Cameron's American Bistro Ratings and Reviews
The food and service were terrific but the noise level and the congested space ruined the experience for us. We couldn’t wait to get the bill so we could get away from the noisy room and claustrophobic feeling we got in the restaurant. We will probably not return.
This was our first time to Cameron’s and we loved it. To start, the bread was some of the best we’ve ever had. And served with a fresh garlic piece, yum. Loved the pan fried chicken, puréed carrot and ginger soup, and the Meyer lemon dessert. Excellent service and a very nice atmosphere. Will be back!!
Cameron's is our favorite spot for just the two of us. We come all the time. Unfortunately the Waiter was unfamiliar to us and he did not even tell us the specials.. at the end of our meal we overheard the other waiter tell the table behind us what the special was! Terrible! During the meal, we had to wait forever for him and had to call for him when he walked by in order to order more wine. I only like our regular server so I won't be back on a Tuesday night that's for sure.
Dawna is a wonderful waitress. The special was OUTSTANDING. The manager came by to check on our dinner and everything else about our dining that night. We selected a very good wine. And we love the bread and roasted garlic. The caesar salad featured fresh lettuce, and the dressing was perfectly applied - not too much and not too little.
Been here before and had the Walleye. It was outstanding. No Walleye on the menu in winter. Tried the duck. Good but nothing special. Service was slow and waitress was not very attentive. My wife loved the scallops and wine. We will be back in early summer for the Walleye.
Cameron's is a classy restaurant where you get wonderful food, excellent service, and the noise level is low allowing you to converse easily with your friends without having to constantly repeat yourself. The presentation of the entrees is very nice and the serving amounts is good. The great attention to detail is outstanding- typical Of all Cameron Mitchell restaurants.
When I think of a Cameron Mitchell restaurant I expect above average food and exceptional service. Both exceeded my expectations despite being there on a very busy New Years Eve. Everything I tasted (which was quite a bit) was good, but I feel the need to single out the flatbread app and the pork chop. I never order flatbread at restaurants but it was highly recommmended and I’m so glad we tried it. I did not look like much but the flavors were on point. Same situation with the pork chop. I haven’t had one in a restaurant in years and it was amazing. It was a slightly different take on what you’d normally see on a menu and I’d go back just to have that again.
I eat here all the time and it is consistently good. My only disappointment was the NYE menu was not as exciting as I would have liked.
Aside from that - it was a delightful way to spend NYE. Kudos to our server who managed to do a great job on a very busy night.
I think this restaurant is the best one of Cameron Mitchell!
Cameron's has always had some negatives, mainly noise and tables which are close together. However, the food and service are consistently good. We've dined there dozens of times.
But they must do something about the parking situation, which is becoming essentially impossible. After dropping my wife off, it took me 20 minutes to find a parking spot, and that was at the vet's office next door which had closed for the evening. I'm not sure I'm willing to keep putting up with the parking hassle. It would seem that having parking valets is the only reasonable option at this point.
