We were a party of nine. The service was great as was the food
This spot was such an unexpected delight. It's hard to find really good authentic Italian food that doesn't disappoint. This was the exception. The menu is small, but has a great variety. The wine list is lovely. The ambiance entices you to stay longer than you should. Customer service is perfect. This is quite the gem. Do yourself a favor and go on a Sunday afternoon and just... relax.
My friend and I went to Caffe Molise to celebrate her birthday, and had a lovely dinner. Our server (I believe her name was Claudia) was very accommodating and helpful with food and wine choices. I had the gnocchi with shrimp, which was good, but my friend had the eggplant “meatballs”, served with polenta and asparagus, and that was absolutely delicious. I would definitely order it for myself. The vanilla gelato was also quite scrumptious!
The Garden Area made for a quiet and lovely outdoor dining experience and the food was amazing and fresh. All the pasta was homemade making it out of the ordinary and definitely not the run of the mill Italian food.
Our party was seated outside on the patio. Outside seating is much more quiet, even hearing some traffic drive by. I’m guessing that the owners will work on sound control better in the new location.
Our server was attentive and fun to talk with. The meals were wonderful.
This was the second time visiting for my husband and I. Our two friends were very impressed with the quality and presentation of their meals, as were we. I wanted to try another item off the menu to see if it was as delectable as my previous choice. It did not disappoint . My husband also enjoyed a different menu item.
To date, we have tried the Antipasti del Giorno (meat and cheese appetizer), Polenta Con Funghi (mushroom and polenta appetizer), lasagna, orecchiette, Involtini di Pollo (prosciutto stuffed chicken), Arista (pork tenderloin), Bistecca (beef tenderloin) and a beef special of the evening. Entrees (besides pastas) come with mashed potatoes and each entree comes with a dinner salad a wonderful, fresh dinner rolls.
We held a baby shower for my daughter at Cafee Molise. We requested to be seated on the patio. When we arrived they had everything ready for us on their beautiful patio. We actually ended up having 2 additional guests that we added at the last minute. The staff was very helpful and cordial in making room for our larger party. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was lovely and all of our guests had a wonderful time. Thank you to your staff for making this truly a wonderful event!
Wonderful restaurant - great food but bad acoustics. Definitely fit for foodies.
I used the opentable app to make reservations and our polite server commented on our special occasion referenced in our reservations. The steak and the pork loin were incredible! My wife said she wanted to eat slower because she didn’t want the dinner to end.
We have been coming here for years and years and have always had great service. We came on Mother's Day afternoon, after brunch was over, around 3pm. We were on the patio, and it wasn't very busy. We had a rather young man who was friendly. I ordered a dinner salad. Another person, who wasn't our waiter, brought out our entrees, which was very quick. I asked if I could get my salad first. He went back to find our waiter, who came out and said he must have forgot to put that in when he gave our order to the cooks. I said to never mind, as my Mother would have to have either waited to eat her entrée, or She would have been done before I had even started my entrée. We ordered two deserts and two coffees. He brought out the two deserts but not the coffees. Again, we had to ask for them, as he said he had forgotten. If you have waiters who can't remember things, maybe they should write them down. This in no way will deter us from coming again, or coming to the new location, as this is one of my favorite restaurants, but thought you might want to know and possibly do some additional training.
Delicious food and great service in an elegant atmosphere. Cafe Molise was a great find.
We had a delicious meal and lovely experience at Caffe Molise! The best dish on the table was the pork with plum sauce. Yum!
Pasta dish was mediocre at best :( No creamy sauces for pasta dishes this night so the fresh tomato choice was not good containing too many seeds and skins. Pasta was cooked right at least. The fish entre was excellent.
I wanted to go for lunch for an early Mother's.Day with my husband and my daughter. The pasta was wonderful.
Awesome! Requested the patio, it looked crowded but we were sat right away. It was a pre-concert dinner, and wonderful. Great ambiance, great food, great service, didn’t make us feel rushed at all!
Excited to see and eat at the new place. Great food, great restaurant.
Has been a favorite of mine for years! Excited to see what the new location will be like - but will really really The the amazing patio they have now!
Going to miss the outdoor patio. It's a downtown landmark.
I've loved the Cafe being located on 1st South. I am curious to how much I will use it after you move. This has been my favorite place to bring business guests - especially in the summer time when the patio is in use.
Great outdoor patio. Good menu with lots of reasonably priced options.
The food was amazing! I loved eating on the patio. Our server was wonderful. If I’m ever back in Salt Lake City, I’d definitely go back!
This restaurant was very disappointing. The food was average at best; lacking flavor. We were a group of six and had a wide sampling of dishes but could not really get excited by any of them. The dinner rolls were not even warm. The best part of the meal was sitting in a lovely outdoor garden.
Caffe Molise was everything I expected. It was a busy night but we were seated promptly at the time of the reservation. Service and food was excellent
The waiter and the food were awesome! Definitely coming back!!
Enjoyed a nice lunch with my wife and daughter. They both raves about the lunch special salad. I had a sausage panini which was alright but not outstanding. All in all a solid lunch.
We had the lunch special cheese tortellini with chicken and garlic curry sauce. It was off the chain!
Excellent food, service and atmosphere!
It was a great meal. Many good choices on the menu, so we will be back. They are about one block from the Eccles Theater. They were very aware of the show timing and made sure to be prompt for everyone who needed to leave.
Service was great, food was delivered timely, and it tasted great. Water was refilled quickly, bread was brought out shortly after being seated, emptied plates were promptly removed, and the prices were reasonable for the center of the city.
Great service, excellent food, and a nice wine list!
Was great! Great service. Great food. Was a bit loud, was really wishing to sit outdoors, but maybe next time.
We had a fabulous time. Our server (I think Brent) was so tolerant of our rowdy table. He did a wonderful job with suggestions, and overall meeting our requests. He a great sense of humor. Two of us are gluten-free, and the menu was perfect. The food was fantastic!
I forgot how much I liked this place. So happy we went back. I sure hope the new location will be as wonderful. The server Paul was excellent!
Cafe Molise has excellent food, service and ambiance. We were very pleased with our waiter and the setting was relaxing and enjoyable. Will definitely return soon!
Too busy so service not quite up yo par. Had to ask for rolls. Always easy before symphony, but
The patio was open and a great night
Love the patio!
We love Cafe Molise for dinner. We often reserve a place at the Wine Bar because the ambiance is better but they serve Cafe Molise food there. We were very disappointed with the food for lunch. We have dinner favorites and wanted to share them with family in from out of town for my graduation lunch. Unfortunately Cafe Molise will not serve dinner items for lunch. We regretted staying and sharing not so great food with our family.
Moral of the story, if you go for dinner you will be wowed (get the butternut squash ravioli and the Bisteca, Arista or Chicken Marsala) if you want lunch go somewhere else.
I love eating at Cafe Molise! It has such a great vibe there! Every time I have been there everyone working there is so nice and friendly! You can tell it’s a fun place to work because they all seem to be happy, which is nice when your dining and want a positive and fun atmosphere! I can say that I have just recently been using Open Table and so I don’t want to say what I ate the last time I was there. Although our waitress was so sweet and great! And she made a great wine choice for me, which is so nice to have a knowledgeable staff! The food was great this time, and every time we have been! We try and order different things every time, and we have never been let down! I loved sitting on the patio this last time we went, that is really nice!!! To me, Cafe Molise feels like eating in Europe did, and I love it!!!
Great restaurant! Always good food and good service!
