Over all good experience we did book. Reservation For 730 and weren’t seated until 8 which was a bit disappointing
Perfect date night! Delicious food and amazing atmosphere.
Check in was easy and we were advised that we had our table for 1 1/2 hours. Very empty because of COVID protocols. Sat down at our table promptly and the four of us given menus. Waiter came by after about 10 minutes and took the drinks order. Drinks took another 10 minutes to arrive. We gave our meal choices at that time. After 45 minutes I inquired where the food was. Told he would check. Another 10 minutes passed before I called the manager over and he too went to check. Our waiter confessed he had “messed up” and would get the food out ASAP. Food finally arrived after another 10 minutes. Manager came back to apologize. Food itself was outstanding but the wait was unacceptable. After paying the bill, the manager appeared with 2 complimentary desserts. All in all, I would return if only for the ambiance of the Cambridge Mill itself and for the exceptional food. Considering the cost level of dining at this restaurant, there needs to be higher standards implemented for the wait staff.
My Wife and I celebrated our 36th Wedding Anniversary last night. Brad was excellent, as always. Our favorite spot.
We celebrated my husband’s birthday with a magnificent sunset view and dinner at Cambridge Mill. The food and ambiance was perfection! Thank you to all the staff. We had a memorable evening because of the beautiful view over the river, the delicious food and drink, and overall service and setting!
We went for dinner and there was not a single option for vegetarian. I would definitely like to go back if I would have vegetarian options. Please have options in burgers and pasta with vegetarian options.
Great service! Just a lot of flies and bugs inside due to the open patio (not their fault). The vegan scallops I had heard were amazing, it was not my experience personally and wish there were more meat-free options!
There are aspects and characteristics as you would assume why you would go there. But new feelings are given too you once you dine there. You will feel embraced by staff. Overcome with emotion by the food, and at ease in the atmosphere.
Birthday brunch on your gorgeous patio. Food and drinks were phenomenal. Always a pleasure!
Outside seating was in fact undercover in what is normally closed in but with all sliding doors open. This created an outdoor feeling with breeze but without direct sun. Very good and overlooking the river. Brunch selection was limited but very good dishes. Service was prompt and courteous. Cost reflected the above comments, i.e. more expensive.
Great food, great service, amazing location and view.
Our server was fantastic definitely made the experience well worth it! The view was great, food was fast and absolutely delicious! The Buffalo cauliflower was sooo good ! Our steaks were cooked perfectly!! Definitely will return again!!
Food was good and our server was awesome. Just found rtf prices for the food and liquor/wine to Beverly expensive Lunch is more my price bracket
Our food was great, portions are on the smaller end for your dollars worth. The setting is very nice and quiet, beautiful lake view. Staff at main desk were friendly however we came in from the ramp and didn’t see the main desk at first so we stood by the waiters desk station and were not acknowledged by anyone at all. The waiters were presently in the dining room serving guests but did not direct us to the other side, which we ended up noticing on our own eventually.
My wife streak was under cooked and the scallops where under cooked
The menu needs to have more choices
Mussels take good. Good portion as a meal rather than a starter. Beef tartar is way too sour and therefore, cannot taste the beef. Pasta portion is very small.
Food was very good, ambience was great,so was the service!
Food and service was great. staff always follows up if there is anything amiss.
The Mill never fails.
Every time we go (once/twice a year) we come away raving about the service and the food (presentation and enjoyment).
The music is way too loud - especially if it is not to your taste (terrible vocal artists - better choice would be just instrumental - why not try classical?)
The hostess is not very accommodating in seating.
The waitress tried and did her best considering short staffing
and FINALLY congrats to all the non serving staff to jump in to help out when your business far exceeded your expected volume of patrons.
Great team effort indeed.
We will be back when we are in the area.
ps.: ducks and heron provided great entertainment.
My girlfriend and I had a great time on our date for dinner to the mill last night, would recommend to anyone wanting a great meal in a beautiful restaurant.
Went to the Mill for an anniversary dinner and we had a great time.
had a later dinner reservation and they were sold out of a few options.
Very nice to get back in the restaurant. The protocol and setting makes us very comfortable. Food is delicious as usual, service is excellent!
My partner and I came to celebrate a birthday and had a very lovely time. The service and food were both excellent, as were the cocktails. There was a cross-breeze in the open dining area that kept the room cool but still pleasant. Overall, a very delightful experience.
The food did not live up to expectation. My food was not warm and the flavour was very bland. A little disappointed, if I am honest. However service was great, the waitress was very friendly.
Fabulous indoor/outdoor space overlooking the Grand River!
Beautiful weather, wonderful view, tasty food, great service
The only disappointment was the very limited menu. Hope they get a more complete menu. We will wait until then.
Cambridge Mill is one of the best restaurants that I've been to. The food is simply amazing, in terms of taste, quality and temperature. We loved our appetizers and mains. They should only add a few more choices for dessert, but that's ok for us since we don't have sweet teeth anyway :)
service was just ok. appetizers were somewhat good. Main for $135 32oz t-bone quality not good. waitress didn't know what to recomend. Desert for a nice place like this I get 2 flat marshmellow with some chocolate flakes on it a joke. and after the bill is over $300 for 2 people It's not the $8 but to get charged for bread is ridiculous. Have been to your brunch before and that is the only thing I would recommend.
Hi Tony, Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry that you were unhappy with your meal. I am disappointed to read that you didn't enjoy our 45-day dry-aged, locally sourced t-bone - it is one of our most popular features or our s'mores dessert with house-made marshmallow and chocolate ganache. As we continue to reopen our business feedback is incredibly important and we strive to continue to do better. Alex Kastner General Manager email@example.com
We booked the reservation for my husbands birthday and although the food was great we were at this tiny table in the corner - really not to ambience we had in mind for the price/occasion.
Great experience at Cambridge Mill, server was accommodating, and friendly. Prices are a little on the higher side, but mainly due to the high stand of menu items on offer/scallops/oysters/lobster etc. Food was very lovely, and it is the location that makes it that little extra special! Kids menu quite limited, Cocktails amazing - Lemon Meringue Sangria is SPECIAL!! Look forward to next time.
The salads are great. We had the beet salad and the ETT The view is fantastic. The staff is friendly and attentive
really cute for a date, food was alright, nothing wow, but great selection of drinks, and amazing settings.
Sara our server was great I order something I wasn’t familiar with and didn’t like it which was totally my fault and she took it off the bill which was over and above!!!
Clearly the best restaurant in Cambridge. The food quality is outstanding. The service is professional and qualified.
Amazing food, service and atmosphere! We love it here!
Evening was an excellent meal, service, and especially the outdoor patio location overlooking the falls. Server was especially good. Felt bad afterwards when I noticed the gratuity was less than I had intended due to a typo.
Only disappointment we had was in booking the reservation. An email announced the two steaks / wine special and the link took me directly into booking the reservation. Server explained it was only good on Mondays (vs. the Tuesday reservation). Checked back and the email announcement does not state this anywhere before taking you to the reservation link.
