Great place for a chill and very affordable brunch but nothing fancy.
It was a great place and a quiet little spot in the neighborhood. The food and wine was exceptional as well. Definitely recommend.
Food was surprisingly well prepared and delicious. Staff were careful and followed COVID guidelines well.
I’m new to the neighborhood and I’ve found my go-to Italian spot. It has the comfort of and ambiance of a family place that does everything on the menu well. The staff was so friendly and you can tell they care deeply about the food they make
Great food and environment, especially considering all the issues caused by COVID
Great little spot. Casual but intimate at the same time. The food was delicious. They claim to have the “best” cheesecake, and it really is!
The owner was our server for dinner. Super attentive, accommodating and kind. Everything on the menu is homemade so you really cannot go wrong with any dish. He generously gave us some aperitif and dessert on the house. I would come back for the lemon ricotta cheesecake ALONE. Squisito!
Food always good. Intimate spot for a date or dinner with friends.
A cozy neighborhood place to dine before BAM. Owner really attentive. Feels like an old school Italian restaurant in nyc but with much more authentic and creative food. Would definitely go back.
Really liked this place! Great service. Kind of a hidden/hole in the wall feel. Really good pasta.
Lovely, old fashioned local restaurant in Fort Greene. Crowded (good for them!) for pre performance meals and a bit noisy but friendly and personal. I hope it stays for many more years.
Wonderful professional and delicious cozy dining experience. Loved the atmosphere and cuisine
Everything was extremely mediocre. Food was bland. Wild mushrooms from menu turned out to be regular supermarket ones.
Awesome little place! Great food and great atmosphere! Would recommend!
This is by far one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve eaten in. The food was all homemade and delicious. From the antipasto to spinach soufflé to amazing meatballs to flavorful salmon, it was great. To top it off, the cheesecake for dessert was the best. The service was exceptional. This small welcoming restaurant is a must. Everything yummy. Can’t wait to go back!
This was a pleasant surprise! Quaint bistro type eatery with superb food and service.
I would definitely recommend having a meal here prior to any performance at BAM!
Really lovely experience!
This is a very good Italian restaurant near BAM and the Harvey theater. I made an early reservation before a show and enjoyed well prepared food and a glass of reasonably priced wine. The service was excellent. The prices are fair. They honored our reservation as soon as we walked in. It was difficult to converse because of the noise level which is a big deterrent to me. I don't think there are many better choices within a few minutes of BAM so I will likely return and try asking for a table in the back room. Maybe it's quieter.
Came here pre-theater. The pasta was delicious. Cozy atmosphere. Best ricotta cheesecake I’ve ever had.
Cozy Italian eatery with excellent food and an excellent wine suggestion obviously run by real Italians that care. Small dining room so call ahead for reservations.
An unexpected treat from a charming Italian restaurant. Met a colleague for lunch and we were able to have a leisurely conversation without background chatter. The waiter was terrific and helped with menu suggestions.
Le restaurant est cosy les serveurs très attentionnés et la nourriture très bonne
Really cool and ambient restaurant. Slightly over priced in regards to the food quality.
Caffe e Vino was the only place open last Christmas and the experience was so awesome we made a reservation this year. The polenta with veal stew was amazing. Marco, our server, was
This restaurant was a treasure on Christmas Day. Our waiter was friendly and made suggestions which were fabulous. We were not disappointed from appetizer to dessert. I have every intention in returning to restaurant in the future.
I had been to this restaurant before and was pleased with the service and ambience. This time, there was a large group with children who were left to run around the restaurant unsupervised. The door was left open (and it was cold) every time a person came in or out. I was charged $3.00 for a cup of hot water. The gratuity was added to the bill and we were a party of two. I doubt that I will return.
Absolutely amazing food.
Freshly made pasta was unbelievable.
Met a friend/colleague there for lunch.
Perfect volume for conversation.
Only criticism is the decor/ambiance is dated.
SO glad that I tried it!!!
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant downtown. Great food, service, and atmosphere. We enjoyed the mussels, gorgonzola salad, and pasta special with pancetta, tomatoes, arugula, and basil in a light broth. All paired with a nice Montepulciano. Too bad we didn't save room for dessert!
This is always a great choice before BAM or TFANA. Great food, welcoming atmosphere.
Good food and cozy atmosphere. Was slow and the waiter added 20% gratuity to our check for 4 people without telling us so watch for that. Food was good but nothing amazing.
This restaurant should be listed as one of Brooklyn's hidden gems. The service is "right on." It is attentive without being overbearing. The food is always delicious. My favorite is the fried calamari appetizer and the branzino. It's also one of the few places where good wine is reasonably priced. I always make it a point to bring people whose company I enjoy. They are always appreciative. I've never found a problem with finding street parking and, if it were necessary, there is a parking lot diagonally across the street.
we were easily able to get a table for 7 people. They were out of the wine we wanted and recommended a different wine that was served too warm. They also charged us for the wrong bottle. This place is cash only and gratuity was include (probably because of our group size) so be prepared for that. Otherwise, the food was good though the portion size was on the smaller side for their price points.
Good cozy Italian restaurant.
This is our favorite place to go for dinner before a show at BAM. Very nice and friendly service. The food is very good.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. I live in Manhattan but come here often for Italian food. Everything is fabulous but don’t forget the very different and wonderful cheesecake!
We were a party of 7 so we were seated in the back room, which was really nice. We found the food was delivered at just the right pace for a social evening with friends. The food was enjoyable, we did lots of sharing ("oh - you have to taste this! no, taste this first!). All in all a great evening. :)
My only complaint, if you can even call it that, was they ran out of chocolate mousse before we ordered dessert. BUT the cheesecake was amazing and the apple dessert was delicious as well.
We enjoyed the food and the service was great. We were in a rush because we were headed to a concert and they were very fast.
Service is great and food is great! The small was a little awkward that specific day.
We have enjoyed eating here with family and friends for many years before BAM or TFNA. The spinach appetizer and bronzino this week were particularly delicious.
