No complains at all over here. Food was great drinks was great overall a great restaurant.
My wife chose this place, and it was just, meh. We had dinner around 7pm on a Saturday night, the place wasn't overly crowded, but our waitress wasn't very good. We had a very simple order (two lobster rolls), but we wondered if they had gone out to catch the lobster fresh since it took so long. Upon tasting our food, we both remarked that we'd had better lobster rolls, but this was an experience.
The drinks were amazing. Made well and tasty. Food was Amazing. Seasoned well and filling. The staff was attentive and my overall experience was lovely. I'll definitely be back.
The service was great and the staff was very professional and accommodating. I enjoyed my appetizer (crab cakes ) , surf n tuff and my drinks. However my dining partner was no please with his pasta dish. The dish was supposed to be spicy... not. On a positive note, they have great happy hour specials from 5-8pm and you will receive 5% discount on your bill, when you pay with cash.
My boyfriend and I spent New Year’s Eve here is was calming the sever was friendly and the food was good
The oysters we had were flavorless and probably frozen. My partner suffered bad pains for them on the New Year's Eve, which is never a good thing to do.
A bit pricey for the amount of food. The boil was surprisingly very tasty but barely enough for two people. I didn't like the sauce on the lobster roll. The fries were good! The host told us about happy hour but then the waitress told us there was no happy hour. Service was a bit slow.
Went for a late dinner the other night. Had a friendly, attentive waitress. The three of us didn't actually do the "boil" but had Cajun items too (my friends liked the Jumbayala; the etoufee was okay). My friend asked for a stronger martini after they brought the first one and they did. He was happy about that and the bartender came out to chat with my friend. We had bread pudding and beignets for dessert: definitely recommend the beignets.
My only complaint is that they should pay more attention to the bathroom. I had to chase someone down to replace the toilet paper.
Stumbled upon this place during Xmas shopping. Receptionist was so-so. But the server and food was excellent 👌🏽
We came for a different Christmas meal and wasn't disappointed. The food and atmosphere was more than we expected. Will come back next year and recommend it to friends. Thanks for a great experience.
Fantastic meal! Food is excellent!
Food and service was outstanding. Alaskan King Crab was fantastic with the Cajun spice added. Would definitely eat here again if in NYC.
Very good food and a nice rustic atmosphere. I recommend this place if you like Cajun food
Food was great. Awesome happy hour deals but slow service.
Food was great! Who can argue with fresh, meaty oysters for only a dollar during happy hour?
Are the creamy seafood pasta which sounds just as it tasted. The texture and flavor was spot on and had a good amount of seafood in it (clams, mussels and shrimp).
Definitely would come back!
The service took a long time and we were sat next to the kitchen which made it hot. The food and drinks
Were fantastic. Highly recommend!
Food and drinks were very good. The service staff was very polite and attentive.
Took my best friend and her husband to CajunSea. Have been there for lunch but it was great for dinner. The staff was greta helping to celebrate my best friend's birthday. Food and drinks were great. Will be back soon.
We had an AMAZING dinner, great food and service
I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is very fresh and delicious. Our server, Ariel, was friendly and very helpful.
Waitress could have been more attentive especially because the restaurant was empty. Food was decent.
Celebrated my birthday whilest also catching up with a long time friend I havent seen in awhile. Service from Anna was extremely attentive and friendly, always replenishing our beverages. Food was delicious and fresh, highly recommend the oysters. Great price for midtown. Ambiance was spacious and just perfect for catching up.The staff surprised me by serenading Happy birthday with a candle on a creme brulee. Would definitely bring friends here and highly recommend to others.
We enjoyed everything. However I recommend a little better service. Bar staff not all knowledable
Great food and drinks fast service
Went with some friends after work. Great oysters happy hour (5-8pm $1). Very attentive service and, good bar food and drinks at very reasonable prices.
Had a great family dinner at Cajun Sea. Service was excellent and the food was delicious!
The food was really good and fresh. We had the king crab leg with shrimp boil and added a 1 1/4 lobster and clams. The cajun seasoning was really good as well as the garlic butter flavor for the clams. Clams were perfectly cooked (not rubbery like some other places). The staff was friendly and attentive. Happy hour from 5-8pm even on a Saturday was a nice bonus, includes $1 oysters.
It was for a bday but there was no cake no happy bday song nothing I was very disappointed
Food was delicious
Shrimp cocktail was mushy defrosted frozen shrimp, so is the crawfish. Steam clam was fresh and juicy. But I have to remind them twice that I ordered the clam: it came out after I was done with my main course
Food was good and fresh. Nice decor. Be prepared to get your hands all in it.
As a Louisiana native, I am always skeptical of "cajun" restaurants so far from home. However, we tried it. Sadly, the etoufee was bland if not bad. The gumbo was okay. The other food selections for the most part were New England style seafood and did not disappoint. However, the word, "cajun" was misleading for someone from Baton Rouge and New Orleans. They should work on the Cajun recipes. Nice place and staff though.
Great food, great service & atmosphere. We took our time and we’re not rushed. 💔
When we arrived the host said our reservation didn't come through but I had an email confirmation from OpenTable. I've worked at restaurants that use OpenTable so she probably just forgot to check it. So they shoved us at this table in the corner of the bar area it was super dark and loud. They ran out of a lot of different dishes so my mom who is vegetarian ate rice and broccoli for dinner. They didn't bring the table out together, the rice and broccoli came out 10m. after the sea food ?? The waiter didn't come back and ask if our food was okay we had to ask the bartender for salt and pepper.
Very good buck a shuck oysters for happy hour. The lobster was great as was the lobster bisque soup.
Visited for the first time with my co-workers from out of town. It was a great way to unwind after a busy day. The food and drinks were great (seafood jambalaya) and the service fantastic.
First time visiting Cajun Sea and it was quite delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the raw oysters, the lobster roll, the cajun fried and the crawfish etouffe.
Food is so-so. The gumbo served was not hot and I have had better.
