we waited for service, the chicken dish we ordered said bone-in breast it look like a miniature chicken is a tiny piece along with tons of spinach on the top..did not taste very good. The waiter never checked on us. And the place did not appear to be very busy I would not recommend this restaurant
We're a long time married couple in our 70s, and we're major fans of Cafe Siena. We come here every year for New Year's Eve, and when we're going to the Blumenthal Center in downtown Charlotte for one of their cultural events. But I've also gone with much younger friends, sat at the bar and talked for hours. The staff is very friendly, easy to work with and knowledgable; we definitely pay a lot of attention to their food recommendations. The food is really good, ranging from classic to creative. We can't say anything about lunch because we don't go to that area except in the evenings. This is definitely a great place.
Valentines dinner, the steak was to die for
We were a large group and had a lovely experience. The service wad top notch and the food exceeded our expectations.
Apparently there was a fixed menu and we were not informed bc our server never came to our table so we left after 15 mins, very disappointed.
The food was extremely average for the price we paid. I went to dinner with three friends and tried a bit of everyone's dish and I was not impressed. The service was also average at best. Within thirty seconds of us sitting down, we were asked if we were ready to order, without asking what we wanted to drink. On the plus side, the drinks, though expensive, were delicious.
I went with a friend for Restaurant Week 2018 and it was delicious, great value and welcoming environment.
Excellent in all ways. Recommend the braised lamb shanks!
Despite the restaurant being empty on a Sunday when The Phantom of the Opera was on a block away, the service was tremendously slow. The waiters was not able to serve two coffees at the same time. My three eggs breakfast came with two eggs only. But I was lucky. My friend ordered shrimp and grits, which came in a very deep place. My grits was actually good, but hers had to be eaten with a spoon, because it was so watered down by a broth consistency dark sauce. She left everything on the plate. In any other place, they would've not charged for her meal.
I am never coming back, and already told my friends to stay away from this place
Went for Queens Feast. Great meal at a great value. Wasn't sure about eating at a restaurant associated with a hotel, but we were pleasantly surprised.
Excellent food and superior service near downtown and with parking in the holiday inn that can be validated
The overall quality of our experience was very good. We give high marks to our server Luis. He was knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive. The food was surprisingly good. Our table had the Morroccan Salmon, the Chicken Piccata and the Pasta Bowl. Each were ample, served attractively and warm. The focaccia is worth the visit. The wine list is limited, although we found a good Washington State Pinot Noir. It is noisy and like everyplace has TVs everywhere. Even so, we plan to return.
While our waitress was VERY sweet and VERY nice, we did not get the best service. We booked this reservation for their NYE dinner menu and at the time, we didn’t realize it was the restaurant connected to the Holiday Inn. The food was good and it was a good deal. Overall, they did a good job.
Ambience was cold, food not impressive for what we paid. No drinks included, dessert was suck.....
I have seen this place’s name around and thought I would give it a try for my birthday. Overall it was ok, nothing great. Should have thought a little more about it when it was located in the Holiday Inn Uptown.
