My son and I went for Sunday brunch on Mother's Day and had a very enjoyable meal. The food was excellent and the prices were really reasonable. And it wasn't crowded on Mother's Day. They even gave us a free chocolate crepe dessert and a small glass of champagne in honor of Mother's Day which was a nice touch! Very casual decor which was fine for us.
Good service, tasty burger and salad, great beer. What's not to like?
Great place for pre-movie dinner. We were a bit early, around 5:30pm, and had very fast service. The beers were super and we enjoyed the Brewmaster Burger. It's not overly large, but a good portion with generous side. The salad, Fennel & Shaved Apple was expensive for what we got, however. It seemed skimpy on the plate, appearing that we didn't get a full share. It was just about splittable, but kind of small.
We always love going to CBC for the beer and food and good times
Great beer, decent food, fair service. We had a lovely time with friends!
Been going to the brewery for over 9 years. I feel the quality of food has gone down over this time. Most recently (Saturday 20th), I went to the brewery with 2 of my friends. Hamburgers were overcooked, french fries were cold, nachos were soggy, and calamari was over salted and rubbery. Got to say, I'm not planning on coming back anytime soon.
Go for beer at the bar if you visit at all. The table service is non-existent and food is mediocre at best. We went there because it was one of the few places that could accommodate a large (12) group on a Friday night. That's the best thing going for the place.
Beers we're amazing and the food came out fast, hot, and so good.
Waiter abandoned us at times. Burger over cooked. Fries cold. Maybe food sat for a long time after being ready.
Great beers. Cozy seating. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was generous in portions and tasty. Patio would be appealing with heaters at night.
Was a little annoyed at their policy that they don't give separate checks for parties of 6 or more. They "made an exception" but if they were going to make an exception why make us feel bad about it, or at least why not tell us immediately before we ordered when we'd first mentioned it?
The place is dog-friendly and had outdoor seating. Great brunch menu!
Waitress seemed genuinely perturbed to be waiting on us. She took the order for half of our party before just...leaving...
I was there for Sour fest (again) and it was the best one yet.
Loved having my baby shower here. Everyone had a great time!
Good solid place for a burger and beer.
The salads and the beer were great. the appetizers were not good.
Good place to get a drink when you’re in Cambridge. Great beer and decent food.
Reasonably priced, well-prepared pub fare provided with extremely attentive service. The beer was also quite tasty.
Great beer, obviously. This place was super packed when we went for a date night, definitely glad we made reservations. It's good to note that this place is large-group friendly and kid-friendly. Wouldn't say that I'm running back, but I would go again more for the bar scene than a sit-down meal, the portions were a bit on the smaller side (sorry no pictures available).
Great service with really great food as always
Table for 8, 4 Dads and 4 Kids, was ready & waiting for us on a busy night. Kids loved the pizza, Dads loved the brews. Service was great & food arrived quickly so we were not late for our event. Cheers to CBC!
Beer was fine. Food did not meet my expectations and service was appalling -- the waiter spilled and entire beer on our table and didn't clean it up until I asked him if he had a rag so I could do it myself (just one of many examples to share). Convenient location and fun atmosphere but will not be going back.
We had a group of 9 people from our start-up in Cambridge. We were not loud, we were not obnoxious, but yet the waiter seemed to be very unhappy serving us. The only positive detail we managed to get out of it was that he seemed unhappy serving every table, not just ours. We were also asked to get up from our seats and go to the bar because someone was waiting for our table. The food is okay here, nothing to write home about, but I don't think anyone in our party didn't like their meal. The beer is pretty good and I think the real draw of this place. Maybe we got the servers on a bad day, but it was Friday night and probably a bad night to be rude to guests as there were lots of them. The thing that was the most frustrating for me was that because we were a party of more than 8, the tip was built in at 18% so there was no way to voice my displeasure about our service other than this review. For sure, the next time we go out as a company this place will not be on my list, unless it's to go to the bar for drinks.
This location is about 10-15 minute walk from Kendal/MIT stop, which is not bad, if taking the T. The beer selection was great, the servers were knowledgeable of their menu which made easier to decide. The food was very delicious.
My family and I went to CBC for brunch to celebrate my husband’s birthday. It is a bit of a drive for us coming from outside the Cambridge area but the food never disappoints. Our server was friendly and my food was perfectly cooked and delicious. It is a great place for a hearty and filling brunch.
It was my first time visiting Cambridge Brewing Company. We were seated right away on a busy Friday night even though the restaurant was nerly full. The food and service were spectacular! We both enjoyed our meals. They arrived fast and hot but we did not feel rushed by the waitstaff at all. The only thing i wasnt pleased with was the fact that the tables were extremely close together and we listened to a lot of spirited political debate from the table adjacent to us.
Staff was especially accommodating in advance of our large party of (22) people - rowers & families in town for HOCR. Great food - enough variety to please everyone. Only challenge was not being able to have check separated by family, but were able to resolve.
Was here for a business meal, we were seated directly in the sun on a rare hot October day. I'd not go out of my way it was just where we landed. Its fine, if your looking for special move on.
We were a table for 12 (big) and it was a company luncheon for an employee who was leaving us and we had to return to work. Service was rather slow even though it was 12 of us. Orders were not taken until almost 35 minutes there. All and all it was a full 2.5 hour lunch. Understandable for dinner - but I felt it was too long for lunch.
Also we were at the very back and it seemed like we were forgotten about and couldn't get our waiters attention which is why orders took a long time.
We had the fried calamari appetizer - the quality was good, but the portion was quite small. For the fish and chips, the fish was OK, but again a relatively small serving, placed on top of a big pile of overcooked, soggy fries. Yuck. The waitress was not unfriendly, but was remarkably inattentive and disengaged. Maybe she had better things to do. Atmosphere is pretty dingy. The place could use a major cleaning and renovation.
Our reservation was for 9pm. We arrived at 9:10 and our was not ready. The service was glacial. Even when we were finally able to order it took forever to arrive. The pasta dishes and burgers were very nice. The black bean chili, however, was basically a can of beans from Trader Joe's. Ridiculous. The noise (music?) level was impossible. We asked if the music could be turned down a little. They said yes and did absolutely nithing. Don't bother with this place. There are much better choices in Kendall Square.
I have been to CBC on several different occasions. For this one, my friend and I had a casual dinner. I, as a smaller person, was happy with the size of the burger. However, for those looking for the 1/2 lb size it is a bit smaller than that. This place is great for dinner and brunch. I always look forward to going.
Cambridge Brewing Company is great location to consume locally brewed beers while dining on tasty lunch or dinner options.
The best place for a variety of beer if you are a brewing company fan!
The service was mediocre, the portions were small, and the place was REALLY loud. Even though beers were on tap, I could not order a smaller glass - only a pint. Too bad. I had liked this place much more in the past.
This was the worst place and would never recommend. The food is so awful and gross and the service was so slow.
Took more than an hour to receive our meal. can't use them as an hour lunch spot.
The beer is the initial draw. Staff and food options never fail us. It's our go-to place when we just to be "out." The patio is dog and kid friendly.
Went on a Saturday night. Sat outside. It wasn't that busy but still 20 minutes went by and no one came to our table. We tried to flag down waiters nearby who didn't seem to notice. We left.
