Sunday Brunch: 9:30am - 2:30pm
Sunday Dinner 5:00pm-9:00pm
We made reservations for lunch as we wanted to show our parents our wedding venue. Our server Kate was absolutely amazing! She was friendly, polite, attentive and you could really tell she enjoys her job. She was able to give us detailed descriptions of the menu and even a brief history lesson on the Mill. Needless to say our parents were blown away by the service and were very impressed with our decision. We cannot wait to tie the knot their next year. Highly recommend if you enjoy quality service with a smile.
Also, the view is beautiful!
The quality of the food does not match the ambience (the latter being excellent). I have no objection to paying for a $19 glass of wine, but the wine was not at all exceptional (nor was their wine list). The same goes for a $25 plus entree - no qualms about the cost but it was just not as good as what I'd had before at other high-end restaurants with the same entree price range (ie, Revival House in Stratford). The wine list and menu needs a make-over and could certainly have more vegetarian options.
Cambridge is a beautiful scenic town and the Mill an impressive dining experience...Both are easily accessible from Hamilton, Toronto, Kitchener. The Mill is conveniently located close to theater, boutiques and other interesting sites. It is my favorite place and restaurant to take guests from out of town, province or country.
Besides being atmospheric The Mill is consistent in delivering a diverse menu of high quality cuisine. Their salads are remarkable The best I have had in any restaurant. The portions are just right and each item on the menu richly satisfying . The service is top notch. It is always comfortable and impeccable.
Service was fantastic and we were seated in a great location for a date. A tea we ordered was forgotten, but it was a very minor detail and didn't impact our experience at all.
The deck room was uncomfortably warm and a bug fell into my glass of wine. The waiter took my 3/4 full glass of wine and never returned with anything. Bad experience overall.
Had a great time and a fabulous experience! It was our first time and definitely won't be our last. A terrific location, good food and an accomadating wait staff made the evening really enjoyable! Thank you for everything and we will hopefully see you again soon!
Fantastic view of the water while we enjoyed our brunch. Highly recommended!
Due to the hot weather on the day I went, the restaurant should've turned the AC higher as it was really uncomfortable to eat while sweating the whole time. The food quality has also declined (ie. crab legs are way smaller now, no vodka for the oysters, etc) since last year. I do love coming to Cambridge Mill once a year on Father's Day as my dad loves eating there and is worth the 1.5 hr drive each way.. but even he said this year was a let down with the heat and the food quality. Hopefully next year will be better!
We were unexpectedly seated upstairs, the staff said the food selection was the same for brunch, but it was minimal compared to the downstairs options. It took 30+ minutes to receive a chocolate milk, and decaf coffee. We did not receive the highchair we had asked for when making the reservation, and confirming the reservation over the phone, and asked for at the point we got to the table - it arrived midway through our meal. It also took about 20 minutes to get our bill. I would not recommend returning on a high traffic day (such as Fathers Day), however we will likely return to the mill on a regular Sunday.
Amazing brunch as always
The food and environment was lovely. We did request a window table a couple of months in advance and were seated away from there so we weren't too thrilled with that, however the rest of the experience was great. The champagne was a nice touch since we were celebrating our anniversary.
Service a little slow, food was great. Pricey for an "every day" night out.
There was construction going on around the front of the restaurant, so it was a little confusing to get in, but the restaurant was beautiful. We had a nice table with a view of the Grand River. Service was excellent - very professional and attentive. The bathroom was beautiful as well, and clean. I had the grilled chicken and mushroom risotto. The chicken was a bit underdone, but I got a new dish and it was fine. The risotto was delicious. Others in my party had the ploughman's platter and the mac and cheese. All were great.
Extra efforts were made to compensate for the outdoor construction at the front door of the restaurant.
Servers were extremely friendly and attentive.
Offering a "birthday dessert" for my friend was greatly appreciated.
We enjoyed our luncheon experience. The view, food and service were impeccable.
Wonderful food in stunning surroundings. The building is outstanding with it’s mix of modern and rustic. The views are lovely. The food is delicious, with something for everyone. Find your old favourites alongside new and unique treats. The service is spot on.
We had visited this restaurant previously for Sunday brunch with friends and were very impressed. This time we had lunch with 2 australian friends before delivering them to Pearson international for their homeward journey. Had the best view being entertained by a beautiful blue heron, ducks, ducklings, blackbirds and more. Food was very nice. Priced reasonably. Wait staff good value. Only complaint was a screaming toddler. Not something the restaurant staff have any control over. Thanks for providing us with a very pleasant farewell lunch.
Ambiance inside was great, although getting in wasn't good on account of construction. Quality of food was outstanding and the service was fine. Made for a special lunch on our wedding anniversary.
My wife and I go often. Our favourite place. We also were married at the Mill.
Our guests were thrilled with the food and wonderful service. The Best in Cambridge....
Our dinner reservation was set for 7:00pm. We arrived shortly after 7:10 and were told that they were getting our table ready and to have a drink in the bar. It was only about a 5 minute wait at the very most to be seated.
My girlfriend and I ordered 2 apps to share. It turned out we really only needed the one and even then we boxed up the flatbread to go. The portions of the Calamari and the Flatbread were much more than what we both expected.
My girlfriend ordered the Seafood linguine and I had a 10oz strip. The pasta was good however we both thought there was too much oil at the bottom of the bowl. The take out container was extremely soggy by the time we got home. The portion for the pasta was quite large too.
My steak was cooked perfectly and the asparagus were cooked just the way I like them. However, I wasn't impressed with the side plate for my mashed potatoes. I feel like everything should be on one plate instead of having a "family" style mashed potato, it felt like it was an additional side to the meal.
I feel like the prices of the Cambridge Mill dinner menu reflect more of a quantity over quality, I would feel much more obliged to pay a little less to receive a little less. I feel like the portions are way too large for something that reflects a more upscale restaurant.
It was my first time dining at the Mill, I feel like I would come back for Brunch or maybe a bar reservation however a dinner reservation there would not be suitable if I feel like I would be taking home half of our meal in boxes.
It was my daughter's 19th birthday and she loves going to the Mill as much as I do. I wanted to take her somewhere memorable for this birthday to have a special cocktail and a nice meal. The food was delicious, as usual and we had a fun evening with great service from our waiter and a wonderful view of the water falls. You can't beat the Monday night steak and wine deal!
We have been going here since the week it opened many years ago for Sunday Brunch. We have always been a great supporter as we love the ambience however the value is starting to drop. Used to be Sushi, no longer and the manager mentioned something about difficulties with food safety? Don’t get it. Reduction in value.
The early bird brunch time window continues to shrink and is now only 9:30 am which is ten dollars less (43/person) as there is no alcohol until 11 am (law).
Last time we came a couple of months ago the early bird was 9:30 and 9:45. Now with the 9:45 at 53/person there is no alcohol until 11. Reducing value to customers.
Today we noticed the flambé is gone for the crepes so it just seems to get skinnier every time yet the price rises consistently.
The manager blamed it on the inexperienced youngster manning the station however I don’t believe it and either their management needs to do a quality check on each station at the beginning or it is another reduction in value. We will see next time.
Still a beautiful place with top service by long term employees however no so often any more.
Went for Sunday brunch with a friend - absolutely delicious! Great variety of food, everything was well prepared and visually appealing. Excellent service as well. Clearly great care is put into making each person's experience special. Went at the beginning of the first sitting so it was quite quiet and peaceful. Got a bit busier later on but still wasn't problematic at all. Beautiful view over the river as well.
Sent one steak back three times and they couldn’t get it right. They were very gracious about the kitchens challenges and removed it from the bill BUT we were all done and my wife ate alone. Not the first time this has happen Ed there. I just won’t risk special occasions at this restaurant again. Server was fantastic but visibly frustrated with the kitchen performance.
My partner really was surprised that you had gluten free bread. She is gluten free and vegetarian, so she found some options a bit lacking but the bread definitely made her happy.
Excellent lunch! Celebrating a birthday with a friend and the waiter surprised us with a fancy dessert that was light and delicious!!
Great venue, service and food.
Had lunch here with the wife. location, service and ambiance is great. food was a bit salty but over all we still enjoyed it.
Everything about our dinner Sunday evening was top-notch! Eva was friendly and welcoming, and her timing was impeccable - from the first drink to dessert she provided everything we needed at exactly the right time. Checking that our steak was to our liking (it was the perfect temp) and chatting about the sunset, as well as providing us with a glass of champagne for our celebration, were extra touches that made us definitely want to return. The covered patio had a lovely breeze on a warm evening, and food was superb, especially the mussels. We highly recommend the Cambridge Mill for a special evening.
Not what it used to be! What a shame!
I had a reservation for 730pm and did not get seated until 8pm. This was disappointing
beautiful setting and fabulous food the view of the river is wonderful
We received a warm welcome and they accommodating our seating request. Great service and food!
Absolutely incredible! We were fortunate enough to have a seat with an unforgettable view of the river. The special was unique and the best seafood dish of my life and the menu was not overly priced for the experience! Highly recommend!
Both my wife and I love the atmosphere, sitting by the windows overlooking the river, the food is fantastic.
Overall, when I want a nice romantic evening, this is the destination.
Everything was top notch. The waiter and chef were very accommodating of my lactose intolerance. The food was presented nicely and tasted great too! The service was just the right amount of attentiveness. Thanks!
Wonderful views, excellent service and above average food... although the chef does have a preference for over salting his dishes.
Amazing food and service was impeccable as always!!
Amazing selection of food and drinks for our Sunday Brunch! We had a very friendly waitress and enjoyed our relaxing meal over looking the water!❤ We will do this again.
Great experience celebrating birthday. My daughter is vegan and the staff were very accommodating.
Our server was Kate and she was very attentive. All in all a great birthday celebration at Cambridge Mill.
