I always have lunch at Cal's when I have a business meeting or even with friends- close proximity, terrific food and terrific service

But this time it was absolutely freezing - didn't know if their furnace was broken but everyone seemed to have their coats on.

The food and service here have always been great, but I would like to see them update or refresh the dining area a bit. The color scheme doesn't look great and the dining area seems kind of boring and could use some modernizing.

The menu is extensive and surprisingly well executed. The service is professional. On a very busy Friday night, it seemed every table was full, they were at the top of their game. My impression is that they give excellent value. While I wouldn't call their product gourmet, the kitchen is very competent. Better than a chain restaurant although not as distinctive as a stand-alone.

We went to Cal's for my Mom's birthday. We had a very big group and the waitress was able to service our table very efficiently. The food was delicious and it didn't take forever. I would go back again when I am in the are.

We had Scallops, Baked Stuff Shrimp and the Red Fish Entree for dinner which was very good as usual. The salad was exceptional with the ranch dressing. The seating was very comfortable and accessible for my 87yo Mom. The desserts were tasty and the waitress went out of her way to make our day enjoyable.

I am a regular diner at Cal's. I frequently dine there with my sister, my husband, and my family. Most times we sit in the bar area which we love. Great attention by fantastic bartenders, Josh and MIchelle. They know how to mix up a martini and always use a CHILLY glass. The food is always consistent so we know what to order. Love the atmosphere, just recently dined at your sister restaurant in South Windsor on a Friday night (late) after shopping and that was a 10 too !!! Keep doing what you do at Cal's. The one thing I would like to point out would be to update your ladies rooms as they could use some freshening up.

I have dined here several times and will continue as the food and level of service is consistent. Food presentation is very appealing to the eye. It is always fresh, hot and very tasty. Being in the food industry and a cook myself, I enjoy coming here. Risotto Fritti a must :)
