Loved the calamari, also had good customer service
My husband and I tried the two available specials. My husband was very please with his, mine was good. We seemed to be the youngest people having dinner. Service and food was good, just felt in the middle where we were sitting in a covered patio area. No privacy for our table. Well lighted. Bar was over full.
Came here for a birthday dinner. We had the calamari appetizer which would have been great without the spiciness of all the chilies on top. If you're going to add chilies it should be paired with some sweetness in the dipping sauce which it didn't. The sauce fell flat. My mother ordered the lamb and it was very rare. The herb mixture on the outside was way too acidic and clashed with the meat. She was not sure what the starchy side was...maybe potatoes with a fried coating on the outside? They were pretty flavorless. I had what was supposed to be a ribeye but looked and tasted more like a lean filet. Not much flavor despite the gorgonzola butter and needed some salt desperately...only to not find any salt on the table. The menu on the website said the side was supposed to be gorgonzola mac n cheese...it was a baked potato. My mother had a margarita which she said was very good. The birthday chocolate ganache with raspberries was also very good. Our server was very nice but the staff member who seated us was not real friendly and almost rude. I will not be back again...one and done for me.
Very nice way to celebrate our Granddaughter’s 16th Birthday! She loves Brunch!
We had a very excellent meal and the service was great. I believe our servers name was MaryBeth, she did a great job. I'm sorry if I got her name wrong. I was a little disappointed with our table. It was very cold and we did make reservations. Next time I will ask for a better table. We did have a wonderful time even with the cold. Next we will bring friends.
My wife and I met friends at Campagnia. We ate on the heated patio and had a great meal. Service was great. We had a good, reasonably priced bottle of wine, good salad, excellent entre' and a very good bread pudding and coffee. The energy and atmosphere were good - vibrant and lively, but not too noisy or distracting. We have never had a bad experience here. Campagnia is one of Fresno's best!
Normally the food is quiet good, but last night the meal was marginal at best. Ordered the special pasta with lobster in a vodka cream sauce. The lobster was over cooked, rubbery, and was placed on top of the pasta. It had no flavor or seasoning and was very bland. The pasta was in a red sauce and not creamy at all. The service was very sporadic and we had to ask he person who delivered water to get our second round of drinks. During dinner, we were asked if we wanted dessert and then the check arrived - we felt rushed to pay it and leave. They were definitely off their game. I hope it is an anomaly and not a downward decline of a normally fine dining option in Fresno. We need more fine dining options not fewer.
Food was good our waitress was outstanding she was on top of everything she always checked in with us to see if we needed anything made for great eating experience
While I did enjoy my time at Campagnia, I have to say that the service was pretty slow. I had a rezervation at 5:45 and I wasn't seated until around 6:05. It took awhile for our waiter to come back and take our order once we were seated. Other than that the food and the ambience were great. I would highly recommend.
Great wait staff, very knowledgeable about the food on the menu the wine list. They were very atentitive to our table. Just a wonderful experience.
I spent my Valentine’s Day with my wife here and everything turned out very well. For being valentine, and super busy, we still receive good service. We’ll definitely be back. Keep up the good work
It was great. Long wait time to get seated but food was worth it!
Overal service and food was great but sat in a table by a door opening and my fiancé was cold the entire time and had people bumping into me as the went in and out of the door leading to the patio
Food was not as good as past visits. I had to send my $39 steak back to be cooked more.
Great food, great service!
Our table was ready when we arrived. Service was efficient and we weren't rushed. The food was tasty and prepared as requested when the request was different from the menu description. Setting was a bit strange with the patio wrapped in a kind of plastic, but it was comfortable even though there was a cold wind outside. My first time there, but I would go back on another visit to Fresno.
Great food and great hostess and awesome waiters and waitresses. Took my mother in law for an early Valentine’s dinner. She had Salmon and loved it .
Food was so, so! I was disappointed! Very over priced!
Server was rushed and not attentive. Salad and salmon we’re good. Pasta was flavorless. Salmon at $28 with just some spinach not a good value.
Campagnia has slipped to the level of AVERAGE yet the prices remain on the higher end. What was customarily a higher end classy establishment has fallen to an average experience both in ambiance, food quality, presentation and Service. This is sad and unnecessary and reflects Managements lack of attention to such details. Don't take my word for it: encourage management to visit other high end competitors and witness the experience. Ask yourselves if what you observed is felt at Campagnia's, I dare not! I want you to succeed but Management; you be your own worst enemy if you don't pay attention to such things. Good luck and I hope you can heed the changes necessary for survival?
everything was fine except for the person that seated us.
Will not be going back . Nothing special about the food . Very small portions , and I am not a big eater .
It was an okay experience the wait staff is great however ordered a bottle of wine after a debate of which to get just to find out they were out of it. So ordered s different bottle and they were out of that one too! Took too long to get a glass of wine at that point. If they are going to offer a discount on Weds nights on bottled wine then they should be well stocked! Food was good but not great ambiance is nice but the jazz music playing live while it was nice it was too loud to have a conversation over without yelling. We had to move tables in able to hear each other.
This restaurant was extremely loud and my husband and I were stuck on a tiny table between two walkways, (one to the bathroom and one to the kitchen). We could hardly move or we would be hitting someone going by. The noise level was so high that my husband and I had to shout to each other just to be heard! We will not be visiting this restaurant again anytime soon.
This is our first time to try the brunch.
It was so loud and next to us is a big baby shower also.
The most upsetting part was we need to wait 1/2 hour after our reservation time.
Food was good .
30 minute wait for table after arriving on time for reservation
Restaurant very busy because of Prom night.
Should have blocked out reservations
My colleague and I stopped at Campagnia for a bite to eat while in town. We took advantage of the happy hour and it was great! The house cab was great as was the calamari we shared and both of the pizzas we had. Definitely suggest this spot for casual occasions. However, the atmosphere of the restaurant would have made for a great date as well!
Looking for last minute dinner in Fresno. Decided to give this place a try. Service was good and the food was well prepared with good flavor. Good size portions and a good value. Depending on why you are there you may want to ask to be sested on enclosed patio. Much more quiet out there. Inside can be very loud due to the vibrant bar crowd. My wife eats a lot of lamb and tells me this may be one if the best she has had. I had a NY steak and it was cooked perfectvto what i adkef for (med}. Will eat here again
Wonderful expirance, good food and great service.
Horrible night. Had reservation for 9. Not seated til past 9:30. Only buffet available and no food was left. Servers were not helpful and standing with arms folded. When we were finally seated, had to flag down a waiter to get service.
This was supposed to be a special night for New Years. Very disappointing.
Very disappointed they had a Buffett for New Year Eace And NEVER told us when we made reservations, We found out when we arrived and it was not that good.
The buffet was awful, food was cold, the Hostess was rude. The only saving thing was that our waitress was great.
New Year’s Eve dinner
We were there for New Years Eve dinner. We were not aware that it was a buffet but we were surprisingly pleased. The only recommendation I would make would be to train the individual cutting the meat to know the difference between medium and medium rare when there is prime rib being served. Great job otherwise.
We have made this our Christmas Eve dinner tradition. They never disappoint.
They never disapoint us. Flawless
Always enjoy the pork chop entree with rice and veggies. But be forewarned: this place is NOISY.
