Caffe Molise Ratings and Reviews
We loved the pork tenderloin, brucetta, and gnocci as well as our delicious cocktails and wine. The live music was awesome, although I wish they would have played longer into the evening. Our reservation was for 7:45pm and we were initially seated in the adjoining room, but asked to be seated closer to the music, which was thankfully accommodated. Our waiter was sweet, knowledgable, and our food was so good. We would love to make Caffe Molise our go to for future special occasions and evenings out.
Had a very good experience at Caffe Molise. After we were seated a very large and loud group of teenage volleyball players were seated next to us. The staff went out of their way to get us a different and much quieter table. The manager was very apologetic and even comped our appetizer. The food was very good and the service was wonderful and very attentive. We will go back.
I always have the most amazing dining experience when I come here. The staff is exceptional and I so appreciate that it is so consistent! The food is exquisite and I love the ambience and it's always so nice and they have live music as well. I always have the most remarkable experiences when I come to dine here!
Rather large restaurant with several separate rooms. This creates an odd, disjointed feeling if you are the only ones seated in one of those rooms. Street face of the restaurant is lacking, as is the entrance. I realize that is a costly change to make but the proximity to Marriott and Hilton and convention center should create enough business opportunity to help justify an upgrade.
We felt quite hurried at each step of our dining. Upon arrival we were rushed to our table with no greeting. Our sever approached and never greeted us, just asked for a beverage order. Next, serving our entrée's to the wrong patron(why ask if you are not going to listen to who ordered what?). Finally, they removed the plates before we were through eating. ???
The food was good: salads, salmon and ravioli were ordered and we agreed we would order again.
I usually visit Café Molisse for lunch. My guest picked the venue for dinner before heading to the Utah Symphony performance. Dinner was delicious. The tenderloin was cooked to a medium rare perfection. We both ordered a glass of Brunello which complemented the meat very well. Great service.
I was just looking up great Italian places for my birthday and saw this as one of the first restaurants that came up. IT WAS EXCELLENT. Food was great, location was easily accessible, and service was awesome. I had a great experience and am already telling my friends!
We enjoyed a wonderful evening with dear friends at Caffe Molise in Salt Lake City. This restaurant is a must-try. The food was fantastic, the service and their knowledge and descriptions of the food and wine was impressive.
The timing of the arrival of food and beverage was spot on and yet you hardly realized that we were being attended by a team of two or three servers! I highly recommended.
Prompt and attentive service. A nice space overall, and the jazz trio that started up towards the end of our meal was a lovely addition. I ordered the Arista, which was outstanding. My wife ordered the house-made pasta dish, and it was okay, but the sauce lacked a little punch. She ended up wishing she had ordered what I did, so I shared.
Servings are VERY generous, so sharing might be advisable. The spinach salad was excellent and the pasta (Orecchiette al Salsiccia) was nicely spiced with a broth-like sauce. Wine list is very well balanced and priced reasonably. Service was quick and friendly. Recommended.
I remember when it was in only one of its current several rooms. I’m very happy to see them prospering. Back then I always counted on a very well sourced and prepared meal, with a touch of innovation. Frankly, I am not downtown as much anymore, but I thought the food was all I came to expect back in the day. I hosted an important guest and he was every bit as pleased as I. I will make it a point not to make it so long between visits.
There was nothing glaringly bad, but the experience could have been better. The server and workers were polite and cordial. The bread was very good. However, I didn't enjoy the chicken Marsala very much. It could have been my palate, but it just didn't suit my taste.
