I have never been disappointed at Caffe Macaroni. In fact I am always reminded of the real tastes of Italy. Mario is the ultimate host and chef accommodating any specific requests one might have. His recipes are authentic and delicious and the value is amazing. I am at a loss as to why this little gem never gets a write up by the local papers. Shame on them for not supporting this local Amal authentic family run restaurant.

This is the place we come when we want to feel like we're home. Mario and Stephanie are amazing people with warm hearts and sharp sense of humor. Their food shines through as if you are sitting in a small restaurant in an alley in Naples. Just ask Mario about what wine you prefer and he'll bring you the best bottle that costs a fraction of anywhere else in the City. Oh, and the limoncello and tiramisu are not to be missed!

Our second time visiting. Everything we ordered was delicious from the spaghetti and meatballs to the Papadelle with meat sauce. Restaurant looks to be a locals spot as the owners treated guests as family! We’ll be back on our next visit to the city!

The food is very good. I try to eat here every time l am in town. The owners are hands on and are the best with people. There menu is just full of amazing dishes. The wine is a bit pricey and they should pore a bigger glass. But the food is why I go and the 2 owners husband and wife are divine.

This is a place to dine anytime you want great food but don't need to spend $300 on dinner in SF. When you dine here you are family. This place is fun, consistently GREAT QUALITY & a wonderful value that will make you want to come back every day!

Been coming here for over 30 years! It’s our favorite place. It’s completely authentic, the food and wine never disappoint and it feels like a homey neighborhood restaurant with Mario at the hub! Our favorite dish is always the Gnocchi with Gorgonzola!

If you want a beautiful ambiance and a real Italian food, you have to come here. It is ran by a wonderful couple. The food it so good! I had the yellow tail appetizer and it was one of the best things I have ever had. If you want a romantic date go there. I have already recommended it to two friends.

Classic Italian restaurant in North Beach that has been there for years. Very small inside, but there are tables outside, too. We had bean soup and the pasta with clams and mussels with a glass of Sangiovese. Simple but delicious! Highly recommend.

Excellent food and service, quaint dining room. We have tried many items on the menu and while it’s all delicious, my favorite is the Pasta Nera Amalfitana, then end the meal with Stephanie’s limoncello cake. Already thinking about our next meal there. Thank you Mario & Stephanie!

I discovered this lovely spot on a girls trip to SF almost 20 years ago! I am so happy it is still open. A true taste of AUTHENTIC Southern Italian food! The service is amazing and the food is fantastic. This little North beach gem will not disappoint.

We were immediately greeted and seated. We were offered beverages within minutes of our arrival. We ordered salad and pasta and everything was exquisitely prepared and presented. The salad and pasta were both absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant's interior is intimate and charming and their outdoor space is nicely lit and heated. Highly recommend Caffe Macaroni! We will definitely return.

Highly recommended with authentic Italian cuisine and atmosphere. Clearly a local favorite with clear evidence of regulars with strong community. As a non-native, I felt welcomed by host Stephanie for a great lunch. Some noise but only attributable to normal downtown street traffic.

Quaint, friendly and delicious. The restaurant is very small inside but they do have quite a few outside tables. We had the wild boar pappardelle and black risotto which were both excellent. For dessert we shared the limoncello cake that was vert lemony and good and the tiramisu which was nice. We definitely will go there again.

I go here regularly and always try something different. I'm never disappointed with either the specials or what's on the main menu. Don't skip dessert! The panna cotta is my favorite. Mario and Stephanie are the best!
