   Had a Wednesday night dinner and the best part of the evening was our server. She was very attentive, very sweet, very helpful describing the food (I wish I remembered her name to give her a special shout out). The food is pretty good, the bruschetta appetizer is very flavorful. My vegan spicy hummus sandwich could’ve maybe used lettuce or something more on it… But overall it was a good meal. It’s a neat little atmosphere, we like the story behind how it was born. We love Yosemite 😊

   By far our favorite place to have a meal in Modesto for so many reasons. Here are 5 in no particular order: 1.) Food Quality - food is always beyond compare! Innovation in the dishes, the diversity, plating, it all feels special. As long as the bruschetta with burrata stays on the menu forever, I'll continue to try all the menu and be overjoyed. I love the seasonal options on the back of the menu! 2.) Wine Flights/wine in general. We lived in Europe for many years and did wine tours in France, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Africa and other countries. The disadvantage is that we are hard to impress when it comes to wine. Camp 4 does it every time! The thought put into the wine flights makes one know that the pairings are so super smart. They know wine! 3.) Service - I mean, we love Kevin! It is abundantly clear that every server is well trained, knowledgeable, personable and friendly and they all just elevate a dining experience! 4.) Ambiance - My husband loves that he can wear jeans, even though he is well aware that we will get an upscale meal with exceptional service in an intimate setting. Camp 4 is it's own vibe! The natural elements, the industrial/eclectic decor is relaxed but special. The ode to the owner's father in the mural and other decor goes straight to my heart. 5. If Camp 4 were in the Bay Area, forget it. It would be booked every night solid. Hard to get reservations, intimacy would disappear and prices would double. Those are just 5 of the many reasons we are so damn lucky to have Camp 4 in Modesto!

    We always love the food and atmosphere. Our waitresses was amazing and was able to explain everything, including the wine to us in detail. We haven’t been in a while and always wonder why we don’t make it more of a habit. We will now!!

    I went with a group to Camp4 just for wine and an appetizer, but the service was wonderful and the ambiance was great. We ended up staying for dinner, too! I will be back

    Celebrating my dear friend’s 51st BD. Soup of the day ( lemon chicken orzo soup ) was nice. We both ordered the tri-tip panini ( nice and perfect temperature ) accompanied with a very good green mixed salad. We had a glass of very nice Savignon Blanc wine, very refreshing. She got a complimentary dessert for her BD ( I think it was some kind of panini with Nutella ) and I think that was a very nice compliment/touch from the restaurant. Service was fine. Definitely a place to go back. Thank you Camp 4 Wine Cafe!

    Easy to find. Service is great. Had a good time. Paninis are the best. Stay away from chocolate paninis. They are deadly and they are mine.

    This is my favorite restaurant in Modesto and the place I bring my out-of-town visitors to. The poke vegan bowl is amazing and what I usually get. There is good variety of food items so everyone can find something they want. Every wait person has been kind, helpful, and personable. But what really makes this place stand out is its history as the original home of Royal Robbins apparel & equipment shop. The photos in the main dining room are stunning.

    Food was great but service was not up to the usual standard. Upon check-in for our reservation the hostess told us the restaurant was quite busy and we’d be expected to clear our table in 1-1/2 hr. We felt rushed and when we left—on schedule—the restaurant was half empty with many vacant tables. Our party left and went elsewhere.

    Brought the family for my mother’s Birthday. Olivia was so helpful in choosing from all the great things on the menu and when we had an extra person show up Olivia was right there to set us up with another place setting. The Panini’s were outstanding and everyone loved the soup. Last Olivia brought my mom the chocolate Panini with a candle. It was a great birthday and we will be back soon to try the beer and wine.

    Right when we walked through the door we were met with great customer service. The hostess and our server were both so kind! We received our food fast and it was delicious. My husband and I were first time customers last night; but have definitely been converted to returning customers. Thank you for a great night! :)
