I’ve been here hundreds of times during the Broadway season, and this was the first time I was unhappy. I ALWAYS request a booth and I was sat a a high table(which I hate) with other people. Not the best of nights
Good food. Good Service. But like most restaurants, too loud. We were a party of 7 so it was hard to hear everyone if they spoke.
The food was good but we felt it was a bit over priced for the food. Ambiance fine but not as nice as expected, old metal chairs not very comfortable.
Food was outstanding, best fish and chips every. Wait staff was good.
Loved the vibe and the food. Nice find in downtown Sacramento. The patio was beautiful.
We did arrive about 15 minutes early and they did not log me in to open table as arriving.
The server was great up until we asked about dessert. She dropped off the menu and never returned. After about 15 minutes we flagged her down for the check. We gad to leave for a show. She never asked about dessert! Also no one ever refilled our water glasses.
This was my second and last visit to this restaurant. The first time was also not great. Too bad because the location is great.
The worst meal and experience I have had here. The food was served cold all the fries were also cold. I’m not sure what happen but this was also the first time are friends were here and they won’t be coming back. This is one of are favorite places to eat but we won’t be back for some time.
Food was good... but not worth the price.
Great service. However, there were two managers always standing by out table in their phones texting. Very unprofessional. And yet neither made sure we were doIng well. Love the Ambience.
Amazing brunch, most places only offer a few different kinds of dishes for brunch but the menu is extensive and nearly everything we ordered was fantastic. Despite common misconception, you CAN eat here without a reservation...although the patio and the nicer tables require a reservation. Ambiance was a bit confusing, half looks like a dive bar and the other half looks like a normal family restaurant. Servers seemed frazzled both times we went and takes a while for food to come. Depending on your table location and the time of day it can be super loud and echoey and very hard to hear the people you are talking with.
We had wonderful service and delicious food! Even better than I expected on a very busy Friday night - I was impressed!
We always expect excellence here. And tonite expectations were met.
Seated right away. Food served hot and promptly. Very
Amazing atmosphere and great comfort food options! We had great service and LOVED the place!
A bit overpriced but good. I prefer the regular lunch menu rather than the Mothers Day brunch menu. After I requested we sat in a good spot. Good lunch place.
We have dined at the Cafeteria many times including special occasions (Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day) for brunch. This occasion was a Mother's Day. It was extremely busy, which we expected. What we did not expect was the extremely poor service. We were seated in a room with numerous long banquet tables. We had to look at these tables which were left with dirty dishes long after then parties had left. We had no place settings at our table and also had a very long wait before a server came over. The food was brought out haphazardly (we had a party of 6) resulting in cold food while we waited for all of us to receive our orders. Even then we had to ask for silverware and I ended up having to get salt and pepper myself because our server was not to be found. Our experience on this Mother's Day came be summed up with my wife's comment to me that we don't have to come here for Mother's Day again. It was a way to celebrate Mother's Day.
I've been wanting to try this place for awhile now, luckily, I was able to get a last minute reservation for 6 on a Saturday night for an early Mother's Day dinner. We were seated right away, which was nice.
We started off with the truffle tator tots and fried brussel sprouts. These were suppose to be our appetizers, but they both came out AFTER our entrees. Our waitress apologized and said there must've been a 'glitch' when she put in the order. Whatever. They were both just okay, nothing special.
I ended up getting the braised beef short rib, and while the meat was very tender, I found the dish to be a little bland. Would probably not get it again. My son got a bacon cheeseburger which he loved, although his patty was more rare than I would like (I ordered it medium and it came more like medium rare almost a little too rare). Just glad he didn't get sick. My oldest son got the fish and chips, which he must've enjoyed because he inhaled his meal. My husband ordered the Hawaiian ribeye, which was supposed to be medium rare, but came out more medium. Hmm, maybe another 'glitch'? He said it was good. My sister-in-law got the French dip and said it was tasty. Last but not least, my mother-in-law got the roasted chicken and both her and my oldest son said they liked it a lot (she couldn't finish it so my son helped her out). We tried the banana cream pie for the dessert, and again, nothing special, but it was good.
Not sure if we'd come back for dinner, but maybe one day would like to try brunch here.
Service was great, food was amazing and price was right!!
Our reservation was for 4:00 and they seated us at 4:30, party of 11.
Mother’s Day brunch. None of us in the party had been here before but we will definitely be returning. The food was delish and the restaurant has such an awesome vibe. Requested outdoor seating but due to the size of our party (10) they didn’t have anything to accommodate us but the indoor seating is so cute as well! The decor is industrial yet modern. Overall amaze!
The food was amazing!!!
Good Food and nice atmosphere, but super slow service.
First time. Amazing service and the food was terrific. Will go again and again.
This was the first time I had come here for brunch and it will definitely be my last. I had a reservation, but they were not ready for us until 20 minutes after the reservation time. Then we sat there for about 25 minutes before any servers came to the table. The staff was in a hurry, the girl took most of our tables drink order and then left. The rest of us waited till she came back to finish ordering. The food was disappointing, since one persons came out cold, and another came out completely burnt. We pointed this out to the server, but no remedies were offered just an apology. We pointed this out right after the food came to the table. Then while we were talking she cleaned off the table and took an almost completely uneaten meal without checking first and disposed of it. We ended up leaving here and having to go to another restaurant to actually eat. It was a disappointment, especially since it was a birthday brunch for my brother and some of the people had driven a couple hours for this.
Possibly the smoothest and most attentive patronage I ever had for a brunch.
Fair prices. Attentive service. Delicious food. What more could you want?
Came here for date night and had a great experience. The ambiance was lovely and the signature drinks were delicious.
Staff was great! Very patient and welcoming. Food was great and come out very fast even thought it was busy. The drinks were delicious
Our waitress was very nice and served us well
Love this place! Outstanding service by hustling wait staff, excellent food, extensive menu at very good prices, can handle groups of various sizes.
Our "go to" lunch place while in Sac. Gluten free bins or sandwich bread would be a nice accommodation.
Favorite place in Sacramento to eat and spend time with friends
I love Cafeteria 15L... but this last dinner was not a good experience. My Fiancé and I sat on the Patio and were ignored by our waitress for 20+ minutes while she took orders, served food and cocktails to the other tables around us. I couldn't even make eye contact with her, it was like she was pretending we were not there. It was baffling. I finally got fed up and went to the bar to order our drinks. The waitress came in and saw me paying for the drinks, but said nothing. I asked to be moved to another table inside. I expected the hostess would have communicated that I was unhappy and why to the manager, but the manager never came by. This type of experience leaves me with a bad impression of Cafeteria 15L.
Beer was tasty.macaroni came out sizzling, was delicious. Chicken and waffles were great, however the chicken was a bit too crispy and dry.
Had the prime rib sandwich, real prime rib not shaved Beef, would definitely have that again .
Wasn't super impressed with the bottomless mimosas. They were mostly orange juice. The food was okay but not the best.
It was a great brunch restaurant! We went on a Saturday morning and I'm glad we made reservations. Very popular, great food, and fun atmosphere! Parking kinda sucks is all.
Our meals were spot on. Chicken Cobb salad and the Border burger mmmm!
Service was friendly and responsive and the food was very good. Restaurant noise level was high and made business conversation tuff. Price was average and a good value
This is our favorite place to celebrate special occasions. Food and service are always great.
With the expectation of our waitress not informing us of last call, we love everything about this restaurant!
