The food was excellent and the staff was very attentive and friendly. Best seafood pasta I've had in a long while! Would recommend for any special occasion. The venue also has very gorgeous views!
Tuna melt was a little cold when I received it, other than that it was very good!.
I went to the Mill on Thursday night on a date and was looking forward to experiencing "buck a shuck". I was sincerely disappointed to find out that it was only being served at the bar (which I wasn't able to go to because of my age) and was told I would have to pay full price for the oysters instead. I found it was a misleading promotion because there's no warning that you have to be a certain age to participate in "buck a shuck".
Beautiful setting. Comfortable seating. Delicious food. Will go back again.
We totally enjoyed our lunch. The salads were very good, and we were able to relax and talk.
Thank you. We will come again!
The view and food are both incredible. All the food portions very good. We had the chicken and waffles and the duck pizza. Next time we’re going to try the burgers.
It was great and the buffalo cauliflower was delicious!
had to ask about the bread basket after the meal was served
Everything about our experience with The Mill was 'first class'. We were seated just where we asked to be, with a view of the river . An added bonus was being placed near the large, cheerful fireplace. That placement and the almost subliminal but appropriate music made for a very welcoming and warm ambiance. We ordered the 'Monday Special' and it, like everything else that was put on that table, was just as we ordered , elegantly presented and just to our taste. The wine that Paul suggested suited the meal very nicely too as did the light but very nice desserts . A good sever can make even a 'truck-stop meal' a treat. The servers we had really knew their business. They were quick and polite, witty but not familiar and helpful without being obtrusive. The bill was less than expected. At other venues we've often paid much more and enjoyed the fare much less. We will be spending our upcoming anniversary celebration at The Mill
We stopped in on our way to Langdon Hall for lunch and were pleasantly surprised to have such a great view of the water alongside a delicious bite to eat. Staff was friendly and attentive and the menu offered lots of choice. We were very pleased with our meals and the experience overall!
I love a restaurant with character and ambience and the Cambridge Mill is exactly that. Our server was charming and the food was delicious. Combined with the beautiful view it was a memorable experience. Thank you so much !
We went for a family dinner on Saturday night to celebrate the start of March Break. Steaks, cassoulet and the squid ink linguine were all delicious! Our server was great, reservations made easily on OpenTable. We will definitely return
First time visiting the Cambridge Mill. Can't wait to go back again! Excellent service and attention to detail. Food was fantastic!
We ate at the Mill this past Saturday and enjoyed every minute.-it was just as exceptional as it had been for our daughters wedding three years ago. Our servicer Anita greeted us right away and asked if we were celebrating anything which we were-my birthday. (She continued to be attentive and extremely enjoyable during our meal). From the warm bread, grape/apple salad to the perfectly cooked steak our meal was outstanding. Topped off by the chocolate mousse pudding that they graciously gave me for my birthday.
The romantic setting of the Mill over the water made our evening out a memorable time. We can’t wait until our next visit.
Booked a reservation and mentioned that it was an anniversary.
Greeted by the server with a glass of "bubbly" which just added to the quality of the experience.
Excellent server - very attentive and knowledgeable.
The food was awesome.
And the view overlooking the water - "WOW".
Thanks for the memory.
We will be back again.
Was well worth the drive to Cambridge!!
The atmosphere, service from Michael and the food was outstanding!
Not many vegetarian options the one they did have were not enjoyable
Great Food Waitress lovely/professional Loved the anbience Everyone was pleasant
Great food, but very disappointing service. We were treated very rudely and it ruined the birthday that we were celebrating.
A great experience as expected.
I made the reservation a week in advance but they were able to accommodate my request for a table in their solarium that overlooked the water. The waitress that served us was very welcoming and pleasant. The food was delicious. We had the mushroom risotto with chicken, the 10 oz. sirloin that was cooked to perfection, with a glass of Riesling on the side. The crème brûlée was also to die for. Highly recommended, well worth the money for one of the finest dining experiences in the tri-city area!
Went for their Thursday special, we were seated in the dinning area and were not told we could not have the special unless we were in the bar until after we had ordered drinks. Food was ok and service was great... just a little disappointing
We went for Sunday Brunch and the selection was incredible! Great Good, great environment!
I have been to the Cambridge Mill Sunday Brunch around 7 times and I have never been disappointed, the food is constantly fresh the service is great.
Our party of 4 made reservations for Sunday brunch. We arrived on time, were greeted by the hostess and told it would be a few minutes to be seated. There were several groups ahead of us (about 5 other tables) and I was impressed with the prompt seating considering this.
The views of the Grand River are beautiful and even though the restaurant was busy, it didn’t feel cramped or overcrowded. The food tables are in two separate rooms, but it really works and you get to see more of the restaurant. The food options are incredible (listed on the website), everything tasted amazing and I appreciated that mimosas and coffee were included in the brunch price. Everything you get is well worth the cost and it was a lovely experience. I can’t wait to go back!
5 Stars as always. I have only been to the Mill for Brunch once before (many visits for dinner!). Fantastic selection and very fresh food. The staff is always so courteous and well mannered. The Mill never disappoints!!
Great place to eat. Took my boyfriend there for a surprise birthday dinner for his first time and were already talking about going back in the summer when the weather is nice. They were very accommodating and booking through open table for reservation made it so easy. Great service and great food for a reasonable price!
My wife, son and daughter-in-law thoroughly enjoyed our dinners at Cambridge Inn. David C. served us with friendliness and excellent service throughout the evening. We were seated on the window in the dining room overlooking the rushing water as we requested in our reservation. My son requested 6 - 1$ oysters but the waiter said that was a bar item only on Fridays.
The fresh bread was delicious and a second tray was delivered without need to request it. My wife and I shared the Caesar Saland and my son and his wife shared the House Salad. Both were cold and tasty.
I had the 10oz Striploin served perfectly MR as requested. My wife had the lamb (shank and chops), my son had the pork which consisted of 3 types. Our daughter-in-law had the king cod. All 4 meals were rated excellent by each of us. The various vegetables and mashed potatoes were excellent as well.
We all shared the apple cake and that concluded a perfect evening.
Both our son’s were married there and their reception dinners were both first rate.
My wife and I regularly enjoy the Monday steak, frites and wine special and have never been disappointed.
It was amazing! Looking forward to going back. Thank you for making my moms birthday special.
Celebrating a 40th... the cold buffet was delicious! Oysters were perfect, smoked salmon was excellent and the charcuterie was wonderful. Great selection of fresh fruit and bread. Mimosa and Caesar’s a nice touch. The hot buffet could have been hot. I was warm at best and some items were cold. The dessert crepes were fantastic! Overall it was good.... thanks for the birthday cupcake it was I nice touch
The food, service and ambience are top notch. Our waiter was amazing and his personality shone through.
We would like to see more vegetarian and vegan items. Your burger evening should also have a vegetarian option. As our society is aiming for more inclusiveness on all levels, we hope that you take this extra step to include a more varied menu that pleases all.
Thank you and looking forward to your response.
Food was pretty good. I asked for a medium steak but it came out medium rare which I can kind of understand cause I did get the 35 ounce so harder to cook properly because of the thickness. The entree I got was flatbread with garlic and stuff but honestly not worth th 15 bucks cause I have had way better at east side Mario's. The service was perfect I couldn't ask for better. For the 2 of us to eat there cost 150 bucks. Dessert is 12 bucks so if you are looking for something fancy this is the place to go but be prepared to drop some serious coin on food.
Apps and Mains were amazing. Dessert not good at all and over priced. Drinks overpriced but quality. Coffee was burnt.
A restaurant at this price point should be on point with everything, not hit and miss.
Not eager to return, may try it one more time.
This was one of the worst dining experiences in recent memory. The service was very slow, the wait staff had no clue who had ordered what and the food was under whelming. The $14 Cesar salad was in a very small bowl, over dressed and tasted like it was made the day before. The $49 ribeye steak was maybe 3/8" thick and there is no way it was 14 oz. Very disappointed and will not be returning.
Went here for Valentine's day. Was told there would be an additional special menu, there was but it had only 1 app and 1 entree option which was a bit disappointing especially since the app was $35 and special entree was almost $90. I also special requested a booth from when I made the reservations over 3 months beforehand and it was not honoured even though there were booths available (I noticed this on the way to the restroom).
The table we were sat at felt awkward. We were in the middle of 2 other tables and what felt like in the middle of an aisle. We watched 3 other guests come in and try to be sat near us and asked to move because of how terrible the set up was. We didn't want to be a bother but I guess we could've. Not sure why better areas weren't sat first if they were available?
Service was good however entrees came before appetizer was finished and drinks took a long time to receive. Entrees were ok. My husband had a tenderloin and it was really good. I ordered the burger but didn't realize it would come still pink in the centre, which would have been fine except being pregnant, it would of been wise to have been told how its prepared so I could've requested a well done burger or chosen something different. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat it which was really upsetting. Yes, I could've sent it back but knowing how busy the restaurant was, I did not want my husband's food to get cold while waiting for mine to be remade and it made me loose my appetite all together anyways biting into what looked like undercooked meat. (It wasn't "under" just not appetizing to this pregnant woman.)
We would go again but not on Valentine's day when it's too busy to be up to the standard we thought it would be. Will defintely try again another time though.
We had requested a table beside a window overlooking the beautiful Grand River, the charming apron dam and the churning mill race. Our request was granted and we were pleased and excited. It was Valentine's Day and this was to be a special treat for each other. Imagine our disappointment when a server closed the drapes on the window with the result that we could not have a full view of the river. The drapes were eventually opened after sunset (which we were unable to see) and darkness began to fall.
The service and ambiance are great. Food was good with nothing substantial to complain about but it wasn't amazing. I didn't come away thinking I have to tell people to go but neither would I dissuade anyone.
The service was superb and the food was excellent. Would recommend highly.
A window table is a very nice way to enjoy the ambience.
Beautiful building with great view of the river. Great service and great food. The only thing I would change was the music. Would prefer more subtle, softer music especially for a romantic evening or a celebration of a special occasion.
I alway enjoy the food at the mill and the view was beautiful. I have a lot of allergies and the staff can alway accommodate my needs. I did slip on some ice and fell in the parking lot on my way in. There seemed to be no salt down.
