Our menu represents both Northern and Southern Italian classics as well as a few new Chef inspired dishes.
I love Cafe Verona. I got the eggplant parmigiana and it was delicious. So was my cocktail, the tuaca mule, and the tiramisu! Highly recommend!
Was our granddaughters 2nd birthday party. Great evening. Food excellent, service even better. We will definitely be back.
Great Food, Great Service! Really enjoyed the atmosphere.
Must get the Tiramisu dessert! And bruschetta app!
Reasonable prices, nice choices kids menu and good service. A go to restaurant that can be a special occasion or everyday dining.
Food is outstanding, just would like better serve staff
Cafe Verona was a new experience for my husband and myself. Absolutely perfect for a date night! Our waitress was able to give us wonderful recommendations. I felt like the timing of all courses was perfect without feeling rushed. The bread course has unique herb flavor that pairs wonderfully with the pesto. We each had a side Cesar salad, and shared the Bruschetta and the Rustic Bowtie Pasta and left very full! Beautiful flavors for both. Make sure you try the Red Sangria, delicious!
I was in from out of town and saw this restaurant on the Independence, MO chamber of commerce travel website and it looked really nice.
We had a reservation and arrived early and they accommodated us and said we could be seated early.
The staff was great and very attentive, our Waitress was great (she went to school in Columbia, MO).
The food selection was great, we just got in at the happy hour time. The pick a pasta dish was hot until my last bite.
My food was wonderful and the portion was great, since we were traveling and did not have a way to warm up leftovers.
Everything was perfect, even the place where they sat us, it was all to itself.
I wish I had left some room for dessert, they looked great too!!!
Will definitely recommend if anyone is in the area and I will be back too.
Let me say first that the service was friendly and upbeat. The meals we had, however, were just ok. Hubby had the strip steak with gnocchi. His steak had a lot of gristle and the sauce didn't have a lot of flavor. I had the salmon with gnocchi. The salmon was cooked well but, again, there wasn't a lot of flavor in the sauce or the remainder of the meal.
If you like milder flavors in your dishes, you might enjoy this spot. If you're the type, "the more garlic, the better", you will likely leave feeling unsatisfied.
The food was marginal as the pasta was not hot, the bread was stale and the salad was limp and not fresh. The lemon dessert was excellent. Very nice waitress but based on this experience, I would not go back. Sorry I cannot be more positive.
Great experience! We went to Cafe Verona for a Homecoming Date! The food and service was great. Server was very polite and nice.
We loved it! Try the Sicilian Artichoke Dip, Chicken Parmesan and the Lemon Berry Cake (ohmygosh - SO good!!). This was our first time. The restaurant is charming - both inside and the patio. Our server was great. I'm sure we'll be back again.
Always a great experience and great food. I love that we have such a special restaurant in my home town.
This is one of my wife's favorite restaurants in Independence, MO. We almost always have a terrific evening out there. This time it was a little less than it has been previously.
The Food is exquisite. The menu is easy to follow and understand. The staff are very friendly as well.
My son chose Cafe Verona to celebrate his birthday, as a place he enjoyed several years ago. We were very disappointed in the decline in the food quality. Chicken Parm was more breading than dry chicken. The Lemon Shrimp pasta was bright yellow, artificially colored and tasteless. Lasagna was subpar as well. Drinks and bread were good. Server did not refill water without asking. Fortunately the manager adjusted the bill, but the evening was still a disappointment.
Our son was here visiting us from Denver, and we wanted to eat out at a restaurant with excellent food, excellent Servers, and with a quiet atmosphere for conversation. We were seated at the booth at the far North End of the room, and it was perfect for conversation. My wife had the Salmon Semplice, while our son and I had the Lasagna. All of the food was excellent, and we had ample amounts to take home for another meal. Our Server was Zoey G. and she was Outstanding. We could not have asked for a better evening. Thank you so much for having everything perfect at Cafe Verona, Cindy, the Owner.
Better than Olive Garden, but not a good as Garozzos.
Food was excellent, ambiance was excellent. The only thing was having to ask for bread a couple of times, but there could have been many reasons for that. Will definitely be back.
My husband and I went to Cafe Verona for a much needed date night. Everyone was so nice and pleasant. Service was amazing and the food was amazing! I've told all my coworkers this is a must try. We will most definitely be back.
Great service was prompt on seating. Food was delicious and the drinks were amazing. Highly recommend.
Hadn’t been there in years but in laws alway took us with them or they frequently ate there with dinner club folks. Excellent food!
Absolutely delicious. Broad menu selection. Service some of the best. Will definitely be back.
We had lasagna and rustico - both were delicious! Great value for the money. Service was well timed even with a busy crowd.
This was my first time there. I made reservations during Santa Caligon Days and they called to ensure I knew it was going on. When we arrived the service was great and the food was amazing!
Despite a promising menu, the food was disappointing. The chef seems to like to cook heavy on the butter and cream, unlike anything I have ever eaten anywhere in Italy. My husband and I were very disappointed.
One very bright spot was our server, Sam. She was sweet and couldn't do enough for us Thank you Sam.
Great food and service.
We had an excellent meal at Cafe Verona. We all ordered something different, and each said it was excellent. They have a varied menu that provides something for everyone, and the chef will accommodate dietary needs. It was fairly quiet while we were there because there wasn't a lot of dinner traffic, and I don't know why. It's a great place to eat.
When first started coming, was great food and great service. Really had gone downhill. Food was cold and bland. Even the waitress said it didn’t look appetizing, but served it anyway. Sad.
We love this place. Charming atmosphere, we can always get a decent bottle of wine, and the food is great.
Took my mom out for a mother daughter date. It was her first time. She loved it! Hannah our server was THE BOMB! She was patient, friendly and polite. Love her! Food was good as always. And the Berry martini is my all time favorite!
Cafe Verona holds fond memories for me since my son's rehearsal dinner was held there a few years ago. Now I have a girlfriends' lunch date there as a new, special memory! We'll be back!
Everything was fantastic. Only downer was a big party in the same room by windows and it echoed and was very loud. Had a hard time talking and hearing each other at our own table.
We found it just okay. Nothing special. Not much flavor. Server was okay - everything was ok
Very nice, classy. Our go-to spot for Friday nights We were seated immediately with a reservation. I often have the sausage rigatoni rosa. Although I plan to have the half-order, I usually end up taking the full-order and eat it all. My wife loves the shrimp linone. Nice wine list.
I would recommend but was disappointed some of the delicious dishes were removed from the menu. I also ordered a bowtie pasta with chicken and shrimp. There was so much pasta, only 3 shrimp and the chicken was barely noticeable. They used to give you a nice chicken breast cut up. Bread and salad are always good.
Very delicious food. A bit noisy but it was a Friday night.
Cafe Verona is never disappointing. The staff is attentive and the food is fantastic.
The service and food is always good when we dine there.
Server kept saying “what would you like this evening” and “have a good evening” even though it was 11:30 am lunch. Weird. Chopped salad was deconstructed—not chopped as in chopped together, but individual vegetable components all layed out on top of greens. Weird. Meatball sandwich was dry. Overall good quality and prep disappointing.
We invited friends who had never eaten at Cafe Verona - they enjoyed their dinner immensely! It is always fun to introduce friends to a hidden gem! Thanks for making it a great experience.
