About Calle Ocho
More festive than a piñata stuffed with a mariachi band and twice as stylish, Calle Ocho’s lively crowd is amped up on Mojitos, Caipirinhas, Sangria and Spanish wine or beer and shows no sign of slowing down. Those not willing or able to holler over the salsa music retire to the two small lounge areas to commiserate. The bar area is a prelude to their Nuevo Latino cuisine in the dining room that will knock your taste buds for a loop. If you’re in need of a quick jump-start, Calle Ocho will get your motor running.

Calle Ocho Ratings and Reviews
Calle ocho has been our go to spot to celebrate our anniversary each year. We recently went back for our 8 year anniversary after not coming last year and it was like we never left. When i made the reservation I noted that it was our anniversary and they greeted us with champagne. That attention to detail is amazing =) They added some new items to the menu which we of course tried and it was out this world good! Thank you for treating us so good and I am looking forward to continuing the tradition.
We love this place, although last Sunday’s brunch was somewhat disappointing. So noisy, more then usual, absolutely packed with hotel guests and visitors, plus staff was overworked, indifferent and with facial expression of ‘God, I hate my job!’ Brunch menu was $29 including sangria ‘all you can drink’, but food was not up the standards of Calle Ocho I know-should have just picked off the regular menu, but they get you with sangrias mixed with cheap table wine...oh, well-I did have fun, though, not much food at all, but slept for rest of the day from those boozy sangrias!!
The noise level was outrageous and there was thumping music to top it off. Would not go back for that reason.
Service was pleasant when we had it. They were sadly understaffed on Saturday night and there were a couple of mistakes with drinks order. Coffee did not come until it was pointed out that it had been ordered.
The food was ok but could not be enjoyed in the hectic noisy restaurant.
The moment you enter Calle Oche the energy and vibe is upbeat and happy. Cocktails were amazing as was the food and the service. I can recommend this restaurant for a special night out or just a dinner with friends. Paella was one of the best I have ever had.
I took my mom here for her birthday, everything went well down to the food even down to the birthday desert I pre ordered that cake with a candle and a happy birthday written in chocolate. I would so recommend this place especially because it was my second time their.
Warm atmosphere with a nice variety of entrees and drinks. This was a great choice for a big family get-together. Service was attentive, but never intrusive. Food is tasty and colorful. We felt very welcome, and the service was well-timed throughout the entire meal.
This was a great location on Wednesday before Thanksgiving to see the balloons and have a bite to eat. Don’t think I would go back. Food was good but the appetizer we ordered came out with dinner and the famed lobster mashed potatoes were cold. Server was nice and helpful in recommending cocktails and dinner. No specials was disappointing.
After a long day at the Museum of Natural History it was a short walk away, delicious Latin cuisine, nice ambiance and great for celebrating my boyfriends birthday. I mentioned at the door that it was his birthday and although I forgot to remind waiter - staff presented him with a dessert with candle and sang happy birthday at no extra cost. Very nice evening :)
Great food/service/ambiance. The food quality is phenomenal and the crowd was very chill. The hostess made sure that we got the exact table we requested and was very accommodating. Sangria was excellent, bread was amazing and the lobster mashed potatoes were to die for !
Overall I enjoyed the food at Calle Ocho was very tasty ,the music was great and not too loud . The service was good ,the only gripe I have is that we felt rushed. Granted it was a Saturday early evening but we had reservations and were celebrating a birthday. Our check was brought to us without even asking which I found a bit rude . I would go back but probably not for dinner on a weekend.
I went with my best friend to celebrate her birthday! The service was fast and friendly. The complimentary breads were delicious. There are so many different sangria choices and we were switching back and forth between several. At the end of our meal, they surprised her with a small piece of birthday cake and ice cream. We had an amazing time!
I’ve been going to Calle Ocho for brunch for years. Recently they increased their prices significantly. I still kept my reservation, because I’ve always enjoyed my meals there. However, this time the service was terrible. I felt rushed, like an inconvenience. Took us forever to get water and a bread basket. You can’t raise your prices and lower your hospitality. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
I've had dinner at Calle Ocho before, but this was my first brunch. It was delicious and clearly a crowd favorite as they had a full house when we got there. The food was fantastic and the energy in the room was high (prpbably because of the unlimited sangria during brunch!).
