Outside dining perfected even before covid.
Halibut great - too much other stuff on the plate. Prefer the fish and a few side things, but the rest off the stuff overwhelmed the fish.
The service and food were amazing. I do think they could do a better job of social distancing and making sure that patrons wear their masks when walking around.
Great dinner and beautiful restaurant. Will definitely go back.
Another couple joined my husband and I for a leisurely dinner on a Friday night. We ate on the side patio area which is very open but covered so it is not cold. We had cocktails and I felt they had a decent selection of choices. For an appetizer, the couple shared the mini mushroom stuffed pumpkins - delicious and unique. My husband and I shared the pear salad which is my favorite. For the entree, two of us had the Chicken Milanese and it is large enough to take home half for the next day's lunch or dinner. The other two had the halibut and the pork chops. All the entrees were well liked by all. They have a good selection of desserts. I chose the chocolate mousse. I like when a dinner house serves mousse or creamed brûlée as they are not heavy so there is always room. Service was friendly but not intrusive. One of my favorite restaurants in town.
We went to Campania for our weekly ladies lunch. We both had the Pear Butter Lettuce Salad with chicken. We shared the bruschetta and we shared the lemon shortcake for dessert. The food was fantastic and the service was wonderful. Definitely on the “I will return” list!
I marked 'energetic' for the noise level, because that was the only relevant response available. Actually it was very noisy. So noisy that I could barely hear my wife. We literally had to yell at each other in order to communicate!
Ordered filet Mignon well done but it was very pink red. They took it back to cook it longer but gave me the same sides. Very disappointing! I expected better than that from such a nice place.
Fish was over cooked.
Celebrating my husbands birthday, Only our second time out since March and Covid. Great experience and thrilled to have our favorite server Mary Beth. Excellent food and service!
Visited Campagnia for our anniversary and enjoyed every minute. Our host was amazing, the COVID procedures were well followed and the food was amazing. I placed in our notes we were celebrating our anniversary and asked for a drink or a dessert - though we didn’t get it - I did appreciate that they all acknowledged it. Will definitely return.
Good was delicious and server gave amazing service!
Kinda loud in the large room to the left of the main indoor dining, but nothing we couldn’t handle. Glad I wasn’t a complainer👍Great service and food as always♥️
A must experience when in and around Fresno! Great food matched by equally great service. Ask for Shawna.
Birthday...complementary dessert was excellent
Tables were separated for both safety/noise level
All food items were perfectly prepared
Great menu selection for variety of dietary &
Only issue was background music was a little too loud
Great service & friendly staff! I would definitely go back.
Well, it was our first time dining at Campagnia, and its an odd time to be reviewing a restaurant. But, since you're asking for a review here goes:
We had reservations for 7:30pm (it was a Wednesday night), we waiting until 8pm to be seated. My asked me twice while we're we waiting if we should just leave. The calamari appetizer was fantastic and our server was wonderful, but that was all the highlights. The worst that thebSalmon was so over cooked it was nearly inedible. I guess I expected a little more from what is considered a high end restaurant. I understand these are strange times with Covid and all, but if you can't support you're reputation then do something to compensate for it. Sorry, just passing on our experience.
Our dinner out was great. The outside Atrium they have is beautiful. It was really nice to get out and have a nice sit down dinner. Food was great.
The food and staff were amazing. One of my favorite restaurants will be back soon!
The food, ambiance and outdoor patio are fantastic. Very quiet too. Love this place.
There aren't a lot of good restaurants in Fresno/Clovis like there are, for example, in Spain. There you can get really good meals for a decent price. Fresh ingredients, well-prepared. Given that situation, Campagnia is one of the few places to go, even though it's not priced for every-day dining.
I completely understand that things are more complicated given Covid, so I do very much appreciate that Campagnia is open. In a perfect unCovid world, I would love to have some more vegetarian entrees....
Even under COVID restrictions the outdoor seating is great. The food is very good, love the caprice salad with eggplant. And the severs are extremely attentive.
Never realized this place was open for lunch. They have plenty of outside eating space which was comfortable. They have a nice menu and the food was excellent. Staff is friendly and prompt. I will definitely be returning for lunch here !!
Unfortunately dinner was really bad. Started off great with watermelon cucumber refreshers, kudos to the bartenders. Bread was a little stale, and there was more balsamic vinaigrette than olive oil so the dip was a little sour. House salads were really good so whoever tossed that salad get your freak on! Entree’s are where it hit the fan. I’m convinced I had a cheap steak folded over and wrapped in bacon that was passed off as a filet mignon. Which would explain why it was so dry!!!! Don’t remember the last time I had a steak that I got tired of chewing.... guess tonight was my lucky night. Wife has short rib lasagna, she said it was too sweet and barely had any meat at all. Our waitress Shawna was super cool and apologized a ton, even though it wasn’t her fault. Since we barely ate dinner we ordered dessert, how you screw that up? Ask the same chef who jacked up a steak, cause my creme brulee was overcooked and curdled. All in they gave me a discount which I tried to refuse initially, I don’t think I should pay less just because the chef sucked, but because of that I may come back... Post-COVID..... on that chefs day off....
Great! Highly recommend!
Great service, and the food was better than I expected, especially for the price. Great date night
As always very happy with the service and the food.
Always have a great experience and food is always fantastic.
Food was fantastic.
Considering the pandemic everything went extremely well. Service, food and compliance with COVID19 safety was done exactly as I expected.
Great food, great atmosphere and great night out!
Some of the worst Italian food we have eaten. The most enjoyable part of the meal was the wine.
We enjoyed a delightful lunch keeping cool on the patio on a very hot day. Our salads were fresh and delicious! Socially distancing has never been so pleasant. The efficient, friendly, professional staff put a lovely spin on our rare afternoon out.
MANAGER WAS AWFUL! Rude. Argued with customers. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE !!!!!
Great place for great food at a great price. Highly recommend to anyone that wants to take a Covid break, plenty of room between tables and everyone adheres to the social distancing which is comforting.
Dining out on the covered patio was a great experience
It took over an hour to get our food which was overcooked. The patio had a large, loud, drunk group that couldn’t contain their foul language. The guy sitting next to us felt the need to smoke. We had to say something to him, the restaurant didn’t. Our tab came to $177 and I can honestly say we overpaid for what we got. We won’t return.
Missing some of your previous food items; however, the ambiance outside was very nice and cool!
Good food. Service good overall, but felt like we were being rushed to get out so they could turn the table. We had a nice bottle of wine, but still ended up there barely over an hour with all the pushing to grab plates, empty the wine bottle, etc. We had planned to take half the bottle home, but it got poured faster than we could say anything. A lot of money to spend for a rushed evening. May not go again for awhile.
Campagnia is one of the best restaurants in Fresno in my opinion, as far as service and quality of food. Everything there is pretty much good that I have ordered; halibut, steak, pasta, pizza, burger.
Campagnia offers takeout which you can order by calling the restaurant at (559) 433-3300.
