Service and food were great! Only downside was no heaters and it was a bit windy and chilly, so I’d recommend going before the sun goes down or dress warmly!
This place is very cute and quaint. The outdoor seating could use some lighting and heat but they are just utilizing it due to the covid requirements. The waters are nice and the food is very good. I recommend it and am glad I found this place.
We had a wonderful experience. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The dishes were made with fresh ingredients and the clientele were sensitive to surrounding tables no loud guests.
We will be back
Great service, delicious home made pasta’s and food, a little gem!
A good night with friends for a birthday. Food was tasty. Service was decent and pricing as well. I would definitely return and would file this under “low key neighborhood dinner”.
The four of us all liked our dishes (3 of their pasta dishes, one delicious appetizer) very much. The service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is very pleasant, but tables are close together, and when you have loud neighbors, that might make conversation among 4 a little difficult. (We had a much better time when the neighboring table left.) Didn't try the dessert for lack of time, but will next time.
An excellent restaurant in all respects. I would recommend It to anyone.
Very random food, quite expensive. The service and staff were terrible. The waitress was very disrespectfull. I wont come back to this place!
Great neighborhood dinner restaurant! Food is great service awesome! Will be back!
The food was extraordinarily fresh with beautiful presentation and clear flavors. The service is friendly and attentive in a homey atmosphere. I plan to return.
This neighborhood gem is more than just a caffe -- the menu is comprehensive, with at least two specials each day. Everything is made to order and served by a charming waitstaff. Excellent wine list. Fabulous desserts. Go there, just do it!
Thank you for the wonderful dinner and warm hospitality, Eduardo. We loved every thing. lighiting, decor, food, wine, kindness and warmth.
I had dinner with 5 people and it was lovely. good service, fresh ingredients and nice ambiance.
I've waited to write this review, thinking that perhaps I should not. But the utter misery of my last visit here requires a review. I've dined here three times. Each time, my entree was the pan-seared skirt steak cutlets. The first dining experience was with a friend - the food was outstanding, the presentation was outstanding, and the service was outstanding. I even recommended the restaurant to friends, and they had good experience there. The second time was dining alone - the food was OK, the service was less than mediocore. The third time, I was taking a friend out for a birthday celebration, the service was abominable and the skirt steak so rancid tasting, that I can still sense the horrible taste in my mouth. In addition, we had ordered, as usual, six crostini, which never came. When the entrees came, I asked the maitre d cum waiter what happened to the crostini and he did not remember taking the order. He then just threw the crostini menu on the table without apology. We had also ordered two antipasti, the Baked Radicchio & Pear Wrapped in Prosciutto, Topped with Arugula & Goat Cheese and Parma Prosciutto, Salame, Porchetta, Gorgonzola, Parmigiano & Castelvetrano Olives- they both arrived in two large mounds that lacked even the presentation that one can find in an army mess hall. I have never had meat that tasted as bed as the skirt steak. As it was my friend's birthday dinner, and he did not want a fuss, I did not complain at the time and the maitre d' cum waiter, apparently did not care to address any problems. I think this was the most horrible dining experience in my life.
We usually come here for breakfast, and it was our first time for dinner. It's really sweet, unpretentious and tasty! Looking forward to the next time!
Lovely neighborhood spot
Really enjoyed food and small cafe feeling
We’ll be back
Our best meal over 3 days in San Francisco. We were so fortunate to find this gem of a neighborhood cafe.
Nice neighborhood restaurant. Modest size and menu, friendly, quiet, comfortable.
Always tasty especially the bread and olive oil. I always get the clams. Yum
A neighborhood gem – always satisfying
Our entire dinner party loved their entree. The suggested wine was fantastic. We all agreed we would come here again.
Felt family owned and personal in that way. The prices were very reasonable. The pacing of the service was quite relaxed which gave ample time for conversation without interruption. It was quiet even when the restaurant got more crowded so we didn't have to yell across the table as one must in so many restaurants. The only thing I would change is I would have turned the heat up. It was a little chilly so that my partner never took off her coat. There's a fireplace that doesn't appear to work. Get that working and I'd be back weekly!
Have been here a bunch of times and always love it! It’s one of my favorite gems! Food is always fresh and delicious, not fussy. Never crowded, good service. Really great value.
Meat eaters and vegetarians have very tasty and well prepared options. Highly recommended.
Excellent local restaurant. The house made pastas and cannoli are fantastic. The crostini menu would be fun to have just with that and a bottle of wine. Friendly service good food. Everything you could want from a local spot.
Nice neighborhood option...we walk to it.
We went here for dinner and had a wonderful meal, truly some of the best pasta I've had in ages, and I live right by Flour + Water). But the place has zero ambience at night--bright lights, quiet music. (I actually got up and dimmed the lights in our section to my friends' delight.) They've got the food down. If they can figure the other bit out this lovely little restaurant could be a real gem. Maybe it is during the day. I just wouldn't recommend it for dinner, if you like a ambience with your tortellini like I do.
A bit pricey Dishes we had were at best average. Nice owner and server though.
We had a wonderful meal!! Food was superb. Wine was delicious. Service was attentive. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. Can’t wait to go again!
