Made a reservation and got seated as soon as we arrived. We were given tap water that tasted like they pulled it out of the river next to them and some bread (the only good part of this trip). This was all at 8pm exactly. Our waitress took about 5 minutes to get out drink order and appetizer order so all seemed fine but time starts rolling and we don't see her again for a while. At 8:30 I finally call the hostess over to inform her we haven't even had our order taken for our entree nor have our appetizer yet. The waitress doesn't come for another 10 minutes which is now 8:40ish and asks what's the problem and we mention we haven't had our order taken nor received our appetizer and she does a small everoll that she probably didn't think I noticed and goes to grab her tablet to take our order. Finally she takes that and runs off so I have to call her back to ask for refills of our drinks because they've been empty for nearly 25 minutes at this point and she says alright then leaves and has someone else deliver the drinks. We were seated on the outside patio and had been there so long that everyone who was originally there when we sat down and was long gone and their tables had been filled with new patrons. Our appetizer finally came out about 9 pm and was cold to the touch.. I understand restaurants are short staffed at the current time so I wasn't too pressed about any of this until the time reached 9:15 (They close at 9) and literally every table around us were already receiving their food and ours was still being prepared. That's when my anger started building. A runner finally brings out our food and my chicken was blackened to a crisp. It was rock hard, as dry as a chicken can possibly get, just inedible. The manager was very understanding and calm even if I wasn't and comped everything (since we didn't eat anything anyway) and we left still hungry and everything around was now closed.
Reservation at 7:15 didn't get sat until 7:30 and then no server nor silver nor drink orders until 7:40. so we left
found this gem on Open Table and took a chance. sat outside and the view was great. food was fantastic and drinks were good. The service was fair. they seemed pretty strapped for help but many places are right now. Would definitely go back and recommend
Big group of us were out on the patio overlooking the River. They took good care of us!
Service was very poor all around; slow, we didn’t receive what we ordered, inattentive, and not accommodating after we asked to correct our order. We weren’t super impressed with the food itself either. Overall - pretty disappointed
Great patio views but this place is struggling. Mediocre food and servers are not very knowledgeable or experienced. It's obvious that labor challenges have hit Campo hard. Too many good and reliable restaurants for us to give it a second chance.
BEST carbonara I’ve ever had! Went for the burrata but they were out. The fire grilled pineapple mojito (light mint) was absolutely delicious!
We chose to sit outside and the view of the river was obscured by a advertisement banner hanging on the fence in front of us. Service was slow from the moment we sat down until dinner was over. A salad was ordered with vinegar dressing. It came with some kind of creamy dressing and the waiter assured us it was what was ordered even though it clearly was not. Kale salad was ordered with fish. The salad arrived with no fish. I was told it was ready and be brought right out. I finished the salad before the fish arrived and was told it was being reheated and would be out in a moment. It was tough and dry. The waiter did not check on us to see bow things were and therefore we were not allowed the opportunity to order more drinks until our meal was finished.. Very unfortunate experience for our out of town guests.
Attending an event catered by Campo a few years ago and it was wonderful. Dinner last night was very disappointing. Service was very good but the food was not very good at all. And not very Italian, which is what I was expecting.
I was there on a date to have food and they initially tried to put us at a table which was very small
Both my date and I couldn’t believe they were trying to seat us there.
We then had to ask to be seated in a booth.
Would give zero stars if possible. We came on Father’s Day with a reservation, and received atrociously horrible service. They were not busy and had many employees just standing around chatting. They had just opened and had to “brew the iced tea”…after asking about it multiple times the bus boy finally got us a different drink. We received better service from the bus boy than from the waitress!!!! We saw another table of 2 get up and walk out as they didn’t receive any service after being seated for 15 minutes. Food was good but service was nonexistent. We will definitely not be back or recommend this place to anyone.
Food was excellent. Service was subpar. We waited 10 min before a server came to our table. We got our appetizers before our glasses of wine. My husband ordered coffee with dessert and I ate all my dessert before he was even able to ask the server about the whereabouts of his coffee.
Food was very good and service was very attentive. We had asked to have them take their time when bringing entrees S we had ordered appetizers and the entrees came too quickly.
Also, they had installed a banner on the patio facing out which blocked the view of the river.
This is the first time we’ve been back since they had shut down due to COVID. We were very excited to be back, food never disappoints and staff was so friendly!
Great wait staff. Very friendly. Wonderful food. We sat outside and had a great view of the river.
I have been to campo over 100 times. this was not the same. we ordered drinks and appetizers and they came out together with the ice melted and food cold. They changed servers on us without explanation and we had 2 drinks with 1 app / pizza / burger for $80
I dont mind paying if service and food is good but neither were great in this case
Ordered the steak and chicken dish. Came out timely and tasted amazing. Steak was cooked to perfection
Our waiter got 2/3 of the orders wrong, and the food took quite a bit so we didn’t want to send it back to wait more. The water comes in a jar, but wasn’t cold because of no ice. We did get there early so we were glad that they seated us before our reservation time.
The food was good and the server was great even though they were very short handed so it took a long time. I thought it was a bit pricey especially considering there were people with dogs barking two tables away. And some guy smoking right near us inside the patio area where we were seated. If I’m gonna fork out almost $500 I would expect there not to be barking dogs there (service dogs don’t generally sit there barking in a restaurant) and I definitely don’t want second hand smoke with my meal.
Had to get a reservation at 9pm as no earlier reservation available. When arrived was almost empty!!!!!!! Barman had actually gone home so as it was Saturday night that must tell you something!Used to be great food but was really less than mediocre. The desert was actually wrapped in plastic so probably was from a supermarket or7/11!!!!
Convenient Riverwalk setting. Nice atmosphere. Great food. Great service.
Shared the roasted cauliflower, burrata, lobster risotto, and carbonara and loved it all. Wine list was a little lacking, but definitely had good options. Solid manhattan. Definitely recommend and will be back
Our group sat on the patio and took advantage of the mild evening. The food was delicious and our Server, Kirsten, was fantastic. She was personable, knowledgeable about the menu (it was our first visit), and knew exactly when to check in on how we were doing.
A GREAT experience!
This restaurant was available for reservations on OpenTable. Upon arrival for our reservation, the restaurant was closed. This is most likely COVID related. Regardless, the OpenTable reservations should have been turned off.
Well it was very nice to make a reservation, have it confirmed , then find out that the restaurant was closed, not notification or anything just a note on the door! Sure glad I drove an hour to have a nice dinner with family to find out the restaurant is closed!
It was closed! They need to modify so it shows correctly on open table.
Made a reservation through Open Table for 5:30 pm on November 29. Ubered here only to find the place was “closed until further notice.” Would be nice if the two companies could communicate that part.
This resturant wasn't even open and no one called to notify us. We had to eat fast food because everywhere was booked for the holiday weekend.
The food was very underwhelming. Items on the menu seemed intriguing but the outcome was far from satisfying. The tiramisu almost felt watered down as if it had been in the freezer and began to thaw out. The fish special was sadly disappointing. The salmon was an odd mixture of bright pink and gray color. The service wasn’t too bad. Wasn’t too busy so noise level was quiet. Overall the food needs improvement especially for the price. Wouldn’t recommend.
Over all the food was good, the only problem was my noodles were under cooked and cold when I was served. The fish special 😔
My daughter loved it! She went there with some of her friends to celebrate her 16th birthday.
Food wasn't very good. Sat inside in a booth. Comfortable and ambience we were looking for. Wine was nice. Pasta sauce tasted sweet like out of a jar. Breaded chicken tasted as if overcooked before it was reheated. Bruschetta and Margherita pizza also sub-par. Service was also nice, but don't plan to return.
Great except at the end where they add a service fee to the bill, which supposedly covers the tip. But then the blank spot on the bill with the tipping percentages is left for you to fill out: double tipping? I’m sure many people don’t notice this sham and we let the manager know we didn’t think it was cool.
The pasta in both dishes was severely overcooked to almost mushy noodles. The marinara sauce was fairly unremarkable and the Alfredo sauce had a strange wine taste. The calamari appetizer was quite good. We also had the wood fired cauliflower appetizer which was hard and undercooked and over sauced. They also added a service charge which was the same as a 18% tip to the bill and then left a space for you to add a tip. Wouldn’t go back or recommend because of the lousy food. The staff was friendly and attentive but that doesn’t make up for the bad food they serve.
You should make customers aware of the 18% COVID charge when the reservation is placed, not after the table is seated with bread and water served.
Even with the restrictions in place, the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was super fresh and looked great, as well.
Our waiter was awesome and very knowledgeable about he menu and drinks. I love the outdoor seating but a street musician was playing and it was loud.
Worst experience in recent memory. Arrived 10 minutes early for my 7pm reservation but the restaurant had plenty of availability so I was seated right away. Bread and water arrived fairly quickly, little did I know that was to be my meal! Waitress was a little slow getting to me but nothing alarming. I went with her suggestion and a glass of wine. Wine arrived fairly quickly and then things went downhill. At the 45 minute mark a staff member brought a complimentary second glass and apologized for the delay. At one hour I walked out, leaving my complimentary glass and cash to cover the glass I’d ordered. Jack in the Box saved my evening...
Food was great but we didn’t know is the owner adds an automatic %18 to your bill it says to be able to pay fair wages. Ok, that’s fine but my service better be phenomenal. The support staff were wonderful. Our waiter could not have cared less and the service was terrible
My friend and I had an excellent time at camp to celebrate her birthday! We had pasta, pizza, cheese plate and salad. It was all very delicious. Our best experience of the night was with Andrew, our server. He was very engaging and helpful, and he checked in on us often. His polite demeanor and kind heartedness coupled with his excellent sense of humor made for a fun time.
