This was my second time dining here. I had one lunch and this time was dinner with friends. I highly recommend! Great food, great atmosphere, great service and the best Mojito I’ve ever had. I’ll be back!
Pork Sliders on fried plantains and oysters to start. Sliders were great, oysters large and sweet. Goat neck and black rice paella were the mains, both delicious. Service was great. We'll be back.
It was our first time coming here and we truly enjoyed. Service and food was amazing nd the music was great. I would definitely recommend it. Can’t wait to come back.
Fantastic!! A little pricey but still amazing. I always recommend it to people
Went for happy hour and had a great time. Food and docks were good and prices were good
Our server Justin was terrific. Kept our orders - and bills - perfectly organized. I would definitely go back soon.
Food was very good and the passion fruit flan was delish! However, pricy for lunch spot but definitely would go back.
Food was outstanding, a very unique menu and creative plates. Definitely recommend.
Our server, Justin, was great — just the right amount of friendly, had good recommendations for food, was there when we needed him but didn’t rush us. We ordered an array of food to share and every single thing was delicious. They didn’t have any no alcoholic drinks on the menu but the bar whipped up a delish virgin mojito for one of our party, while the caphirina another person ordered was nice & strong. The only negative is that it’s so lively that it can get VERY loud. Would definitely go back again.
Have already recommended this place to several friends who work here in the City.
I went on a Sunday morning and it was great. The ambiance is beautiful and cozy which is what i was looking for. Only thing that I didn't love was the noise level as the people arrived. If I was there for a social gathering it would have been perfect. I went for a business lunch and we fond ourselves speaking very loudly in order to continue our conversation. Place isn't suitable for business but defiantly for a fun time!
Great food and service! Weekend happy hour pretty cool too!
Great Happy Hour menu! Lots of options for small and big plates. Servers are on point and friendly. Great ambiance.
The French toast was sub par
Terrible food. Service was fine and atmosphere is ok but we should have known better because the place was empty on a Sat night. Margarita tasted like nothing like a margarita - more like sprite and tequila. Date’s paella was inedible — tasted fishy/smelled like beach garbage.
Do not recommend!
Came for a lunch date. Food came out super fast so I guess all the items are already ready and they just heat them up. The mojitos were delicious!
The young person at the front was a little snippy because we didn’t make a reservation. So I quickly made a reservation online at we were quickly seated. The waitress was fantabulous!! She was so helpful and her food recommendations were spot on. The food was delicious. The tostones, however, was a little under seasoned. But everything else was really really good.
Our waiter - didn’t get his name, unfortunately, is super thoughtful. I was there with my colleague and was shown a table in the back. I was wondering why he did that when there was 2 empty table in the front part of the restaurant. I insisted to be seated in the front - away from the bathroom. After sitting down for awhile, I realized the reason why our water ushered us to the table in the middle/ back part of the restaurant. There was 3 girls sitting in front (by the bar) who’s been drinking since happy hour. One of the girl was super drunk and have a very annoying loud high pitch voice. When I asked the waiter, he told me they have been there since happy hour. I put two and two together, and asked our waiter, is that why you wanted to seat us in the back? Away from this annoying trio? (Actually only one was loud with annoying high pitch voice). His smile answered my question. What a thoughtful person our waiter was. I should have gotten his name and made the management aware of his customer service skills.
It was closed when we arrived! Not sure why they got the res!!
Our waiter Ricky was awesome! Brunch was great and bottomless drinks was fantastic! I will definitely go back!
Excellent vibe, cocktails and food. This gem is one block from the bustle of Bryant Park. Dined here on a Saturday night before an 8:00 Broadway show and the casual crowd turned into a chatty, energetic crowd by 7:30. Appetizers, entrees and desserts all were delicious. Coffee and cappuccinos excellent. Will definitely return.
Delightful atmosphere on a relatively convenient side street to theatres - just a few blocks - fun Cuban Asian food - great lunch special - soup and sandwish - very very cute
Came here for HH with a few friends after work. Made a reservation for 5:30 and got there early so got a drink at the bar, it was pretty empty in the place but let me tell you it gets pretty packed and a res is def needed after 6/6:30. Got a couple happy hour margaritas which were a great price but a bit too sweet for my liking. So I switched to a tequila soda which is also part of their HH (well drinks) and it was much better. We ordered a few apps and an entree and the food was delicious: wings, steamed dumplings, empanadas & yuca fries as well as the beef & broccoli bowl entree which was sufficient enough for 3 people to share. Everyone enjoyed the ambiance, food and their drinks (my two friends got the caipirinha & mojito and they loved them). We stayed for 2 hours and at no point were we rushed to leave. Would definitely come back.
Great fun and great waiter! Enjoyed our food, drinks and atmosphere!
Terrific place. Went there for brunch it's crowded but service was quick and efficient. Food was excellent, highly recommend
I’ve visited the Chelsea location multiple times and love it. Today was my first visit to the Bryant Park location, and it was good but not great. The servers were very friendly but scattered, probably because it was busy, which is understandable, but the staff at the other location has always been on point, and I’ve been there when there was one server for the entire restaurant. The hostess at this location initially said there was no record of a reservation under my name even though one of my friends has already checked in. She implied that I must have gotten the locations confused until my friend reminded her that he had already checked in under my name. We did the bottomless brunch and were satisfied with our drinks, but our server did have to come back a few times and ask us for a reminder of what drinks we wanted. It probably would’ve helped if he wrote them down. The food was decent, but the portions were smaller than the Chelsea location and our server forgot to follow up on an item we had wanted ingredient clarification on. Ultimately it was fine, whereas the Chelsea location is exceptional.
Outstanding service and food. The portions could be a little bigger as that is the trend.
Over all and excellent experience
Our second time at Calle Dao. Loved the food, vibe and service.
Delicious food as always.
My sister recommended me to this place and I’m glad I brought my friends here. The food was delicious!
Food was really good and the service was outstanding.
Great food and server is awesome!!
We love this restaurant! The food took a while to come out and that was very frustrating. But food is delicious and will definitely be going back.
Great place with different delicious food!! Not hard to find. Great energy!
Great great experience in every way! Food and staff. Very good and lots of fun!
We had a great time, the waitstaff was terrific, and the food was OK. The portion size for the price point was very small, but it was good and we enjoyed it. It was very busy, and very load, but they didn’t rush us and we had time to enjoy ourselves.
Food and service good. As with a lot of smaller restaurants in NYC, border line obnoxiously loud and the place was between 1/2 and 3/4 full.
Took my team here for a holiday lunch so we were not there for quiet ambiance. That said, it is a lovely place. Inviting on the inside with great food. We tried a little of everything and I particularly liked the beef and broccoli.
I would definitely recommend
Excellent service and quality of food.
We shared a few of the happy hour bites, dumplings, sliders, wings, & yucca fries. All were decent, nothing to write home about.
