Open table app was convenient. Food and bar service very good.
We had a group of 6 and had enough room at our table for appetizers, drinks, and our main courses. Two people in our group had pasta and raved about the flavors and quality of the noodles. I had the poultry nightly special and it was tender and juicy; two other friends had the pizza from the wood fire oven and loved it! And lastly, my friend had the pork special and was able to take half of it home and have it for lunch the next day. Great food and service!
Thank you to all- best food in RENO!
We took advantage of Campos' Thursday "Date Night" special. It's a fix priced 4 four course meal for both people for $60, or for $75 you get 3 wine pairings too. The meal was great...vibrant and flavorful courses, generous portions and every wines that really complimented the food. The service was outstanding (thank you Sam!). We really enjoyed ourselves for nearly 2 hours and were able to leave a nice tip and walk away for a $100 for the evening. Wonderful date night indeed. Highly recommended.
Reservation definitely recommended. I liked the convenience if making the reservation on line. The restaurant was fairly crowded for a Wednesday night but out table was ready at exactly when we walked in. Food is excellent and they have some unique choices.
requested special seating we were approached by a shabbily dressed hostess with average looks....anyway....i was surprised when we were seated at a pub table by a window...i looked around the room and noticed a regular table with a view that was more desirable....we were approached by our server...very friendly and we placed our drink order in which he returned promptly....enjoyed the appetizer and pizza however the spaghetti al dente was not prepared well...i ordered it with meatballs which were awesome...the al dente was rigid and too crisp....reminded me of a reheated pasta....i would tell my friends and family that it is a ok place to grab a bite for a dining experience ...i would refer them somewhere else....we expected something more
We recently had a fun night out at Campo with friends. The food was delicious, the atmosphere fun and the service outstanding. We are already planning a return trip.
I knew better, but ordered the sirloin instead of pasta. It was cold, tough and bland. Pasta was, as always, very good. Server was professional, but manager standing next to our booth chatting with our server was not.
We celebrated two graduations with a lunch at Campo and it was absolutely wonderful.
We had a large party and everyone really enjoyed their meal and the restaurant.
Campo really is a gem in downtown Reno. We always have a great time, great food, great service.
The food was amazing and the service was efficient. Overall I would highly recommend it! Also the employees are beautiful eye candy. I am in love with the short busboy with the dimple <3
Food was very average to poor. All salads ordered were saturated with oil and limp. Pasta not flavorless. Nothing memorable. Maybe they changed chefs because the last time we dined there it was above average. Very sad. Beautiful location though.
The staff was attentive, the food was very good and they had our table ready right at the reservation time.
Food was outstanding and so was the service. Great recommendations for wine
This was our first time here. The food was great! My husband had wild boar pasta and I had the pumpkin gnocchi--both delicious.
Great food and drinks. We'll be back!
Like Campo, but wish it had more selections for the non-meat eater. Tough to find one than one thing on the menu.
Campo is a wonderful place to go in Reno. It has a great location off the "strip" and right on the Truckee River. The food is great. I have been a few times now and have eaten both outside in the summer and inside in the fall/winter. My husband loves the spaghetti and meatballs, the seafood fettuccine is amazing and the pizza gets high regards. The service is good, we have always had local young people serving us; I think it is unique that they give you the bill in a book. The owner, Mark does a great job. I highly recommend making a reservation and enjoying this wonderful side to Reno, I am sure you will be impressed!
One of my favorite spots for dinner with a friend, date night or lunch. Food was delicious, the Kale salad is always delicious. Thanks for accommodating my last minute reservation!
This was the third time we have been to Campo and we have loved EVERYTHING we have tried. Every time we have made sure to order different entrees and never have we been disappointed. EAT HERE.
I have been to Campo several time but only for dinner. I have always been pleasantly surprised by their menu and always satisfied with the available choices. I have not a less than excellent experience there. However, I had never eaten at Campo for lunch. This too was like all of my previous experiences.
Bravo Campo, keep up the great work, I will be back and as with this lunch meeting will bring clients and colleagues back.
Having just moved here from Denver we were very happy to find a restaurant that focuses on local produce. Of course simply finding the food is not as important as preparing it. The food was excellent and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, walking that fine line between modern and obnoxious. We are looking forward to warm weather so we can enjoy what promises to be a great patio. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
The scallops were unevenly cooked and small. This is our favorite dish, and I was a bit disappointed. Chef Ramsey would point out the obviously uneven browning. Pesto was too overpowering and I don't recall having that the time before (pesto on them at all). The tripe is very good.Caramel budino is delicious. Mmmmm
My first choice when someone asks "where do you want to go to dinner?" The service is fantastic and the food is even better.
I am not sure how to describe the menu at Campo. We loved the place but there were only 4 items on the menu that we would even consider. So, I guess we aren't 'foodies' or gourmet lovers. We would go back if friends wanted to go but not on our own.
Food gets better each time we go. Service is great, very accommodating for families with children despite the difficulties that accompany those diners.
I LIKE THE IDEA OF BUYING FRESH, LOCAL PRODUCTS ON A DAILY BASIS. BETTER FOR YOU AND HELPS LOCAL BUSINESS. I HAVE HAD MANY DINNERS AT THIS REST. AND ALWAYS GOOD.
I was in Reno on business and came across what looked like a casual restaurant/bar downtown. Upon looking at the menu, I was pleasantly surprised to see a tasting menu that, after speaking with the waitress, I decided to order. From beginning to end, it was perfect. The meal began with the chef himself emerging to shake my hand and explain the various courses. The meal began with the chef's "mosaic," a sampling of various items from the menu. I am not normally a huge vegetable person, but I could have eaten the various greens in this course for days. Best vegetable prep I've ever had.
The mean continued with many varied, but consistently high-quality, courses. Each continued to be introduced by the chef.
The food was really quite good, but the service was disappointing. Our waitress disappeared for long stretches of time. When we had finished our entrees, we waited for almost a half hour before the dessert menu was offered. We were fine with a leisurely paced experience, but this seemed excessive. The restaurant did not appear to be overly busy to the point such slow service might be more understandable.
I took my 5 of my friends and family this last Tuesday night to Campo for the first time to celebrate my birthday. Even with a 6:30 reservation, there wasn't a lot of choice for a larger table. The place was lively and noisy for a Tuesday. The staff was friendly and pretty helpful, but our waiter didn't go way out of his way; had to ask to order apps, ask for more bread and never got more ice water even though 2 of our party were only having water. The food was delicious! My birthday drink, the Handlebar (a Manhattan) was terrific! Everything flowed nicely and I even got a nice birthday dessert but no song. Overall, it was great. I will be back and look forward to sitting on the patio.
We went to Campo with friends from out of town. It was everything I had heard about it. We enjoyed an evening with excellent food, superb service and we will be return.
This is our second time to Campo. The service was exceptional. The dessert was FABULOUS (caramel budino), the food was not good. Both times we have eaten at Campo, we have not cared at all for the appetizer/salad, or the entree. The dessert is amazing and we would definitely go there just for dessert again. We had a fabulous waitress. The food is just not great. They mix too many flavors and it ends up being unappetizing. Great atmosphere, great drinks, mediocre food. Not enough for us to come back again. Disappointed because our guests we brought had read such amazing reviews and they didn't like their food either. We ordered lamb special, seafood fettucine (came out barely warm), and the pork trio.
My husband and son dined at Campo during the summer, and they raved about how great their dinner was. A few nights ago I decided I needed to check out Campo for myself. My husband and I picked our son up from UNR for the evening and came to Campo for a 7pm meal. My first reaction was, 'WOW!' For starters, we had the Sformato--absolutely over-the-top delicious! For entrees, my husband chose the Tagliatelle (Fantastic), my son ordered the risotto (Unbelievably good!), and I had the Pumplin Gnocchi (Absolutely delightful). Campo is a bit on the expensive side, but worth every penny! Thank you for a unique dining experience I will never forget.
The food was very good. Got there at 2:15 for late lunch, advertised as 2:30 to 5:00 everyday. The online menu shows a late lunch menu that was completely different than what was available at the restaurant. There was absolutely no pasta dishes on the late lunch menu that we were given. Also happy hour is 2:30 to 5pm daily, although no mention of only a few selections that are available for the happy hour price. Overall, the food that we ordered was very good, but probably should check ahead if certain dishes advertised on line will be available.
We came to Campo for dinner and drinks before a show. We were not disappointed by anything, from the calamari appetizers, sangria, to the delicious caramel dessert.
Always wonderful food and service. We meet here every couple of months to see a movie, recharge and enjoy truly great food.
Service always great even though we are all ladies.
Everything was great. Will return.
The pumpkin gnocchi was incredibly good. I was thinking about it for an extended period of time the next day.
My friends and I found this gem of a location. As three girls from San Francisco to find this quality of a eating experience was great. We wish that we had found this on our first night not the last. The bartenders were so great that we decided to eat there instead of our table. Everything they recommended was great, the didn't steer us wrong.
Took my husband here for his birthday. As always, excellent food and very nice, enthusiastic servers. They were even able to accommodate adding on another person to our party without any problem.
