If I could give the food a ten I would. This is real Italian food, made the way Italians make it. The mozzarella was the best I ever had in recent memory. My great grandmother use to go to little Italy in NYC for Mozzarella because she said people in CT didn't make it right and store bought was @#$%, the Capri salad was like she made. Same with the ravioli, clearly home made and just outstanding. The ambiance is lovely and the service was excellent. Highly recommend.
Alex was our server and deserves 10stars!
Visited during peak dinner time. Sat in booth in bar area. Best Lasagna I've ever eaten!! Great music from Suzy Howard. Owner onsite. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Just another great meal at Marco's Cafe Vico. This is a great place to dine, has a full bar and music some evenings. Marco added a VALET service but I am not sure if it was just for Valentine's Day.
It was very noisy because o a group of intoxicated men at the bar !
They raised the prices on feb 15
Unfair not Valentine’s Day and not listed on website
Food was very good as was service
I had THE BEST TIME on Valentine’s night! Wonderful and friendly staff. They were very accommodating. I enjoyed the drinks and food very much. The entertainment was amazing! Thank you.
have been to the restaurant many times. It was Valentines Day. The place was overrun! It was crowded and EXTREMELY noisy! We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation. At no time did we get rolls or bread, despite every table around us getting bread! We were not offered additional cheese on the entrees despite every table around us getting it!
The food was good, a limited menu for the evening. But the service was extremely lacking and the noise level was deafening!
Cafe Vico is one of my favorite restaurants in Fort Lauderdale and I frequent it every time I am visiting from NJ. Unfortunately, this visit was on Valentine's Day and they were extremely overbooked and everyone waiting was crammed in a tiny entrance way and were shoving and it was very dangerous. If the fire department came, they could've been shut down. I almost fell at one point and the staff were not apologizing for the overbooking. I would highly recommend the restaurant on any other night except a holiday as my parents had to wait an hour on NYE when they had a reservation.
Superb service, fun and romantic atmosphere with nice energy at the bar. And the food, the food, the food was just simply delicious ! Being Valentines Day, Cafe Vico was very busy....But boy did they handle it smoothly. The service was timely and cordial. Fantastic wine list at all different price points. The meals all were really good. Lasagna was out of this world that my friend's wife ordered. My veal rollatini was superb, moist and tender. My wife ordered the chicken ravioli with cherry sauce that melted in her mouth. Then dessert...how to chose.....? so we got the creme brulee to share! It was perfect!
Overall a good experience. Very loud and crowded but then again it was Valentines Day. I will est there again. God is excellent!
We enjoyed our Valentine's Day very much at your restaurant. Food was great service was friendly and what a wonderful night thank you.
We went to Cafe Vico for Valentine’s Day on a friend’s recommendation. I was hoping to get seated in the Piano bar area but I didn’t know about that area when I made the reservation. We sat in the main dining room which, unfortunately, did not have the piano bar music piped into it. I ordered the lasagna, which was amazing. My husband ordered the Chicken Marsala, which was a little tough in spots because it was pounded very thin. The not-tough parts were delicious. We ordered the Berry Cake for dessert which made us regret not ordering tiramisu! Overall, we liked the place and would go back again. Would definitely want to be seated in the Piano Bar next time!
after being seated we waited 10 min. for someone to take our drink order. he barely spoke English and got the drink order wrong. ( when the bill came we found out the rum and cokes were $13 each ) we have been coming here for years and it just seems the entrees are not as large as before. the sides are small too. but still very delicious. finally, to get the bill and pay it took almost 15 min.
a very busy holiday nights (Valentine's Day) - service was quite good - food excellent as always --
Simply outstanding! Called to indicate running late. Chef Vicci himself said they would figure it out (Valentine's Day). Served by his two sisters, which was great...entirely family run. Quality of food off the charts...fresh, cooked to order, great presentation. If you didn't know you were on Fed Hwy in FLL, it was Italy. Don't miss this one.
absolutely an amazing experience of Italian food. nice variety of dishes to choose from, including gluten free and whole wheat. everything prepared to perfection and the service was professional. would definitely like to come back!
They raised the prices for Valentine’s Day.
Food was very good but service was terrible. Waiter apologized for being away to long then disappeared again. To many other Italian options, most likely won't be back.
Bad service, lukewarm food, over salted
Great food and great service!
I have lived in Fort Lauderdale my whole life so I have reasonable expectations. We arrived in advance of our regular reservation. We had to fight our way to the hostess station only to be told that they would get to us soon. 10 minutes later we were told they’re very busy and we would have to wait and they would let us know about our table. We opted for the bar. We stood at the bar for 15 minutes without ever being asked what we would like to drink. We left and will not return.
Very busy restaurant but all the servers are superb! Service was excellent and food was delicious. It was a bit noisy but that’s because everyone wants to go there 😊
Extremely noisy. Could not have a normal 4 people conversation
Excellent food, great ambiance friendly and professional service! Highly recommend this restaurant...
Excellent authentic Italian cuisine. Highly recommend chicken parm. Eggplant appetizer was outstanding.
We always enjoy Cafe Vico and have been going there for 15? years. As it has grown, it has gotten louder!
The tables seem to be closer together. Saturday evening, there were six in our party. I asked for a quiet table. It was anything but. I think we were surrounded by people that were in the bar first, and I was hoping they would eat soon, but it didn't happen. Others in our group said it would be awhile before returning because of the noise level. I don't know the answer, but it didn't used to be that way. Our reservation was at 6 PM. I can't imagine the noise level as the evening went on!
Great food. Just like the Italian food in Bostons north end.
Good food and drinks are to be found at this nice Fort Lauderdale favorite. Though the real star of the show is their wonderful piano lounge . It could go a bit later - into - the - evening .
JACKSON, OUR SERVER WAS EXCELLENT. THE YELLOWTAIL SNAPPER PICCATA AND SALMON WERE FANTASTIC. THIS RESTAURANT IS TRULY A NEIGHBORHOOD GEM AND ONE OF THE BEST AUTHENTIC ITALIAN RESTAURANTS IN THE COUNTRY. MARCO, THE OWNER, MAINTAINS THE HIGHEST STANDARDS FROM FOOD TO SERVERS.
Ask for Ishmael or Giego. Two of the nicest and attentive servers in Fort Lauderdale!
The owner, Marco, greeted us and sat us at our table. He was very pleasant. The staff was courteous and attentive. The food was excellent. I have never been disappointed by Cafe Vico.
Food and ambiance are ALWAYS excellent. Service was a bit slow but seemed to be "short staffed" on the evening we went. Marco is a delight. Always greats us with a friendly and warm smile, handshake or hug. We just love this restaurant.
I love Café Vico. Our waiter could not have been better. But, the food quality seems to be going downhill at Café Vico. Was just there a few weeks ago and then again this week, and the food is not hot and it just doesn't have the quality it once was. I had Pasta Fagiolo the other night that had very few beans -- mostly water. The portion also is much smaller than it used to be. I used to love the rich flavor of this soup. My penne vodka was just ok -- the sauce was not as creamy and thick as it once was. Something is off in the kitchen. on both of the last visits, the food came out of the kitchen way too fast. clearly, nobody is doing any quality control in the kitchen.
Always a great time. And the food never disappoints.
Amazing as always... you’re treated like family here !
Perfect experience. Amazing food.
Although it came highly recommended and fit the description of classic Italian restaurant - it failed to deliver.
I made a reservation for 7:30 on a Thursday night for my wife’s 33rd birthday. Using Opentable to book, I noted this information.
Upon arriving it was pretty busy. There was no hostess and after about 5 mins the owner sat us at a two top in the back room.
Our server, Jackson, was quick to get our drink order, but when he discovered we would be having sparkling water and tea - it seemed like we became a non-priority. We don’t drink alcohol.
We ordered the special Barrata ($25) which was delicious. I ordered the Crab Ravioli and my wife ordered the Chicken Marsala. The Ravioli was delicious but very heavy. The Chicken was also delicious, but the sides were laughable. The broccoli was bland and no seasoning, and the whipped sweet potato was cold.
After finishing our meals, we waiting about 15 mins for our plates to be cleared and another 10-15 mins for the server to bring us dessert menus. At this point we considered leaving, but encouraged my wife we stay for dessert.
She ordered the Creme Brulee and to my surprise - no candle or song was sang. Meanwhile a table in the same room as us also celebrated a birthday song. They obviously did not read the reservation notes. The Creme Brulee was shameful, no fresh fruit or garnish on top, and what seemed to be only a couple of tiny blueberries inside the dish.
For $100+ dinner, this did not meet my expectations of Cafe Vico. I will not return, and I would not recommend it to my family or friends.
Everything we ordered was as good or better than expected. The service was a bit spotty but tolerable. The evening was pleasant enough until about six "energetic" individuals were seated two tables away. From that point on there was no conversation at our table without almost shouting at one another. When we asked our waiter if he could intervene it only got louder. Luckily we were ready to leave at that time anyway. We definitely will return but will choose our seating location in a more open area.
