About Cafe Un Deux Trois
Cafe Un Deux Trois has been located in the heart of Times Square since 1977. We opened when the neighborhood was still very rough , and quickly became THE brasserie to stop for dinner and drinks before heading off to Studio 54 and Xenon to dance the night away.
We were and still are frequented by American and European theater and film actors, as well as politicians, directors, local New Yorkers and tourists from around the world. You will find many a Broadway cast and crew member hanging out after the show on any given night.
We recently had a facelift featuring enormous windows and a new color scheme.
The food while still classic bistro fare has expanded to include a variety of sandwiches, hamburgers and an extensive breakfast.
We have also added a selection of savory and sweet crepes to our dining choices.

Cafe Un Deux Trois Ratings and Reviews
Hands down the worst service we have had in a long time. Waiter ignored us for a long time even though he waited on a table right next to us. Food showed up but the potatoes were cold. Since the waiter never showed up to refill our coffee we flagged him down and asked for more...needless to say we never got it.
I am sorry to report that Cafe Un, Deux, Trois is not the place it used to be.
WE went there after the theater in a festive, holiday mood and were sorely disappointed.
We ordered drinks that we good, but it was all downhill from there. I ordered an endive/pear/roqufort/blue cheese crumble salad. When it arrived, it was in a puddle of water . . . as if they washed it and didn't drain the endive. There was little to no dressing on it as well. When I asked to have the salad replaced, they were very accommodating, but it had not arrived by the time our entrees arrived so I ended up cancelling it. For my entree I ordered the Chicken Crepe. The crepe was rubbery and the chicken was dry. My friend also ordered a crepe, with spinach, and said the same thing. I wish I could say we had a wonderful meal with tremendous service, but it wasn't so. The manager did offer a dessert to us as a replacement for my MIA salad which we enjoyed
This restaurant is consistent. It is perfectly positioned for the theater the most important of all they know how to get you in and out on time. Stuff are very attentive welcoming and know that you need to be served quickly and efficiently if you’re going to go to the theater. It is a noisy place but that’s part of the appeal
Cafe Un Deux Trois is a favourite spot of mine for many purposes - quick dinner with friends, business lunches, cocktails before a show. The service is fast and predictable, has always been friendly, great value and of course the food is excellent - quality and variety of options.
Back in the day (MANY years ago) this restaurant was a fun place to gather with friends ... it still is. Vibrant and lively atmosphere - service is good and very friendly. Coloring on the tablecloth/mats while enjoying the company of friends and your favorite libation makes for a fun/festive evening.
Very likable restaurant in the theater district. Prices are very reasonable for NYC and the quality of the food was good. This is not a romantic high-end French restaurant but a nice spot for a good meal anytime of day without breaking the bank. I will definitely come back and recommend this to friends.
This is my 3rd time at this restaurant. My friend and I were in NYC for the weekend. We loved it. The wait staff was very attentive and helpful. The restaurant was filled with reservations and it still felt warm and cozy. The food was delicious as always. The Spaghetti Bolognese was absolutely delicious. Our big surprise was to be part of 'The Twelve Days of Christmas' performance ! What fun that was. We will be back next year to be a part this activity again!
Have been to this restaurant many times and never fails to exceed our expectations. We were travelling to NYC for a day trip to the city to enjoy family and friends getting together. Someone in our group was from the mid-west and had never been to NYC and she just loved the restaurant. It was our first stop after arriving to the city and perfect way to begin our adventures! Thanks as always...great food, great service and great venue!
Had lunch there with a relative whom we had not seen in a couple of years. Besides the very good food, the restaurant and staff was very accommodating to our occupying a table for an extended period of time while we caught up with what our respective families had been up to. Thanks Cafe Un Deux Trois!
Lively spot with great service and reasonably priced food, perfect for pre or post theater. Our wait person was friendly and efficient and made sure our meal moved along at a pace that would allow us to make our matinee in time. The prix fix lunch is a good value.
My wife and I were in the city for a few days and looked for country French dining. Our hotel recommended Cafe un Deu Trois. It was NOT a busy night (Sunday).
The wait staff was professional and friendly. We had each had some wines and the Prix Fixe dinner and were not disappointed. The salmon was especially wonderful, but all aspects of the meal were very good.
A vibrant neighborhood gem. Perfect for pre theater and the occasional celebrity sighting! The staff, from the maître d to the waiters are friendly and efficient When you first sit down, you will be asked if you are going to a show and you will not be late. The prices are reasonable for the Manhattan location and the prix fixe contains excellent choices. The cocktails are well made and generous. A favorite of my wife and I for almost two decades!!
