Campiello - Naples Ratings and Reviews
Always wonderful! I brought an out-of-town friend and wanted to show her the best of Naples. Our "regular" server was not available in the main dining room (where we wanted to sit), but we had two servers (yes, two) who were wonderful. We took advantage of the restaurant week menu which is an incredible value. I highly recommend it. Although we ordered from the "special" restaurant week menu, portions were generous and the options were delectable. My friend was beyond impressed. We ate at a few other fine Naples restaurants during her stay with me, but Campiello's was her favorite for food, ambiance, and service. BTW, the butterscotch budino is a "must try" dessert! Thank you for a wonderful evening on Saturday night!
restaurant week food was a come on.
have eaten at this restaurant many time for the last 14 years, very disappointing meal.
sat inthe back courtyard, very very, very noisy.
a table of 16 loud and yelling women caused a very unpleasant dining experience.
dont think we will be back
Campiello is possibly our favorite restaurant in Naples. The food and atmosphere is outstanding. The young, professional server that assisted us throughout our long business lunch was fantastic. He was patient, professional and kind. No attitude whatsoever (as a negative, condescending attitude used to occasionally occur with some of the old-time servers). This is a really great restaurant. With the most recent promotion of more junior staff to server positions, the one possible weak-spot of Campiello’s restaurant is actually improving. Congratulations to the restaurant management for keeping this successful restaurant completely customer-focused and customer-friendly.
There was a long wait for our food. Our waitress was busy with a large group which had arrived early. I should have asked for dressing on the side of the salad as it was too heavy. The cobia was too charred to taste the fish. The pork chop was excellent. Nice desserts. The live music was loud so it was too noisy. We have been there before and were much happier. Unfortunately, we were entertaining guests and it was disappointing.
When I made the reservation I specifically said I wanted to eat outside. When we arrived we were ushered into the worst area in the restaurant - the indoor area in the back. I was not offered, although it appeared to be available, the back outdoor area. In any event this restaurant is always so overbooked it is virtually impossible to be seated outdoors which is unfortunate because the food is actually quite good
Delicious food! We had booked only the day before for seven diners (at 5:30) and then had to change to nine people the following day. But the restaurant accommodated us. Unfortunately, our table seemed to be an afterthought, as it was directly to the left of the hostess stand. It was under a low ceiling and one of the three mini-lights was out. Thus, it was dark (use your phone flashlights we were advised), very warm (no ceiling fans), and noisy. But we all enjoyed each other's company and the Restaurant Week special dining menu was a hit among all diners.
suggest asking for outdoor seating - there is also an outdoor atrium in the back, or specify "under ceiling with skylight and fans)
We visited Campiello for my birthday dinner and had a wonderful evening! We had a reservation and still had a short wait and then were seated outside against a wall covered in greenery and flowers! Rarely can I clear my plate at a restaurant but we both ate every single thing! Our server was great and brought me the most amazing dessert for my birthday. We would definitely return here next time we are in naples.
