Very good food and service. The appetizers were amazing! would recommend.
So pleasantly surprised at how beautifully they have renovated this gorgeous building. The food was fabulous and the ambience wonderful. They have really upped their game. I will definitely be back!
The food is a little overpriced for the quality, but I keep coming back. Good little Italian spot.
Food was decent, service was also. 2 things we didn't like. A salad upgrade charge for a small Caesar salad? Also there are 2 levels to the restaurant. The lower area looked like a regular place, but we were seated upstairs. Terrible ambiance, seemed we were in a cafeteria setting. Couldn't hear any music, uncomfortable
Our waitress Claudia, was wonderful and got the chef to make vegan options for me and told us a little about the history of the historic building!
I was in town for an evening with my daughter and we were looking for some good home cooking. We found it at Cafe Molise. The Pappardelle al Sugo was made with fresh noodles and was amazing. The lasagne was a comfort food masterpiece.
Great food. Good value. Great service. Beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend for anything from date night to everyday dining to a special event ie birthday, bachelorette party, anniversary, etc.
Waitress got one of our orders wrong and getting the new one good some time.
Two orders came out cold (so three of five meals had issues)
Rest of the food was very good.
Waitress was kind.
I really love the Molise food, but I think the new dining room is not as cozy and too loud if one wants to have a conversation (this was a business meeting).
If you find yourself in Salt Lake City, Utah, or you live that area and have not tried it, the Cafe Molise is a very pleasant place to dine. The menu covers a decent variety of Italian dishes and there is a wine and beer list large enough to provide a beverage for most drinkers.
Definitely a must-go to restaurant
New location has much more room. Food and service was great.
Fantastic in every way. This was my first time at the new location and it was even better than my experience at the prior location. Superb Italian food at prices that feel right for the quality.
Disappointing experience. My food was lukewarm at best and a little crusty, like it had been sitting under a warmer. I did enjoy the taste of my ravioli even though it wasn't hot enough. My husband's asparagus was completely cold. My mom's salad had rancid greens in it. They didn't give us plates for the oil and vinegar. The food was definitely overpriced.
They charged us for wine we didn't order. The server wasn't as familiar with the menu as I would have liked. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant. We do not plan to go back.
Upstairs is not as charming as the main level. It’s is an open floor and works for large groups.
First off, the renovations are beautiful! We were met and greeted warmly by several staff members and it was easy to get a reservation. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and recommended some amazing specials. The manager checked on us and was professional, kind, and genuine. The food was reasonably priced and portioned. The restaurant got busy but the noise wasn’t bad like I’ve experienced before with busy restaurants with high ceilings. If you haven’t had the chocolate mousse cake, run, don’t walk, to try it. We come every year for our anniversary and we are treated like family.
Wonderful warm environment in a restored historic building. Menu variety was excellent, portions were large, and prices were moderate. Our server Ben was very nice and efficient. Celebrated my daughters birthday. Nice to support a local place.
What a beautiful experience - both the food and the ambiance at Cafe Molise were fabulous. Don't miss the opportunity to dine at their new restaurant. Wow! What a neat space. Check out their event space upstairs and book it for your next corporate party, wedding, or private event.
Good delicious and service prompt. It’s such a lovely place that I hadn’t anticipated being rushed. That was my only disappointment. Upstairs for music and desert was a special treat.
The decor was classy but not stuffy. More understated. There were families and couples and the dress was casual. The food (A+) was excellent - very tasty, well prepared and presented. The portions were generous. The service was outstanding!! Our waiter, Paco, was engaging and knowledgeable. Wine selection was not extensive but very adequate. Great dining experience.
Great food. Love the new building. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
Menu is amazing. Service is amazing. I wish there were more intimate seating options. Atmosphere is pretty noisy. Building has so much potential. Perhaps it will be better in summer with the outdoor seating.
As a fan of the original location, and not great about change, I waited a while before checking out the new location. I have to say, I’m an even bigger fan of what has been done to bring this historic location to life. The food, service and ambiance was incredible! We shared two of that evening’s specials - the Scallops and the Beef Shoulder - and finished with my favorite Tiramisu ever! Sitting near the Kitchen meant a little more noise and activity than another table would have offered, but everything from the craft Cocktails through dessert more than made up for that. The cozy bar area is gorgeous. I’ll be back to try BTG in the lower level, and enjoy time on the patio when the weather allows!
Delicious Northern Italian food.
The Gnocchi, Beef Shoulder, scallops appetizer were delicious.
Wide selection of craft beer and delicious aperitifs.
The food was incredible! The ambience was wonderful. Loved it!
Spouse and I shared the pork loin and a pasta dish. All good, but the pork is a staff favorite and was ours as well. Loved the figs! And I like the new location since my visit to SLC last year.
Excellent food and service. Parking is rough but its downtown so to be expected
Nice environment but really terrible food. We ordered an antipasto platter and it was made up of over-chilled supermarket cheddar and seemingly a few other afterthoughts. And the pastas were watery and totally flavorless. The service was rushed. Would not recommend.
It was really good.
We liked the new venue with its historical flair. The food was outstanding. Only issue for us was the noise level.
Unbeatable. Service is so good. Restaurant is gorgeous. The food is consistently delicious.
First of all, our favorite restaurant in SLC and ohlala its gotten better than ever in its fabulous new location!!! Paul, the best waiter ever, served us. The food was perfect!!!
We arrived early for our reservation but were seated promptly. The food was mostly excellent though the chicken dish was much better than the pasta. We were seated near the door and it was quite loud and busy. We would definitely dine there again.
First time at the new location...excellent. Great space. Looking forward to the patio when the weather improves...their previous was the best in town. Usually had lunch at the old location...dinner at the new was just as good if not better...and generous portions. Will be back again and again....
I was excited to try Caffe Molise in their new location, which had been a dance club, and it did not disappoint. The ambience, food, and service were very good. It was quite busy on a Friday night, so i would definitely make reservations. I look forward to going in the summer when the patio is open.
Our young man server was very attentive and professional. The food was delicious. One minor complaint is that the pasta could have been a little hotter. The mederteranian salid was great and we suspect that the pasta may have been ready and “held” as we finished the salid leading to the luke warm pasta.
Accommodated our group of 9 with ease!
Friendly and attentive staff! If ur in the area looking for good food def recommend this place
It took 15 minutes to get a glass of water. The gnocchi was bland. And it was extremely noisy in the restaurant.
The food here was excellent. The restaurant is decorated really nicely and we enjoyed the ambiance. Service was average, not bad but not great either. Overall a good experience and we will definitely be coming back.
