Caffe Molise Ratings and Reviews
Servings are VERY generous, so sharing might be advisable. The spinach salad was excellent and the pasta (Orecchiette al Salsiccia) was nicely spiced with a broth-like sauce. Wine list is very well balanced and priced reasonably. Service was quick and friendly. Recommended.
I remember when it was in only one of its current several rooms. I’m very happy to see them prospering. Back then I always counted on a very well sourced and prepared meal, with a touch of innovation. Frankly, I am not downtown as much anymore, but I thought the food was all I came to expect back in the day. I hosted an important guest and he was every bit as pleased as I. I will make it a point not to make it so long between visits.
There was nothing glaringly bad, but the experience could have been better. The server and workers were polite and cordial. The bread was very good. However, I didn't enjoy the chicken Marsala very much. It could have been my palate, but it just didn't suit my taste.
It was nice to have very good service. We never had to wait or think we needed something our waiter was on top of it, but he wasn't hovering around and asking if needed anything too much. It is definitely a fine balance and he had it down. Food was excellent as usual.
I found Caffe Molise through a recommendation from a friend. I wanted somewhere unique but quaint to throw a wedding shower for my soon to be sister-in-law. It was wonderful. The food was delicious. I wanted to sample everyone's dish. We had great service. And just had a very enjoyable, relaxing evening in this beautiful restaurant. The only negative to the whole night was there was a live band that night and I love live bands & they were great, but our party was seated right next to it and it made it really hard to hear each other being in such a large group (+10 people). Next time I'd request to seat in another part of the restaurant if I were to have a party like that there again.
Now I want to go back with my husband for a date because its just super romantic.
We come to SLC to ski and eat. We always (always!) include a meal here. The dishes are consistent in flavour and quality. As a native Trevisana I am very particular about Italian food.
My daughter is still raving about the special beef shoulder medallions which she says were perfect and wouldn’t share with us. I love anything with polenta. The black fig sauce was as good this time as it was three years ago. Though your servings are large, we eat only the entire and dream of the rest of the menu.
We originally discovered this place late one evening and the staff kindly accommodated us. We have brought guests along and now they text us to say they are having dinner there.
Your establishment is a treasure and we (selfishly) wish you and your staff continued success.
I love this charming restaurant. Although the decor is plain and raw, the food is the opposite. I recommend ordering one of their specials, they have never failed me. The first special I tried was a jambalaya pasta, the best I had ever had, until I tried the burrata ravioli in a mushroom sauce. Decisions....!
The place was cold, and I'm not usually cold. We had the brushetta, which was plentiful but tasted off. Our pasta dishes were okay but not inspired. The green salad had no other veggies other than leaves.
All on all, the place was decorated nice but I think we'll stick with Cannellas.
