Caffe Vialetto Ratings and Reviews
Went for anniversary dinner and it was perfect. Great food, ambiance and atmosphere. But what really makes it shine and stand out the most to me is the service! Such friendly environment. Limited menu selection, but I happen to like not having to flip through a menu that resembles a book to pick my dinner. This is the kind of place that feels like when you become a regular, everyone gets to know you and treats you like family. Will definitely be back.
Great food, unique tasty dishes . Very attentive staff. The only negatives were the heavy construction nearby and our server not telling us that gratuity had been added to the check. I didn’t think to check since it was only my wife and I. Lesson learned...review your bill.
Upon arriving we were greeted warmly by Ernie and Marcelo, the owners, at least one of whom is always at the restaurant. Even though we arrived early, they found a table for us and we were immediately seated.
Service was excellent and the food was fresh and tasty. You can never go wrong at Vialetto; everything is made fresh.
We have been going to Restaurant Vialetto for many years. More ir less 12 years. We have celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, bachelorette party and many other things. The two owners are very special people, Ernie and Marcelo. When they began they were young and full of energy. They put into the business all the energy and it has been successful. No to many restaurants in the area stay open as long as Cafe Vialetto has. Some former employees try with their own restaurants but I think never the same quality as Cafe Vialetto. Every time you enter everybody say hello and treat you as family. People of every age go to Cafe Vialetto. Wednesday was my birthday and I choose to go to Cafe Vialetto. There is a private room there and it was full of couples ranging in the eightys, they were so happy dinning and drinking wine. Marcelo himself went over the menu with all of them. Very nice gesture. That’s Marcelo.
Attended restaurant as part of the Miami Spice event. We were a group of 21. To ensure we could be accommodated, made the reservations a month before and also spoke to manager (Ernie). The Miami Spice Menu provided a decent variety of options - 3 appetizers, 3 Main Courses and 2 Desserts - at $39 pp. They sat us in a 'private room' and set the table up family style - i.e., one long table. We didn't fit. It was very tight seating. So, if you're going to have an event with this many people or more, suggest the table be set-up in a different manner. Maybe an L or U shape. The waiter assigned to us was a bit rude -- not sure if he was overwhelmed by the size of our party -- but he was not pleasant at all. If we would've had the option, the waiter would not have received the forced 18%. Seriously. The food was good, the room was great but that one (main) waiter... we could've done without.
We went to Cafe Vialetto on Saturday, 8/26/17, and ordered from their Miami Spice menu. I have participated in Miami Spice dining since its inception. This was the first time I experienced a Miami Spice menu with items not on the restaurant's regular menu. We started with appetizers: Duck Tacos & Polenta Meatball, both which were very tasty and cooked to perfection. For the main course, 2 of us ordered the Osso Bucco and one ordered Chicken Parmigana. The food was delicious, despite the portion sizes being quite petite. We were served a generous portion of pasta, however, the Osso Bucco was only about 3 ounces, at best. The Chicken Parmigana, like the Osso Bucco was a petite portion. We ordered the 2 featured desserts, Coconut Flan & Nutella Panacotta, and both were very good. Overall, the food and service were excellent, despite the portions sizes being quite small. I liked the fact that they provided both their regular & Miami Spice menus without having to ask, and also appreciated that when they provided us the bill, our very professional waiter let us know that the gratuity had been added. He was a class act.
This was our first experience at Cafe Vialettos and it did not disappoint! We chose the Miami Spice Menu and the courses were phenomenal. I tried the ravioli appetizer and the Chicken Parmesan main course with the risotto side. Absolutely wonderful!! The Best! Can't wait to return for other dishes from the regular menu! Bravo!
My wife and I really enjoyed the evening , with the excellent attentive service of the owner .
We had salmon that was offered that night and it was out of the park , the appetizer of potato croquettes was really different and tasty, to top it all the Guava cheese cake was excellent .
Was impressed by the number of great reviews. Sorry, I can't give it a great review. Tip was forced on us via an 18% surcharge. Seats were small and uncomfortable. Lighting needs updating as it looks like no decorator has been there in 30 years. Bread was simply awful, stodgy, heavy, like it wasn't prepared properly. Sushimi, Salmon was dinky in size. Linguini with clams was not good. I could go on but I will just say that the bill came to $124.00 and I ended up eating a proper dinner when I got home.
