the owner adds an automatic %18 to your bill it says to be able to pay fair wages. Ok, that’s fine but my service better be phenomenal. The support staff were wonderful. Our waiter could not have cared less and the service was terrible

My friend and I had an excellent time at camp to celebrate her birthday! We had pasta, pizza, cheese plate and salad. It was all very delicious. Our best experience of the night was with Andrew, our server. He was very engaging and helpful, and he checked in on us often. His polite demeanor and kind heartedness coupled with his excellent sense of humor made for a fun time.

Very attentive service. Management instituted a 18% service charge. Hostess shared that did not replace gratuity, menu said in lieu of gratuity. We generally leave 20% if really good service but adding 40%(tip + ser. chg) to meal cost isn't happening. We rounded up to 20% hope it went to server

First off, we had high expectations after hearing about it from a friend.
We waited for over an hour to get out food and when we got the food it was cold.
2 spaghetti and meat balls, 1 vegi burger and another pasta dish with 4 drinks just shy of $200. Seriously?

Very disappointed!!

I hate to say this but the food was terrible, and what is sad is that they're just cooking the old Campo recipes (Mark's) and they can't even do that right -- pasta and a kale salad were not good, and the quality of the product on the cheese plate was very disappointing, more like something from Costco. Server was wonderful, but cannot recommend any longer.

Campo has always been a decent bite for me. This last weekend I went and was very disappointed in the food and value. I spent over $200 in food to get tiny portions and cold food. On top of this they are charging a mandatory 18% COVID charge to your bill.

We had a reservation for 7 PM and were told we needed to wait 10 minutes due to it being windy outside, which was no problem at all. The issue was 30 minutes passed by with the hostess not providing us with any updates on how much longer we would be waiting. They seemed short staffed, which again with COVID, understandable.

It would have been nice to have some more transparency on wait time. The food and drinks were good - I would still go back. Hopefully they will have more staff working!

Went there for our anniversary Saturday night and we were disappointed. Food was fair. Service was poor. Waiter was inattentive and avoided eye contact. We won't return.

Tony is amazing and one of the reasons we keep coming back. The food is outstanding.
Owner should consider a sister restaurant in South Lake Tahoe and or Vegas!!!

We had bucatini carbonara and risotto. Both were very good. Be sure to try the tasty cauliflower starter. We drank a bottle of Ridge Cab—always yummy and topped things off with a delicious piece of tiramisu. The service was great, and the location just across from the Truckee River doesn't hurt. There's a public parking garage very close to the restaurant.

Campo is on the Truckee River near the water park and the area is very nice except for the dismale shape of some of the residence. The server was very nice and had a good sense of humor. The food was too fatty for our taste, but was very enjoyable if we didn't concentrate on our health issues. The lemonade was handmade and shaken not stirred - very good. The interior was old as were the furnishing. The chairs were wood with flat seats. This did not go well with my 80 year old posterior so we tried the booth. The were worse for both of us as the angles of the back and seats were very uncomfortable, so back to the chairs padded with our coats. We both left the restaurant with sore spots. Lastly, the design of the restrooms seems to date from the time of John Crapper (inventor of many toilet improvements in the 1880). The mens urinal is about ankle high.

Well, if it appeals to you, I recommend the Tomahawk Porkchop. It is a masterpiece! Perfect char, perfect glaze and it meat is full of flavor. It is a showstopper. Just outstanding. The Kale salad is excellent and 1 is enough for two.
The menu could stretch a bit in other creativity but we had a delicious meal.

Food was terrible. Advertised as having local fresh produce on the menu. There was one salad that had this and the waitress could not even tell me what was in it. Was just told it was whatever the farmers bought in.
It be good was a terrible take on American Italian. It was pricey and I would not return or recommend

Not what is used to be. The place is run down a bit. The menus were dirty. The restrooms were rough. The service was fair at best. It's too bad as I used to love this place.

Disappointed did a special valentine’s menu the day after valentine’s and we were not informed. Very limited menu. Ordered 4 dinners, received 2 then had to wait additional 15 minutes for the other 2 guests dinners. The food was good but We were disappointed over all.

Showed up one hour earlier, hostess sent us as according to her it’s full. Left, changed the reservation on open table, all time slots available, return 15 minutes later and she is all welcoming out of a sudden. No pizza not spaghetti that night as the cook didn’t show up. Ended up getting all salty starters. Oh my, that was 80 dollars badly spent. So bad we had to get a cake in one of the casinos after
