Excellent European Brunch with Omlet, Croissants, Fruits, Salad, Bagels. Great coffee
Service was terrible
Three ladies busy but not with us!
Asked time and time again for same thing
Pay attention to customers
Delicious omelette! Best one I’ve had in Princeton. Plan on hanging out for a while. Felt European
Wonderful cafe. Very different from Small World. Quiet, good atmosphere, great coffee and pastry, excellent lunch menu, fabulous service. Welcoming.
Great sausage/egg omelette, authentic austrian baked goods, and good coffee
We enjoyed a wonderful Mother's Day brunch. The food was delicious and the service friendly and helpful. I had the soup and panini. YUM! For desert we shared a Chocolate cheese cake with esspresso. Perfect spot for causal conversation and a light lunch/brunch
Beware that for brunch , only the dishes covered with plastic wrap are included , those under glass lids come as extra and you’d discover this at check time only ! Owner tends to be rough and push customers out for next wave even when no line, and waiters picked my plate up twice while I wasn’t finished and didn’t even ask, first time I stopped them grabbing my plate, second time I let it go... otherwise decent food good bread good fruits good danish , cheese on the Germanic side, limited savory options outside eggs . (If prefer scrambled eggs from real eggs than from a mix or a strange cooking method though)
Nice small place so relatively cosy
This place is great!!! Loved it. We will be back. Great atmosphere, owner is a doll and the brunch was delightful!!
We arrived a little after 1 pm & were told it would be a 10 minute wait. We asked that they hold the table for us while we went next door to make a quick purchase. We returned in less than 10 minutes & found the table occupied with another party!! Hostess didn't care at all. Then we made a reservation on open table & waited another 20 minutes. Finally we were seated & immediately ordered 2 omelettes only to be told they were no longer serving omelettes !!!#%+!! We waited for omelettes!!It was only a little after 2; they are open until 3 pm. We walked out! The owner is lovely but the help is RUDE!! It will be a long time before we go back and hopefully on the hostess's day off!
The food was decent. The menus were essentially just laminated paper, which is not okay. Basically got told to leave because another reservation was coming in. What’s the point of a reservation if you will get rushed out?
I came here for the European Brunch and it reminds me of being on vacation. A very nice spread with meats, cheeses, breads, fresh orange juice, and tons of fresh fruit. There were even some finger size pastries and an omelette station front and center.
Not sure about some of the negative reviews I read prior to dining. Service was attentive without being intrusive and the brunch was very reasonably priced considering I’ve paid a lot more for a lot less at five star hotels and resorts.
Can’t wait to be back!
Feels like we are back in Germany or Austria at a typical European Cafe. As in Europe, relaxed atmosphere, Excellent coffee and cappuccino, and fresh ingredients. We appreciate the ample portions , moderately priced. Surprised at the number of gluten-free selections. Lovely spot !
The service was abysmal. I had a reservation @ 10 am for brunch and no one greeted me when I came in. Once our omelette (my husband & I) were served, our toast took a 10 minutes to arrived. Our server didn’t refill any of our water. I will NOT come back nor recommend this place to anyone.
Everything was delicious and it was fun to try new dished and pastries
not enough room. uncomfortable seating and small tables. should have gotten sausage with buffet (only genoa salami). did not know they had bacon with omelette.
I would go back for the vienna chocolate cake and anything you can only get in vienna.
Good place to grab something to eat or meet friends for cup of coffee. Only problem is business hours. I didn't check and they open till 3 P.M. on Sunday.
My family was disappointed. The restaurant note on Open Table specifically stated for Christmas Eve the restaurant was offering the European Buffet until 4pm. I made a reservation for 2pm. We arrived prior to the reservation and were seated immediately, there was a single other diner in the place. The server was initially polite and took our beverage orders but was then on her phone. After a while I got her attention and asked her if we could have the buffet to which she told us they stopped serving the buffet at 1:30pm and indicated they were closing at 2pm. I was incredulous considering the reservation is for 2pm so how could that be? She then corrected herself and said they were closing at 4pm. I mentioned the Open Table site stating the buffet would be through 4pm - she did apologize for the confusion and said she was unaware of what was posted there but the staff was told by the owner they were closing early. Very frustrating as we specifically chose this spot to try the buffet. We paid for our beverages and left.
Excellent food. It would be better if they have more regular tables. Their tables are all tall
We had a 5:45 reservation, showed up and it was closing. Website said open until 7:00 so not sure what happened. We love the food so will have to come back for breakfast or lunch.
We came here after WCC's beautiful afternoon Readings and Carols. Loved the paninis! And the tortes and coffee! Excellent service and it was quite enough that we could talk comfortably. Highly recommended!
soooo happy we found this little gem via Open Table! Spent a lovely November Saturday enjoying yummy food, healthy but tasty options, and enjoyed people watching as we chatted. Small, intimate, was ideal place for a friendly business brunch with no pretense. The hostess and staff were awesome. We later Strolled and shopped #SmallBusinessSaturday down Nassau Street along Princeton University. Well worth the Hour + trip, thank you!
PS remember to feed the parking meter, even on Saturdays. Bring your quarters!
A perfect place for Sunday brunch with friends: not too crowded or noisy, nice omelets and good coffee. The brunch buffet , which one of us ordered, could have had more bread and pastry choices, and it curved around the pastry case so that we did not see half of it and no one directed us to all the offerings. However, Cafe Vienna beats standing in line at other places, and we all enjoyed it and would return. Note that it is at the far north end of Nassau Street.
Great brunch spot in Princeton and personal favorite. Modern cozy atmosphere with great outdoor seasonal seating. No long lines for mediocre food. This is the breakfast/brunch spot in Princeton. Cakes are delicious too!
The food was tasty and the service was fine. I would go back but maybe not on Sunday because it was too crowded and noisy.
Excellent service. Food is amazing!! I go every Sunday to have brunch
There is no doubt that the coffee /cappuccino selections are great BUT the staff seemed totally overwhelmed. Despite making our order ( hot beverages only.. no food involved) as soon as we sat down we waited well over 20 mins to have our order delivered (and that was only because after 20 mins ,we actively pursued a sever to explain that we had not yet received our order) The noise level was high and made it hard to have a quiet conversation with friends on a Friday afternoon! 🙁
Everything in this place is amazing. Value of the food comparing with what you pay is excellent.
Every meal is enjoyable and delicious at Café Vienna....Even if you just have coffee and a pastry. Be sure to make a reservation. Hard to get seats. Reserve even if it is for coffee.
Very nice lunch. I had the chicken panini lunch special. It was tasty but there wasn't much to it. I think for what you get, it was a little overpriced. But I would go there to try different items because the food was tasty, the service friendly, and the atmosphere welcoming. Also, it's right next door to a cool homeopathic pharmacy, so we went there for chocolate after!
Great place with great peuple ! Love the brunch... Best value in town with a good quality !
Yum! Delicious omelette and salad
Nice place - delicious desserts. Genuinely good coffee.
Enjoyed the food. Nice choices on the European brunch. Good value! Service poor. Staff friendly but they need to be more attentive.
Went to Caffe Vienna for the first time today for Mother's Day, but it won't be the last! There was a small buffet with wonderful fruit and bread, cheeses, cereal, cookies, chocolate dipped strawberries, and brownie-like (but better) bites. I loved the brownie bites, which had a hint of almond! The omelets were tasty, as well, and the price was $15 per person, which is a great deal. Coffee (extra charge) was really good and served in large mugs.
This is a small space but has outdoor seating, as well, and it was booked today, so several people were turned away. The owner was terrific, very friendly and came several times to ask if everything was Ok and to thank us for coming. We will definitely be back, maybe for brunch, maybe just to try some of the delicious-looking desserts with coffee one afternoon!
This coffee house has a wonderful Sunday brunch. We were there for Mother's Day.
Awful! Avoid. Service is the worst, food below average. Not worth your time.
I was a bit disappointed with Café Vienna. I made a 12:30 reservation for 5 on a Saturday afternoon. It was a very rainy day, so by the time the entire party found parking and was seated, it was 12:45 when we placed our order. Entrees came out, except for mine. Waiter mistakenly forgot to place my order. No big deal. At 1:15, while in the middle of eating our entrees, our waiter comes to tell us they are expecting another reservation for 5 at 1:30 and we would have to move to another table. What the heck?? So for the remainder of our meal, we felt we were being watched with eagle eyes so our dishes could be whisked right away in order to turn over our table. And we like dessert, it was a bakery for goodness sake. The big question for Café Vienna is if they had the space to move my reserved table to another one, why not just sit the 1:30 reservation at that table. We weren't a walk-in. I had made reservations close to two weeks prior.
We went for Easter Brunch for the second time, this year. We sat and lingered over coffee for an hour after our meal. No one pressured us to leave. It was memorable!
Excellent food. Friendly staff. Slow service.
The staff at the restaurant were attentive all our particular desires. My wife ordered a special combination of salmon and fresh fruit and vegetables. My son and I each order omelettes, both delicious and delicately prepared and presented. I had the salmon and goat cheese omelette , and he had the chorizzo omelette. The coffee was superb! One other son was disappointed that they did not have bacon.
It is a elegant place to have just the right size lunch.
