Service and food was wonderful plus piano music! We took a friend to dinner and had a lovely evening
Amazing food and service!!!
A most excellent meal, with the best lamb chops were the best ever.
Food & Service were wonderful. Very welcoming from the moment we walked in the door. Atmosphere is great for a date night. Noise level can be high from larger groups depending on where you sit so request a quiet table if you enjoy a romantic Italian dinner like me.
Restaurant was fairly empty. However there was a man in the bar singing and I believe playing the piano. He was not very good. That was tolerable until they started singing happy birthday to someone and then it seemed like it turned into karaoke. Some girl went up there singing and it was awful. This is an expensive restaurant and I would not expect to have that type of ambience. It was unacceptable. Service was not that great. My husbands food came out with cheese even though he has an allergy and we told the server repeatedly that he can’t have cheese. But the singing really loud in the bar and then on the speakers going throughout the whole restaurant was horrible. At this price range it was not acceptable. Will not go back.
Owner greeted us at the door. He was very friendly and inviting. Service was great! Food was delicious. Everyone their meals. Menu has a variety of food. We will be be back and high recommend.
Food and service were excellent, will definitely go there again in the near future.
Very good food and excellent service. I recommend it.
Food was absolutely fantastic and it was just like being back in New York.
This place is amazing. The food superb, and the atmosphere is in tune with the sights and feel of Italy. We eat here all the time, and love it!
Excellent cuisine! They advertise having the best lasagna in Fort Lauderdale, I truly believe that they do. The grilled octopus & fried calamari dishes were some of the best I’ve had. The veal scallopini piccata was divine. This was the second time I have a veal dish from Cafe Vico. The first was on a take out order for veal Saltimboca which was also amazing. Great service with a classic Italian restaurant look.
I’ve never had a bad experience dining at Cafe Vico. The food is always absolutely delicious. The staff is attentive and very personable. We’ve brought friends and family to dine at Cafe Vico. They have all truly enjoyed their dinning experience there.
As usual Marco was extremely kind and chatted with us quite a bit. We have been going there since it was called Cafe Retornó in 1993. It’s always good and the food keeps getting better and better. The staff was amazing, always there to make sure everything was great. We are always treated like family and we can’t recommend the restaurant enough not just fir a special occasion but any time. Thank you Marco for keeping my photo there all these years and being such an amazing friend and host
Wonderful place! Great service, and amazing food!
Muy buenas pastas. Perfectas
The food was not great and not terrible. It seems that over the past few months, the quality has been going down. This means that the price point is no longer working since it is higher than other comparable Italian restaurants. It’s a shame because I’ve been a fan of this establishment. I have noticed a slight decline each time. The service was still spot on!
We picked Cafe Vico to try somewhere different and were happily pleased. The owner coming to our table definitely gave it a more personal touch.
Cafe Vico lived up to it's stellar reputation. The ambiance is very inviting, lively and friendly. The menu is varied and on point with great selections in seafood, pastas and meats. The specials are always a delight to regulars like me.
The Italian Pork Chop was recommended by Marco himself. It was delishly devoured by our guest!! I had the veal rollatini and it was a crowd pleaser as always.
My wife got the yellowtail as it is her favorite. It is always consistently excellent.
Our other guest ordered the black & white spaghettis with lobster, shrimp, fish, etc. WoWzA!! it was so much seafood!! She loved it and brought home the leftovers for lunch today.
I will return to Cafe Vico and am sure to have another great experience.
Cafe Vico was recommended to us by a friend, as we just moved here within the last 6 months. We haven't been able to try it out until yesterday, and I am sorry we didn't get there sooner. It is hands down the best restaurant we've been to in Ft Lauderdale! We are going back on Friday with friends!
The food and service couldn't have been better! The four of us were entirely pleased with our experience at Cafe Vico and look forward to coming back again soon.
The only negative I can think of is that the prices are a little high. Otherwise, the food was excellent and the service was attentive and quick. Our waiter checked in with us numerous times and our food, drinks and dessert came in record time without feeling rushed at all. Definitely a restaurant to put in your rotation.
Delicious Italian meal, starts with warm fresh rolls and a robust garlic olive oil. Everything came out hot and fresh. The Caesar salad has great flavor, the lamb chops were cooked to perfection, the shrimp scampi was very good and the Ossobuco was amazing! Save room for dessert! The blueberry creme brulë was light and refreshing, the profiteroles were tasty and the chocolate brownie was scrumptious. The restaraunt is quaint and has great ambiance, the server was fantastic, they're friendly and efficient. We will definitely come back the next time we're in town.
This place reminded me of one of my favorite restaurants in Manhattan! We were immediately greeted as soon as we arrived. Went to the bar for a pre-dinner cocktail where the bartender was friendly and made an excellent Cosmo!
Dinner was amazing, waiter was attentive and knowledgeable on all the menu. I will definitely make this one of my very favorite places to dine.
Had a wonderful time!!!!!
I have been coming to this restaurant since it opened. They always do a good job.
The food was absolutely delicious. Service Incredibles. Beats any new York restaurant for italian food. Definitely will be back on next trip to Florida
Excellent experience. Service was great. Incredible food. Will definitely go back.
Food not good not fresh not cooked well. Multiple people on the party had serious digestion problem. Both meet & fish.
Pleasant place but No good food.
You will never go wrong with this restaurant when it comes to food. Always delicious food!
We heard about about this place from a friend and it did not disappoint! Being a New Yorker and eating Italian in Florida, it was absolutely fantastic. Cannot wait to come back.
Dinner was excellent! We went on a night that a hurricane was threatened for South Florida so there were not many other patrons. Ordinarily, Cafe Vico is rather noisy but because of reduced clientele we were able to dine quietly and comfortably indoors. As usual, the food was delicious as was the wine. The waiter was earnest and was trying hard but it was evident that he was not particularly experienced. This, I am sure was a result of the Covid employment situation and was certainly not the norm at Cafe Vico. All things considered, a wonderful dining experience.
Once again, a wonderful experience. We don’t live in Fort Lauderdale anymore, so we make it a point to eat here whenever we can. First time ever, hubby didn’t have the lasagna because there was a yellowtail snapper piccata special. He loved it. I had the chicken piccata, and it too was delicious - as big as the plate, nice and lemony. Both were served with mashed sweet potatoes, broccoli, and a side of pasta.
I was living out of town for a few years, and thought it would be a great place for a first date. Better than ever! Aside from the fact that they now have a Piano Bar, they out that they also have dancing.
Regarding the dining experience, great menu, food was delicious and the service has remained impeccable just as I remember it! Cannot wait to go back.
Great for dinner or any occasion
good food, good service .kind of hidden and need more exposure
As always the service was excellent!
Our server Ruendy was kind, patient, pleasant and attentive!
The food was exceptional!
Thank you to Marco Vico and to the entire staff!
Eating at Cafe Vico is like home!
We have read so many strong reviews and so we decided to try this place. We were so disappointed. Although our entrees were hot the accompanying sides were ice cold. If our waiter had check back we would have let him know, however other than offering the dessert menu, we never saw him. The place was noisy and our hopes were to bring some guests later in the month. That won’t happen and neither will we be back. Disappointed.
