This restaurant has a fantastic setting with good food and excellent waiting staff. Fairly pricey, but we really enjoyed our meal and cocktails. There is enough choice to keep the cost down if you are on a budget, but scope to 'push the boat out' as well!
I had heard a lot about the Cambridge Mill. I had the opportunity of visiting the Mill with a client that I was working with in Cambridge. The venue was beautiful, the view of the Grand River spectacular. Most of all the attentive staff and service was a refreshing change and a pleasure. I would highly recommend the Cambridge Mill. Thank you for the great experience.
It was a fantastic meal. Wish they had pricing for those who can only eat one plateful from the buffet. NO A LA CARTE for Sunday brunch.
had great service and food was delicious(other than the very tough lamb).
We were there to celebrate my daughter's birthday and had a great dining experience! We haven't been there for a couple years for brunch and the food was better than the last time we were there. The only complaint I have is that I was very disappointed by the crab ... the pieces were very tiny and clearly previously frozen, as it was waterlogged and tasteless. The Eggs Benedict were excellent, especially for a buffet. The bread pudding was the best I've ever had! The service and our server were the best. Can't wait to go back! My 6 year old grandson wants to go back for his birthday!
Great first time experience. Waterfront view was relaxing and service was professional and attentive. They launched a new menu when we were there and everything was very good. Food arrived hot and in a timely fashion. It's a bit of a splurge to go here as this is a finer eating experience but everything was well worth it. Very much an adult eating area.
Fantastic. Great food and service
Awesome location and view. Only not happy observation is; I indicated bday when I made reservation for 6:30 and could not secure a window seat. To still have some view we sat in booth that was nearly to small for 4 people.
Service has been fantastic the last two time we've been. Sunday brunch is totally worth it. Did the price per person go up two dollars?
Everything was fantastic as usual. Craft Cut Burger is one of the best burger within 50kms. Can’t beat the ambience and service!
It was our first time there, we got the perfect seat overlooking the flowing water. Michael, our server provided excellent service. It is a beautiful place, beautiful spot. We would have preferred the background music to be off as it would have been easier to connect with each other and listen to the sounds of the water, but it did not deter too much from the overall quality of the experience.
Upon arriving I was warmly greeted, looked after my coat, seated me at a great view. The server was attentive and extremely polite. I felt well served! The food was nicely prepared and served - the coffee was great.
Everything was perfect from service to food. The Monday night Steak and Wine special is a real steal. Nice date night escape option for some.
Very good - we unexpectedly got a room.
I am very pleased at the location and the service.
Our server was great! The food was okay this time. I’ve been several times and it’s always been good. I like the oysters but this time I think I got a bad one.
I loved pretty much everything. The only thing I 'm disappointed in is that we did not get a window table. I also was not aware that window tables existed in the solarium. These would have been wonderful. All I requested on my reservation was a window spot. We are not from the area and we would have been over the moon had this request been accommodated. Otherwise, everything was great. Oh, and we loved the music.
Our experience was delightful, service was incredible and the food was amazing worth the price will highly recommend to all my friends and family
Easter Sunday great way to celebrate the day!!!
The food was very good. Some of the hot food was not as hot as I would like it. The bottomless Caesars were good but pretty light on the alcohol. The server seemed rushed. Perhaps more staff would have spread out the workload during rush.
Overall a good experience.
Overall good food and great service. The wine list is lacking in lower to middle cost options, and could use some depth in that sense. The names of some menu items are also misleading, eg the flatbread is not a flatbread. It's more like strips of pizza dough (although still good), and the maracapone cheesecake is more like a dollop of marscapone pudding, definitely not a cake.
The setting was great, as was the service. The food was hit and miss. Four for dinner and two had great apps and entrees, while two had awful apps and entrees. The latter were especially terrible: either undercooked or overcooked (burnt). Based on this percentage, and given the price, would not go again...nor recommend it to anyone!
We were celebrating the birthday of our soon-to-be daughter-in-law; I had requested a table for lunch overlooking the water and the table far exceeded our expectations. The waiter was fantastic - attentive and tactfully helpful with food selections that would not aggravate our food allergies. A beautiful desert was brought to celebrate the occasion with "Happy Birthday" written on the plate. The view, ambience, food, drinks and service all contributed to our having a very memorable time and look forward to when we can attend again.
I was very disappointed in the overall experience of this visit. I had chicken wings which were 16.00 for six wings a plate of fries were 8.00, which were not good at all. The price is quite ridiculously high They were not worth it. Our server David was very rude. We had to ask the manager to check us out, since David, kept on ignoring us. So I feel very ripped off. Paying that price I expect a bit more.
The burgers are always delicious.....well done and flavourful. Of course the view is beautiful! The service was excellent as well!
We have never had a less than delightful experience at Cambridge Mill. To receive complementary Champaign when we celebrated our anniversary there was just the ‘icing on the cake’! My wife has food allergies and is wonderful to be able to eat someplace feeling confident that we can enjoy a wonderful meal and not worry about contamination.
Nice views, good food, one of my favourite places to go in Cambridge.
Our experience was excellent. I forgot how beautiful it is and we were seated right above the river. It was so pretty watching the sun begin to set. We were also pleasantly surprised by the Saturday evening live music. Had we not be already planning to go to a show at the theatre we definitely would have stuck around.
My friend and I had a great meal at the Mill. We were celebrating Fry-Day so of course we had the burger and fries. As always the burger was very good and the fries definitely hit the mark. Definitely not your run -of -the- mill :) fries.
Food good, not great
Overall a very nice restaurant with gorgeous views of water. However, after 3 visits the food was mediocre at best. Definitely not fine dining qulity or even a close to it. The prices were too high for what the food was.
Very Enjoyable experience. We were a party of ten, for Sunday Brunch. Food was excellent, service to match. Everyone in our group had only good thin gs to say about the Food, ambiance and the view. Service was very good.
The food was excellent and the staff was very attentive and friendly. Best seafood pasta I've had in a long while! Would recommend for any special occasion. The venue also has very gorgeous views!
Tuna melt was a little cold when I received it, other than that it was very good!.
I went to the Mill on Thursday night on a date and was looking forward to experiencing "buck a shuck". I was sincerely disappointed to find out that it was only being served at the bar (which I wasn't able to go to because of my age) and was told I would have to pay full price for the oysters instead. I found it was a misleading promotion because there's no warning that you have to be a certain age to participate in "buck a shuck".
Beautiful setting. Comfortable seating. Delicious food. Will go back again.
We totally enjoyed our lunch. The salads were very good, and we were able to relax and talk.
Thank you. We will come again!
The view and food are both incredible. All the food portions very good. We had the chicken and waffles and the duck pizza. Next time we’re going to try the burgers.
It was great and the buffalo cauliflower was delicious!
had to ask about the bread basket after the meal was served
Everything about our experience with The Mill was 'first class'. We were seated just where we asked to be, with a view of the river . An added bonus was being placed near the large, cheerful fireplace. That placement and the almost subliminal but appropriate music made for a very welcoming and warm ambiance. We ordered the 'Monday Special' and it, like everything else that was put on that table, was just as we ordered , elegantly presented and just to our taste. The wine that Paul suggested suited the meal very nicely too as did the light but very nice desserts . A good sever can make even a 'truck-stop meal' a treat. The servers we had really knew their business. They were quick and polite, witty but not familiar and helpful without being obtrusive. The bill was less than expected. At other venues we've often paid much more and enjoyed the fare much less. We will be spending our upcoming anniversary celebration at The Mill
We stopped in on our way to Langdon Hall for lunch and were pleasantly surprised to have such a great view of the water alongside a delicious bite to eat. Staff was friendly and attentive and the menu offered lots of choice. We were very pleased with our meals and the experience overall!
