Eggs were under-cooked, bacon burnt!
Service was s-l-o-w!
Cafe Zola is a great spot. Their all-day Brunch menu is outstanding and makes it a most enjoyable dining experience. Our server, Sara, was absolutely fabulous. We will definitely return many more times.
A wonderful gem in the middle of downtown Ann Arbor. The menu has been kept to be intriguing to try. Services are up to par.
Clair our sever was wonderful!
I had a few questions about an entree choice, she was spot on about describing preparation details. The food was excellent. Healthy portion and amazing tastes. I highly recommend Cafe' Zola for lunch or dinner. Great menu and fabulous atmosphere!
Nice outdoor seating with heaters made for a very nice night. Our server was really good
This is my favorite restaurant for Brunch in Ann Arbor!
$17 for 2 eggs, 1/2 cup potatoes, some untrimmed peppers. I felt ill until 3:00 AM. Ice cold butter that’s somehow supposed to be spread on toast. The only thing that was good was the coffee. Server did not know the menu and couldn’t advise.
Half of our group’s food was excellent, the other half was fair. Wonderful ambience eating outdoors which was so nice. Service was fair at best. I have been before and had all wonderful food and service, so considering this a fluke. We would go back for sure.
Very overpriced for breakfast. Prices have increased significantly since my last visit
Met a friend, had a table inside. Felt very Covid safe. Plenty of distance between tables. Went at off time, late afternoon, and had great service. Shrimp tacos very good, crab cakes not as good. Delish latte with oat milk. Yum
For the third time in 18 months, we were warned, when we arrived, that they were short staffed. Indeed, we waited 40 minutes just for drinks to arrive. Waitstaff not really friendly, didn’t acknowledge the long wait, especially troubling since it was outside and freezing cold. I recognize the difficulty of staffing, and paying for waitstaff, during COVID, but this issue predates COVID. Also, having been a server at a busy restaurant in the past, I know how grueling the work can be. But, on the flip side, this was the first time my husband and I went to eat our since COVID started. It was his birthday and meant to be a special and significant event. Our server was unfriendly. It was really a let down.
The "All Day Brunch" menu is a great idea with several great dishes. We chose one from that side of the ledger and one from the main dinner menu. Both were absolutely delicious. What made the visit especially enjoyable was our outstanding server, Sara. She was personable, helpful, and wonderfully efficient. All in all, it was an excellent time at Cafe Zola. I would definitely recommend it (and Sara!) to anyone.
Very nice drink menu. Food was very tasty and the service was attentive but not overbearing.
The food was good, but the service was awful. It took at least 10-15 minutes for our waitress to even come over and take our drink order, then the same service pattern continued all night. End of the night when she finally brought us our bill, she didn't come back to cash us out. After about 10-15 minutes we just walked in to pay. Then it took about another 5 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us. Quite disappointing!!
WE were outdoors and had a lovely evening with good food, wine and service. It was a place we will return to.
My experience was wonderful! There bees around but it came in the territory.
I know things are slow due to COVID however it took us close to an hour to get our food and people that were sat after us for their food before us. This is unlike them. Normally the service is fast and correct.
Farmhouse omelet was terrible
Service was poor
Crazy expensive for what you get
Way better value at Sava or Jagged Fork
An Ann Arbor standard, Cafe Zola, has an excellent with small and large plates and lots of variety. I really like the atmosphere inside and out.
The usual excellent food. We ate outside in the area Ann Arbor has designated for outside dining. Plenty of room. Great weather. Great conversations with the owners. A fine way to celebrate an anniversary.
After reading prior reviews, I was very surprised by my negative experience. Overpriced for the amount, presentation, and quality of food. Slow service. Orders were not brought out complete. No coffee refill, despite delayed food service and cooler ambient temperature outdoors. Probably will not return.
Cafe Zola is always an excellent brunch place. They have a nice variety of egg, salad, and baked dishes. They have an excellent variety of specialty cocktails. The service is a little hit or miss though depending on the crowds.
Great food and friendly service. Had breakfast and dinner during our visit to Ann Arbor.
Excellent, delicious food and great service! Love this place!
It was a great dinner after move in day
Lovely evening outside at Cafe Zola! Food was fabulous server sweet and wine well priced! A great last night with my daughter a student at UM TY!
Service is really slow. We got seated immediately because we came early for lunch and had a reservation. It took 2.5 hours for the entire lunch. The server forgot about us a few times. It took 1 hour for our ice cream to come out. We wished we hadn't asked for desert. They don't enforce mask-wearing while walking around the outdoor seating area.
Everything was perfect. Had our table ready, food and service great. !
Excellent foods and service as always! Thank you
Our favorite breakfast spot in Ann Arbor-
Everything was great. I wish the city would close the streets everyday and not just the weekend for dining. Eating outside is really nice.
FABULOUS food.. great quality ingredients - exceptional service! It's a Sunday favorite
Food was nice portions. It was nice to sit outside
Wait for food was too long
Love the physical distancing solution of downtown Ann Arbor. Tables in the street—brilliant!
Pretty expensive compared to the value and quality of food. Also service was incredibly slow and and took almost 2 hours for a small table
Safe, delicious, relaxing what more could we ask?! Sitting outside, with little street traffic, attentively served great food and mixed drinks my grown daughters and I had the most special evening. We shared small plates and main courses that were inventive and flavorful. Neither of my daughters had ever had dinner at Cafe Zola and were pleasantly surprised at the diverse gourmet menu based on fresh ingredients. Best new dish were the fried eggs with shishido peppers and potatoes! Best standard dish was the mussels with chorizo.
The food and cocktails tasted good per usual but definitely would only go there for brunch as the price for dinner menu was a little overpriced even for salad and the add-on for protein was over $10.
It was great. Best eggs I have ever had
Very slow service outdoor seating is very uncomfortable the food was good
