Food was delicious
Shrimp cocktail was mushy defrosted frozen shrimp, so is the crawfish. Steam clam was fresh and juicy. But I have to remind them twice that I ordered the clam: it came out after I was done with my main course
Food was good and fresh. Nice decor. Be prepared to get your hands all in it.
As a Louisiana native, I am always skeptical of "cajun" restaurants so far from home. However, we tried it. Sadly, the etoufee was bland if not bad. The gumbo was okay. The other food selections for the most part were New England style seafood and did not disappoint. However, the word, "cajun" was misleading for someone from Baton Rouge and New Orleans. They should work on the Cajun recipes. Nice place and staff though.
Great food, great service & atmosphere. We took our time and we’re not rushed. 💔
When we arrived the host said our reservation didn't come through but I had an email confirmation from OpenTable. I've worked at restaurants that use OpenTable so she probably just forgot to check it. So they shoved us at this table in the corner of the bar area it was super dark and loud. They ran out of a lot of different dishes so my mom who is vegetarian ate rice and broccoli for dinner. They didn't bring the table out together, the rice and broccoli came out 10m. after the sea food ?? The waiter didn't come back and ask if our food was okay we had to ask the bartender for salt and pepper.
Very good buck a shuck oysters for happy hour. The lobster was great as was the lobster bisque soup.
Visited for the first time with my co-workers from out of town. It was a great way to unwind after a busy day. The food and drinks were great (seafood jambalaya) and the service fantastic.
First time visiting Cajun Sea and it was quite delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the raw oysters, the lobster roll, the cajun fried and the crawfish etouffe.
Food is so-so. The gumbo served was not hot and I have had better.
Food and service was very good, it's just a LOUD place...not the kind of place to go and catch up with a friend.
The dollar oysters for happy hour were too small to want to review. Food was good- not exceptional. Heavily sauced. Why were they rocking loud when they could have presented better as a Cajun music original. Where is K Paul’s? Still had an enjoyable time.
I booked this because it was listed on Opentable as a participant in restaurant week. When we arrived, they said they were not. We chose to stay and continue our meal there. We ordered king crab legs. The order came with two. They were served in a Cajun sauce which was delicious.
Noise levels from music was a bit loud for easy conversation.
As a note, their online menu lists Sazerac as a cocktail, but they could not provide one that night because they ran out some ingredients.
Our waitress turned out to be a sweetheart.
I was disappointed because I spent more than intended or that I planned if it had a restaurant week menu. The average entree price was $45.00. We ordered 2 cocktails, one appetizer, one entree and one dessert and shared it all. Our bill came to $163.00
Good spot near pen station. The boil bags are great but maybe the flavor could be better. The service was not the most attentive. But overall a good place.
Good to share with your partner.
Fresh happy hour oysters
Delicious food, nice service, nothing to complain
This place was definitely bustling at 6:30pm on a Tuesday. Their $1 oyster happy hour was a great deal, and the oysters were fantastic. Lobster roll was a bit small, and the boils/steamed dishes were a bit pricey for the size, but good! Wait staff seemed a bit scattered, but overall a very good meal and would return.
Excellent oysters otherwise the food was remarkably forgettable.
Great food and our server was very attentive. Enjoyed a leisurely delicious meal.
We love Cajun Sea. Their happy hour is one of the best around. It's long, on weekends, includes wine, and include oysters. The seafood is fresh and flavorful. The veggies are also very good. And the service is always friendly and fast, no matter how busy they are.
Service was very bad... purposefully chose this place to get bread pudding and our dessert order was not submitted. I will never go back!
Jambalaya didn't taste like anything, no flavor what's so ever, crab cakes were ok , mussels were pretty good actually, oysters sliders were ok , fresh oysters nice , seafood pasta w butter , lemon juice , garlic n white wine was nice actually not bad, needed a little more flavor, but good.
I walked in and was greeted immediately. The place was very calm and clean. The service was extremely quick and patient with my party of ten people. The bathrooms were kept well clean. The food and appetizers came out faster than expected and it was quite good. Our waitress knew the menu and gave good food recommendations. Loved my overall experience. I will be coming back.
It was nice. When we walked in there wasn’t anyone at the front and the bartender just said to pull up a seat, the host came from the back and sat us at a table. Our waitress was umm well I would’ve preferred another waitress. She didn’t check on us the entire meal, another waitress came and asked if we were ok and at the end of the meal our waitress circled 18% tip on our check. She literally stood by the wall for 45 minutes and just looked around, so I’m not too sure why she needed 18% of the check. I don’t even think she offered water and when I wanted water she had moved from her post on the wall.
Idk the food was good nothing spectacular especially not for the price, I’ve had seafood uptown for a fraction of the cost and it was better.
Would recommend for a first time try just to check it out but I don’t see myself going back for more.
We are definitely coming back. We were with fri ends from out of town.
Our experexpert science was awesome. Our waitress was amazing. She even put our bibs on for us.
The seafood is great and delicious! Service is great and the staff are very helpful and friendly food comes very quickly and it was a perfect meal for any seafood-lovers!
Food is very good, but service is slow, so I advise going when you are not in a rush and have time to spare. Other than that, everything was great!
Great food. Excellent service. Will visit again soon !
This was amazing from beginning to end. Excellent service from our waitress, Stephanie C. She was enthusiastic and gave great recommendations. The bartender made the drinks excellent. The food was AMAZING. we ordered the Cajun wings, gumbo, lobster and shrimp boil, crab and shrimp boil and the ribeye. Very flavorful. We will definitely return.
I love this place. Right in the shadow of the Empire State building. If you like seafood and especially shell fish this is the place to be. They have $1 Oysters for Happy Hour between 5-8pm and you do not need to be seated at the bar or bar area as in many other restaurants. We ordered 2 dozen oysters (Blue Point), 1 lb King Crab legs, 1 lb of steamed clams and 1 lb of the whole shrimp all in a Butter Garlic sauce with potatoes and corn pieces. Requires many napkins and dress casually because it gets messy and is a lot of fun. We went mild but I want to try a little more spicy Cajun next time.
Food was tasty! Crab cakes as an app could have been hotter but were very tasty! Service was weak at best.
It was nice
Bday -Good fresh seafood
The food was fresh and flavorful.
I came all the way from South Jersey for, what I expected, to be a very good crab leg boil. Unfortunately, this was not the case. My corn and potatoes were overcooked and soggy. My husband's 2 lb lobster was overcooked and tough. Although the service was good, I will not be returning.
Had such a fun night at Cajun sea! Stumbled upon this place because it was close to msg for a concert. Had raw seafood and a few drinks! Perfect dinner before billy Joel!
I dont like the food
Incredible cajun spices on plentiful king crab serving. Happy hour oysters at $1 each were an added bonus!
