Nice setting. Great service. Large portions, good for splitting. Reasonably priced. But the food was noting special.
My wife’s scallops were not cooked as requested. It took 20 minutes to have it corrected and in the mean time my dinner became cold. The manager took care of everything.
Caffe Molise was fabulous. The menu is great, the daily specials were amazing, and they have a fabulous wine list. What more could you want? Well, you might want a fabulous wait staff, a great chef in the kitchen, and very comfortable ambiance - and you get that too.
Highly recommend this local gem!
Even though we are from SLC, my husband and I decided to stay downtown because we had an event that was going to end close to midnight. We walked to Cafe Molise from our hotel. What a lovely place with delicious food! We both had the Mediterranean salad as well as the scallops with pasta. Loved the brick walls, and the art, the quiet atmosphere, and the service. We will go back and we will recommend to friends.
Lovely meal, friendly waitress, delicious wine, great live music!
Excellent food and excellent service! This was our first time here, but we will definitely be back.
Lovely dinner with a small group after our conference. A nice mix of traditional options plus more interesting Italian dishes. Very informed and pleasant server. The pork loin and bread pudding were especially yummy! Nice to be able to make a late night reservation.
Our server had excellent knowledge of the food and wine choices. Nice atmosphere and quick service.
We came here after a day of skiing before we were catching a plane home. The place was fantastic from start to finish. The food was well worth every dollar spent. The service was excellent. We will be back next time we are in SLC.
I love this place. I visit SL regularly and never miss a chance to eat there. Great people and great food. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
First time at Caffe Mollise. Had a 7:30 res and arrived early, we were promptly seated. The appetizer brushcetta was large and superb. We both ordered the Pappardelle with ground sausage and ground beef. The noodles were homemade and excellent, sauce was tasty but no apparent meat. It came with a salad that definitely needs some work. It was just spring mix with a very small amount of dressing and nothing else on it. but some powder-like cheese. The main issue was the waitress. She wasn't very friendly nor offering. She just came by at the beginning and asked if we had any questions. I watched the waiter next to us tell about specials, welcome the customers, offer pepper for their salad, etc. She never even cleaned our dirty dishes off after appetizers or salad. Don't remember her name, but she had notable large white glasses.
I will be back again, for the food was good and hopefully get a different waitress.
I discovered this restaurant a few years back when here for a conference. Every time i come to SLC I go there - and love to take new people to experience it! Fantastic food, from the appetizers to the desserts - everything is top notch. For a special treat - order yourself one of their custom italian sodas! YUMMY! for those that are into wine, they have a great wine list too. Cant wait to visit during the summer - so i can sit on that beautiful patio they have!
Fantastic food. Wonderful service. Best veggie meatballs ever!
Good food and service. Wine list is limited and the restaurant has a bad smell
Restaurant could use a bit more character and style, felt a bit like a strip mall location. A little cold and mismatched. But what it lacked in ambiance it made up for in great service and good food. Everything was cooked properly and seasoned well. Only critique is the meat and sauce on the pasta, it was a bit on the cool side and didn't come across as the hearty pasta and meat sauce that was promised. But overall a great experience!
Delicious as always!
Delicious. Good people, nice atmosphere. I look forward to seeing them in their new location.
Delicious food and professional service. Thank you!!
BEST part was the waiter, he was great! Impeccable service and knowledge of the restaurant.Food was great to.
Love this restaurant!!!
We had made a reservation on Friday 02/23/2018 for a party of 4 at 6:30 PM and noted that one in the party required wheel chair seating . It was snowing and we had difficulty navigating the unplowed sidewalks with the passenger in the wheelchair. We arrived 20 " late and were told our reservation was cancelled as we were more than 15 " late and could not be seated. I spoke to the manager who did find us a table. The food was OK for Italian in Salt Lake City but not for most metropolitan areas that are "convention cities". Service was very good after we were seated. Had a much better meal at Cucina Toscana the previous evening.
Waitstaff was knowledgeable and efficient. A hidden gem.
Super delicious Italian food
Loved atmosphere, food & service! The wine selections were on spot and the Italian dumplings’ sauce was unique and utterly delightful! Bread tasty.
We dine here quite often, but this time we took another couple with us who had never been to Caffe Molise before, and they loved it! We all enjoyed our meals...the guys had the salmon special and the ladies had the butternut squash ravioli appetizer as their meal. We skipped dessert, but the rolls are so delicious they could count for dessert! We would have stayed longer and enjoyed the ambience and the band, but we were going to a basketball game. We LOVE eating here in the summertime on the patio-it's amazing!
Very close to Marriott Hotel - very friendly staff and some intrerwdting and different takes in d9ne dishes - recommended!
Enjoyed a fantastic dinner with a group of friends while in town for a volleyball tournament. The restaurant accommodated us with a last minute reservation (thank you open table), the food was fantastic and the service was outstanding. Looking forward to our next trip back to SLC and this darling restaurant!
The food was absolutely delicious. The waiter told us about the chef’s special’s before taking our order and still gave us enough room to enjoy the experience. The staff was very quick to keep our drinks full and to clear any empty plates from our table. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Not too mention the food is very much worth the price. Everyone from kitchen to front of house did a very good job. Will definitely come back again.
It was an excellent spot for great food and atmosphere while moms unwound after watching hours and hours of their daughters playing volleyball. David was our waiter (twice) and managed of our picky requests with a smile and "absolutely". He even helped push out a woman's car from the snow, who was parked out front!
NOISY. Server never came back to check on food and drinks after serving the dishes. Food average - nothing special.
We loved the pork tenderloin, brucetta, and gnocci as well as our delicious cocktails and wine. The live music was awesome, although I wish they would have played longer into the evening. Our reservation was for 7:45pm and we were initially seated in the adjoining room, but asked to be seated closer to the music, which was thankfully accommodated. Our waiter was sweet, knowledgable, and our food was so good. We would love to make Caffe Molise our go to for future special occasions and evenings out.
Had a very good experience at Caffe Molise. After we were seated a very large and loud group of teenage volleyball players were seated next to us. The staff went out of their way to get us a different and much quieter table. The manager was very apologetic and even comped our appetizer. The food was very good and the service was wonderful and very attentive. We will go back.
Good Italian food, but not amazing (we are spoiled and have lived in Boston, which has the North End and also in Providence, which has Federal Hill). We got the mushroom polenta for an appetizer. It was good, but not amazing. Flavors were a little flat, and everything just tasted like red sauce. I got the pappardelle al sugo, which was very good. The homemade pasta was nice. My husband got the salmon pasta dish, which he enjoyed. Best part of the meal was the dessert, which was a chocolate mousse cake.
Fantastic food, romantic atmosphere for Valentines and I loved the live music!!!
Started closing up early especially for Valentine's day. Food was over salted. May as well have been olive garden.
Great food and service - all very quickly. Nice spot for lunch.
The food is very delicious and worth it. I’d recommend the butternut squash ravioli. They connect to Wine Bar so there is a great selection of cocktails, wine and beer. I highly recommmend this restaurant.
I always have the most amazing dining experience when I come here. The staff is exceptional and I so appreciate that it is so consistent! The food is exquisite and I love the ambience and it's always so nice and they have live music as well. I always have the most remarkable experiences when I come to dine here!
Awesome waiter, excellent food, great ambiance.
