Great Food and waiter was very nice! Our seat request was ignored though... saw the people get seated at our requested seat 30 seconds before we walked through the door, and we were early too... Very disappointed in that but otherwise very nice.

We were sat immediately when we arrived. The variety is very good with this place and there is something for everyone. The taste of the food is top notch, our server Hannah was very sweet and and attentive. I wanted the calamari appetizer to be larger but everything else was great.

Enjoyed our dining experience. We went the night before Valentines Day to beat the crowd. There was no special menu to recognize the occasion which was disappointing but the menu is always good which is comforting. I had the Fiocchi pasta which was fresh and delicious. My wife had the grilled Jumbo Shrimp which she said was a little dry. The bread was very good but I'm surprised it has to come all the way from NJ when there are so many local notable bakeries. I had my favorite dessert, Tiramisu, and I wasn't disappointed. Again, it would have been nice to have a special VD dessert as an option. Our service was excellent. I will be back.

Had a lovely dinner for 5. We were given a beautiful table in the front window and a very attentive and professional waiter. From appetizers to pasta to entrees, everything was wonderful. The carnivore in our group ordered the steak which was generously portioned and cooked to his perfection. Wine list is extensive and interesting. We felt very well taken care of and had a wonderful evening!!!

The food and service was awesome. We had a wonderful time. The grilled salmon and tuna entrees were delectable. Lauren was our server and she was delightful and full of knowledge from the food menu to the wine list. My date is from Cuba and the added touch was when the owner came and made a connection with him by speaking in Spanish as well as talking with him about the sites in Spain. We love Cafe Luna. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

We enjoy coming back to the bustling and romantic ambiance of Caffe Luna, a landmark Raleigh restaurant. Service is very attentive and the food is delicious. I especially recommend the seafood pasta dishes. Fresh ingredients, well prepared, generous portions, reasonably priced, great location. What more could you want?

This is a cute casual setting with very average Italian food. I would not think of this as a date place as it is very bright inside and noisy .
Our waitress was not overly friendly and the food was just ok .
Much better places for Italian food .
The best thing about our experience was the price !

First time diner here and certainly not my last. Food was delicious and very freshly prepared. Pricing of every entrée was very reasonable and service was great. Especially enjoyed the fact that we did not feel rushed at all. Highly recommend this restaurant. Owner came around and checked in on every table.

Very pleasant meal served promptly. The manager came by and gave us special attention on the wine suggesting a better option pairing for what we had in mind than what we had selected from their wine list. He said it was a better pairing - and - it was less expensive.

We decided to check out this place during restaurant week. Food was OK, for the discounted, set menu price. Bread was from yesterday though. Service was great, however. We don't plan to go back, as there are plenty of other Italian restaurants around that are much better.

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday. I had been excited for a while to try out Caffe Luna, yet I was extremely disappointed. The service was good, but for the price the food was lacking. I seriously think I have had better food at Olive Garden, which is saying a lot. I was expecting phenomenal food with a phenomenal atmosphere, yet both were very underwhelming. We requested a "romantic" table and we were seated in a dark corner of the large dining room that was poorly lit and right beside the emergency exit. We were referred to our waiter as "kids" who was not much older than us, which was irritating. My boyfriend and I are both 21.
To be honest, nothing about this experience was romantic. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially those looking for a romantic splurge.

Caffe Luna is a gem. This long standing restaurant in downtown Raleigh never disappoints. The quality of the food is outstanding and the prices extremely reasonable. In addition the R Line downtown bus loop goes right by so it’s convenient for Duke Energy Center if you give yourself enough time. Well worth it.

Caffe Luna continues to be a perfect Raleigh lunch or dinner destination for any occasion.
We love it for many many reasons, including proximity to Duke Energy Concerts. The proprietor
and his son and family are perfect hosts and the kitchen and wait staff are exceptional. Luna always hits the highest marks. It is a pleasure to dine there.

We have been to Cafe Luna many times and our recent night out with friends did not disappoint. While there are many great items on the menu, my husband and I absolutely LOVE the tomato based sauces. Food was excellent, service was great, and the prices are reasonable. The ambience is also perfect and the atmosphere versatile. We would feel comfortable on a date night, with kids, casual or dressy, small or large groups. Can't wait to go back!
