I really enjoyed this restaurant and will return in the future. I ordered the Pollo Marsala and it was wonderful! I upgraded to the Medetranean salad and enjoyed all of the different olives. I was glad I went hungry as the portions were good sized.
My guest had the Butternut Squash Ravioli and they Said it was a very flavorful dish with very balance flavors.
Had no idea what to expect after Caffe Molise moved to the old Bay Building at the corner of 200 South, West Temple and was delighted with what I saw. Two floors of old world charm, super service and the same great food they've always had. Can't wait for warm weather because the renovated space includes plenty of romantic outdoor dining.
The food was good, not to die for. The service was very slow including bringing the appetizers that was intended to help be patience for the main dish.
Great food and marvelous atmosphere. The live three piece music was amazing!
Service was fantastic. We had Paul as our server and he was just delightful. The food was out of this world, and we got great wine recommendations. The new building is beautiful, and we will definitely be back in! Perfect for a date night!
The food was pretty good, not great. Our waiter was friendly and pretty good, again not top notch For the money my wife and I agreed we probably won’t rush to go back instead of try something else.
Food was delicious! We will definitely be back. Parking was very difficult to find. They need a bigger lot.
It was very lovely!
Perfect for valentines! ❤ the food was delicious as well as the drinks. Live Jazz music was a hit!
Loved the location.
Food and service were great.
Bit overpriced for what you get, but that will not stop me from going back.
Best Italian we’ve had since moving to Salt Lake 2 years ago! My wife and I went for Valentine’s Day, expecting to spend a ton. We were pleasantly surprised by unbelievable food for much cheaper than expected. We were upstairs in the banquet room, so it wasn’t as “intimate” as I might have liked, but the downstairs area, where one would likely sit during a non-holiday dinner, looked amazing and romantic. We will absolutely be back, and will recommend it to anyone that will listen. Incredible restaurant!
Food was incredible and server was very attentive and friendly! Beautiful, intimate restaurant
Love the new place, but we felt packed in. We couldn’t have any conversation without the parties next to us being able to eavesdrop.
Great food and service, though, are still just as good as before. Thanks!
Great service, great food. Staff was helpful and very quick and attentive. Worth the price.
We arrived at opening, 5 pm, and afterwards we were glad we did. We were to go to the symphony after, 730 pm, and the place was packed on a Wednesday night on our way out. I had the pork tenderloin and the meat was perfect and the flavor delightfully different. My other had the eggplant ravioli. She wouldn't have it again but insisted the aldente was just right and packed with flavor. Unfortunately the entree had cooled slightly perhaps waiting for my perfect tenderloin. My veggies too were delicious alongside the garlic mashed potato companion. We had the bruschetta for an appetizer which failed nestled atop the great bread, delicate and toasted just right. The bean mash was tasteless, the spinach and diced tomatoes would've been better warm. Also, we had to ask for some fresh ground cheese.
While I like the new location and the food is generally good, in the three times I have eaten here I have come away feeling something is wanting with the food. In this case, the temperature of the food was warm instead of hot and the food in general was good enough, just not really memorable.
I remember the food from 5 or 6 years ago as being exceptional. The food on my recent visit was pretty unremarkable. Certainly edible but not great.
The food was great. The service was outstanding. Overall experience was excellent.
Very nice place. The selection was great, and so was all the food we had. Polenta, house made pasta, salads, desserts, all great! It reminded me of a place in Philadelphia.
if you can find a place to park it's worth going in.
Delicious food and courteous staff! I would go again!
I haven't been to Café Molise for nearly a year so this was my first time in the new location. Parking was an issue but not unexpected. But I would crawl 5 miles for the Salmon & Pasta dish. It was amazing and a big shout out to the chef in the prep. My Moscow Mule was kicking (pun intended). The Ginger beer they use had a great spice to it. Can't wait for my next visit. Deirdre
The music was nice(Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin), but it skipped. Probably bad signal. The staff was nice but seemed slightly unhappy to be there. Food and cocktails were amazing.
Love the new spot! Food here is always amazing! Only drawback from my visit was the server was a bit slow. We were there early on a Sunday, I think there was one other table. Guess they were just prepping for the day. I will definitely be back. I hope the patio is as charming as the previous location.
Our dining experience at Cafe Molise was outstanding! The service was the best we have received in a long time. The wait staff was ever present without being intrusive. The food was excellent and a very good value for a 5 star experience.
Great pre symphony venue.
Food was good, service was terrible. We sat down for our reservation at 8:15pm, our waitress took our order right away. Our waitress never checked on us and after an hour wait, our appetizer was finally served. We pointed out the wait to our waitress and asked to skip our salads so we could make our 9:45pm movie. The waitress never apologized for the wait and never brought the drink my husband ordered. We finally were served our entree at 9:20 and asked for the check right away. The waitress offered to pay for our appetizer, yet brought us a check that included the charge for the appetizer.
Loved the building, decor
Very attentive staff
Sadly bread is terrible for Italian restaurant
Also sad that I had to return my food because it was cold
Upcharge for handmade pasta too $$
Wine pour skimpy :(
Friendly welcome, I’d asked for a quiet table as my husband has hearing issues and we were asked if we minded waiting a couple of minutes so they could give us the best table. It was about 1 minute wait and we were given the perfect spot, corner table away from a couple of larger parties. Service was efficient and fun. The special scallops were melt in the mouth delicious with yummy seasoning, they came rather rapidly, before we’d received our wine as we ordered that a little after our food order and our waiter apologized saying he didn’t know they were sending it out. The wine did take a little while coming but was a lovely red from Puglia, lots of fruit with light spice and paired beautifully with our spiced pork tenderloins with figs. Those were perfection, tender and tasty with lovely spicing and just the right amount of sweetness from the figs. We’d happily go back and have the same again! all together a delightful evening, our waiter was informative, attentive and amusing and the surroundings are a great mixture preserving the beautiful heritage building with some modern twists.
The service and the food were outstanding. The noise level was simply awful.
Our waitperson was very nice and the restaurant was comfortable. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. The bread was an average white roll and not what you would expect in an Italian restaurant. We ordered the sweet potato raviolis and they came our luke warm. We were not offered parmesan cheese and when we requested it, we were brought a little cup of clumpy, cold cheese. I would expect freshly grated cheese in a nice Italian eatery. Finally, the chicken marsala was inedible and had to be sent back. The chicken was very dry and over-cooked.
Food was good, beautiful location but the service was a little slow.
This was the first time at the new location and I was pleased to find the quality and service was as good as it was in their previous location. Our server was accommodating to our requests and I appreciated that they noticed that the reservation was made for a birthday and provided a dessert for our guest of honor. I look forward to going back!
It was my husbands birthday on the 28th. We had a party of 6. The waitress could not have been friendlier. She had her recommendations. She was perfect. Everyone seemed to enjoy their dinner. The food was excellent
Great food, great service. And a special shoutout to the waitress that took us upstairs to see the banquet room. We'll definitely be back.
We went there for my husbands birthday celebration and the food was delicious. Perfect portion sizes, the ambience and decor were old Italian classy style. Highly recommend
The new location is great. They have done a wonderful job of renovation this building. The food was good.
The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. The ambience is very good for a romantic dinner.
Great wine list! Scallop starter was fantastic. Entrees came out cold and after exceptional service to that point then server is no where to be found. Disappointed. Could have been a great meal as flavors were there, would have been better hot. Was a first visit, might try again.
we have been there several times to celebrate birthday's the food is always tasty and the service is always good.
My daughter is getting married in September this would be a great place for a wedding/reception
