Cameron's American Bistro
There’s always a great reason to celebrate at Cameron’s American Bistro, a Worthington neighborhood favorite.
Monday – Thursday: 5:00pm – 10:00pm
Friday & Saturday: 5:00pm – 11:00pm
Sunday: 5:00pm - 9:00pm
Have been coming here for our anniversary for the past couple of years. Food is always INCREDIBLE and the service is nothing short of amazing. They have given us flowers and wished us a Happy Anniversary each year, even offering a free dessert! We love this place and look forward to coming each year.
Fabulous as usual!!!
Everything was fine, except my friend ordered the lamb chops and said he was still hungry after eating. There were 4 small chops . There could have been a few more for the cost. Other than that, no problem.
American Bistro is consistently excellent- our date nite go to. Attentive service, great food, friendly staff! A place where we can dine with confidence, knowing our time and money will be well spent.
It was our first time at Cameron’s American Bistro and certainly won’t be our last!!! It was outstanding! I started w a lemon drop martini-one of the best I’ve ever had! Our waiter, James, took excellent care of us. I had flounder topped with crabmeat, garlic mashed potatoes and slim green beans that were cooked perfectly! The flounder melted in my mouth it was such tender, juicy fish. My husband had the fried chicken which was cooked so fabulously. What a perfect dinner for our 38th Anniversary!
I really appreciated the fact that you read my request for a booth then honored it. Impressive.
I have dined at Cameron’s many times and always have impeccable service and delicious food. My favorite is the Walleye but I also love the Shrimp and Grits. I took my visiting French friend and she loved the Fried Chicken. I highly recommend this restaurant!
James is an awesome server and the food is divine
Our server, James went above and beyond to make our experience a great one! Thank you!
This was my first time to this Cameron Mitchell's restuarant and it was not disappointing. Exceptionl food and service with well designed and throughtout options. The wine list is not extensive, but has many good choices and lots of diversity.
I did find the restaurant a little noisy, which made it hard for casual conversation. The price was also on the high side.
Excellent meal as always!!!
We chose sea bass and walleye--both were outstanding. We asked to split the heirloom tomato salad, which was also delicious. My husband was disappointed that there was not an oyster appetizer, but he enjoyed the shrimp cocktail. The warm bread and roasted garlic/butter were perfect. We chose Creme Brûlée and Bread Pudding for dessert. I was disappointed that tiramisu was not a choice. Our server was outstanding. It was a warm night (around 90), and it would have been nice to have a cold soup on the menu. How about White Gazpacho for a summer addition? Place in Blender: 2 cups chopped, peeled and seeded cucumber, 2 cups chilled chicken or vegetable broth, 2 cups sour cream, 1 tsp chopped garlic. Blend thoroughly, then add: 2 Tablespoons white vinegar, 1/3 cup chopped red onion, 1/3 cup chopped green onion, 1/4 cup chopped cilantro, 1/3 cup diced roma tomatoes, salt & pepper to taste, float toasted almonds on top.
We have celebrated both of our birthdays and anniversaries here for years. It never disappoints. Until now. Although Cameron's horrible is better than most restaurants' excellent, the food was just not at the level it usually is. My husband and I were both fishing and setting aside the worst of the browned pieces of lettuce in each of our Caesar salads. The salads are always very fresh and crisp and I'm not sure what happened, if the produce truck didn't show up or what. On top of that, my side dish was scalloped potatoes and it was black on top. If I hadn't known what it was, I would not have recognized it. I feel so bad saying all this, because we've been there so many times and had nothing but kudos for them. And, as usual, the server was attentive, the hostess gave us the seating we requested, the lovely manager, Keith, stopped and spoke to us. These two flaws in food prep was the one and only negative. It never happens. On top of it, they kindly comped us dessert since it was my husband's 50th anniversary, so I wish I could say it was as perfect as it usually is. Sorry, Cameron's!
Cameron’s was a great choice, as always. Excellent food and service!
Birthday - lovely dinner and place to celebrate
Recommended to me I am from Chicago, gave it a try food was awesome everything was fresh and perfectly prepared. They can compete with the best of them.
Cameron's American Bistro is consistently amazing!! The food quality is always outstanding and the service from the wait staff goes above and beyond the call of duty!! Highly recommended!!
Very nice BD celebration!
Food and service excellent. Both the Walleye (their specialty) and lamb chops were great. Drink prices a bit high, and no happy hour or early dining, but a nice place for a special occasion.
This was our first visit to Cameron’s American Bistro and it was exactly what we’ve come to expect from Cameron Mitchell’s restaurants: incredible food, impeccable service and perfect ambiance. It’s easy to forget that you’re dining in a room filled with others and that’s pretty amazing. We were so comfortable, we didn’t want to leave. I think it’s safe to say we will be back.
Celebrated a birthday. Very nice overall. Would like a few more non-seafood options.
Although my husband and I usually really enjoy the food at this restaurant, it was subpar on this evening. My husband had a shrimp pasta entree and the pasta was tasteless without any kind of sauce at all. I chose the special, which was sea bass and scallops. Although the scallops were good, both the portion size and preparation of the sea bass left much to be desired. Not at all what we would expect for such expensive meals!
As usual, the food and service were awesome! We started out with the calamari and crab cake. My husband had the Filet and I had the scallops for dinner. He also had the creme brûlée. Everything was perfect. We also had a drink I the bar prior to dinner and the bartender, James was very personable and did a great job. Cameron’s is one of our favorite restaurants in Columbus. We have recommended it to several friends and have always got great feedback from everyone. Keep up the great work!
Good food, good service, a little noisy and crowded. But good experience overall!
Excellent food and outstanding service. Always a pleasant experience.
We ate Father's Day dinner . It was dellicious, we had walleye and my son had the scalops. They were delicious. The attentive staff was helpful but not intruding. It is really hard to fault any of Cameron Mitchel restaurant. I have lived here 25 years and I have never had a bad meal.
Cameron’s is always a favorite and their “yes we can do that” culture is appreciated.
Both the food and service here are very good. The meal my spouse had was a pasta dish and one would normally expect at least some type of sauce. That is either not their intent or it was missing. That said, the flavors worked well together. We will go again. Not yet our go-to spot but among those we consider the best in the area.
My husband didn't care for the sauce given with shrimp cocktail. Said it had pieces of tomato in it , was chunky, and needed to be pureed more.
The shrimp pasta needed a taste boost -- it was rather bland.
We really like American Bistro and will always return.
Great Food - Terrific Service - All in All l, Simoly the Best!
We eat at CAMERONS quite often as do our son and daughter-in-law. It somewhat too loud for us
but we "suffer" through it. The ambience is great as is the food. We would not hestitate to eat there
again and recommend the restaurant, especially to "out of towners". George E. Wilson
Made for a Great Father's Day!
Took my parents here for Father's Day. Started with the always amazing Flatbread. I had the heirloom tomato salad -- a perfect taste of summer and my mom got the goat cheese salad. My mom and I had the special -- a filet topped with poached shrimp and chimichurri -- absolutely amazing! My father is very much a red meat person, but he was tempted by "Cameron's Walleye". He absolutely loved it. Talked about it the next day even! Service, as always, was impeccable. Chef Jennie Printz did an amazing job -- taste, presentation, --- Absolutely perfect. Dining room manager Liz was amazing. My parents were impressed by how friendly and gracious Jennie, Liz, and the staff were.
You can never go wrong going to Cameron's American Bistro!
Very pleasing. We plan to return.
My husband and I don't get to go to dinner alone very often, but when we do, we always go to a Cameron Mitchell restaurant so we aren't disappointed. Cameron's is our favorite. I always get the teriyaki salmon. The soy butter sauce is so good! My husband got the shrimp & grits this time. It was seasoned perfectly. We had the crab cake for an appetizer. It was big enough for us to share and we both loved it.
Wow. Just amazing. The food was OUTSTANDING! Our waitress was wonderful. She had the best recommendations and knowledge of wine pairings was on point. She was thoughtful and considered every part of our dish to make her recommendation. I can not wait to go back!
One of my all-time favorite restaurants. Have gone to Cameron's four times in the last month. I love the bar area. Great place to have dinner and meet new friends.
This is the third anniversary we have celebrated at Cameron's American Bistro. We really like that they treat us special - a rose for the table, staff members all wishing us happy anniversary, complimentary dessert and always a very good meal.
I tried their signature walleye for the first time and it was fantastic! I usually eat vegetarian, but this was worth it.
One thing keeping this from being a 5-start rating is that we were very crowded at our table for two (tables were very close together along the wall) and it was very noisy because the restaurant was full. Once the crowd thinned a bit, the noise level was better.
This is one of our favorite places for great food and service. The one we seem to always go to for birthday and our anniversary.
Fabulous food. Shrimp and Grits are to die for???
