About Cafe Un Deux Trois
Cafe Un Deux Trois has been located in the heart of Times Square since 1977. We opened when the neighborhood was still very rough , and quickly became THE brasserie to stop for dinner and drinks before heading off to Studio 54 and Xenon to dance the night away.
We were and still are frequented by American and European theater and film actors, as well as politicians, directors, local New Yorkers and tourists from around the world. You will find many a Broadway cast and crew member hanging out after the show on any given night.
We recently had a facelift featuring enormous windows and a new color scheme.
The food while still classic bistro fare has expanded to include a variety of sandwiches, hamburgers and an extensive breakfast.
We have also added a selection of savory and sweet crepes to our dining choices.

Cafe Un Deux Trois Ratings and Reviews
Had the crepe, it was good but I’ve had better. Husband had the hamburger and it was cooked medium like asked but the bun was burned and the server replaced it but said that happens often. Overall it was ok but probably wouldn’t eat here again due to the fact that other places have been better for the same cost.
Very noisy. Food was overpriced for what it was.
Christmas entertainment ruined the whole experience. Horrible singers - very intrusive - Much too loud and noisy. Would never have gone if we knew that kind of entertainment would be there.
We wanted a peaceful meal before attending the theatre. It ended up nearly ruining the entire evening.
Delightfully festive with Christmas decorations. Really enjoyed the 12 Days of Christmas performance by an energetic Santa and his elves. Scrumptious food and our waiter, Nicola, was superb! Note that bathrooms are downstairs for those who have 'access' issues.
Overall the food us good and fresh. The pea soup, lobster bisque, endive and arugula with roquefort salad and the striped bass dinner were all good . The only choice that wss lacking was the pate. It was dry and tasteless. The noise level was disruptive to the conversation. I would go back because of the food.
Café Un Deux Trois is my favorite restaurant In Manhattan. It is classy and vibrant, has an energetic ambiance, has great bartenders and wonderful French food, and is ideally located for theatergoers on 44th St. between 6th and 7th Avenues. Not to be missed!
Never been here before but found it on Google near my theatre. I liked the food choices very much. We got the Ceaser salad, Pasta with meat sauce, Special Fish of the day which was a cod fish in broth with veggies. . The fish dish was a bit bland with not much spices added for flavor, but overall I was satisfied as it was tasty & very fresh. The bread was served warm with butter which I like. The waiter was very friendly. We went early at 5pm so didn't have a problem getting a seat after our matinee.
Hands down the worst service we have had in a long time. Waiter ignored us for a long time even though he waited on a table right next to us. Food showed up but the potatoes were cold. Since the waiter never showed up to refill our coffee we flagged him down and asked for more...needless to say we never got it.
I am sorry to report that Cafe Un, Deux, Trois is not the place it used to be.
WE went there after the theater in a festive, holiday mood and were sorely disappointed.
We ordered drinks that we good, but it was all downhill from there. I ordered an endive/pear/roqufort/blue cheese crumble salad. When it arrived, it was in a puddle of water . . . as if they washed it and didn't drain the endive. There was little to no dressing on it as well. When I asked to have the salad replaced, they were very accommodating, but it had not arrived by the time our entrees arrived so I ended up cancelling it. For my entree I ordered the Chicken Crepe. The crepe was rubbery and the chicken was dry. My friend also ordered a crepe, with spinach, and said the same thing. I wish I could say we had a wonderful meal with tremendous service, but it wasn't so. The manager did offer a dessert to us as a replacement for my MIA salad which we enjoyed
This restaurant is consistent. It is perfectly positioned for the theater the most important of all they know how to get you in and out on time. Stuff are very attentive welcoming and know that you need to be served quickly and efficiently if you’re going to go to the theater. It is a noisy place but that’s part of the appeal
Cafe Un Deux Trois is a favourite spot of mine for many purposes - quick dinner with friends, business lunches, cocktails before a show. The service is fast and predictable, has always been friendly, great value and of course the food is excellent - quality and variety of options.
Back in the day (MANY years ago) this restaurant was a fun place to gather with friends ... it still is. Vibrant and lively atmosphere - service is good and very friendly. Coloring on the tablecloth/mats while enjoying the company of friends and your favorite libation makes for a fun/festive evening.
Very likable restaurant in the theater district. Prices are very reasonable for NYC and the quality of the food was good. This is not a romantic high-end French restaurant but a nice spot for a good meal anytime of day without breaking the bank. I will definitely come back and recommend this to friends.
