Cafe Un Deux Trois
We were and still are frequented by American and European theater and film actors, as well as politicians, directors, local New Yorkers and tourists from around the world. You will find many a Broadway cast and crew member hanging out after the show on any given night.
We recently had a facelift featuring enormous windows and a new color scheme.
The food while still classic bistro fare has expanded to include a variety of sandwiches, hamburgers and an extensive breakfast.
We have also added a selection of savory and sweet crepes to our dining choices.

Beautiful restaurant with efficient and friendly staff. Food options are many and this time we had steak frites and Peking duck sandwich. Both were excellent. Steps from most theaters. Get reservations for evening - very busy.
Cafe Un Deux Trois is my go to restaurant when I’m in NYC to go to the theater. The food is consistently good, as is the service.
Their prix fixe lunch is a very good value.
Yesterday, I tried the Peking Duck sandwich which was delicious.
Returned after several years, do not live in NYC, but this has long been a favorite stop. Party of three, mid Sunday eve, nice offerings, skilled waiter, food came quickly and was tasty. Wish I lived closer! Good value for the money.
Wonderful experience here on Sunday afternoon 8/18/19. We had Prix Fixe menu which was outstanding on all counts. We ordered the pricey Peartini cocktail which was exceptional at a steep $16! Had dined here years ago and finally got back to this fine establishment. Our server, Melissa, was absolutely delightful. We will be back! Merci beaucoup, Café Un, Deux, Trois.
but a bit too noisy fir my tastes
Cafe Un Deux Trois is always the right place: dinner before the theater; to meet friends and family; a respite after a long day in the city. The front-of-house and wait staff are attentive, personable and intent on making your visit as pleasurable as possible. Though they're sensitive to those who must make a curtain, I've never felt rushed or hurried there.
There's a varied menu, sure to be something for everyone in your party (don't pass up the Mouse au Chocolat). The atmosphere is lively, like a Paris bistro, but not overly noisy. Did I mention that there's a full bar!
beautiful light atmosphere excellent food and service had a wonderful time
We were looking for a place that had a variety of options on the menu to satisfy some different tastes and that could take reservations for 5. The restaurant was perfect for what we were looking for as well as spacious and comfortable. The options on the menu were excellent, and we enjoyed the price fixe lunch and brunch as well. Everything was delicious, from the salad to the chocolate mousse for dessert. We will definitely go back, and I can't wait to try more options from the menu.
Excellent location in theater district, right up the street from the Shubert.
Service was outstanding but food was only average. Reasonable price for NYC.
Food was excellent services was superb ! Crapes were to die for ... can’t wait to come back.
Cheese on the onion soup was actually burnt...yet still served to me. Boeuf Bourgignone was tepid and watery. Very disappointing.
We had a wonderful dinner pre-theater.
Salmon was delicious as was the Cesar’s salad and calamari.
My friend had shrimps which they prepared as she requested with marinara sauce and she loved it. I will dine there again next time I go to the theater.
Delightful experience! Food was outstanding, Crêpes au poulet was so delicious.
Will come back ... adap
We ordered an appetizer and 2 entrees. Got everything at the same time. Cheese platter was good. Chicken was dry and tasteless. Ravioli was bland.
It was so great to find a good French place to eat near Time Square. We are from Canada, so we were very happy to have delicious, good salads and vegetables with our meals. The food was so beautiful! My whole family was very pleased and we have two teenagers! The service was also great! We told our server we had a show to get to so the meals came out very fast. Luckily, we still had lots of time to enjoy them! The drink menu was so lovely. I had a citrus peartini which was so yummy that I had two. I highly recommend this restaurant (I loved it so much that my daughter and I came back for a late breakfast the next day!!!).
Great for pre or post theater meals.
Place was so noisy I wouldn’t go again.
Wonderful as always...Always order the quiche but tried the omelette for the fist time and it was wonderful. Highly recommend.
Efficient service...and pleasant wait staff. Perfect before theatre and post as well, but it is noisy. If you order simple dishes, it’s fine...don’t know about more complex ones.
Nice addition to add to the theater district go to roster. Surprised we’ve never been there before.
Am old favorite but this was not up to standard. The service was desultory and the food mediocre. My mussels were the smallest that i have ever had and my companion had crepes that were fry and unsauced.
Bday dinner before a show
We arrived 20 minutes early for our reservation and were seated immediately! Wait staff was amazing, experience was awesome! Food was so delicious we ate our whole meal (and still so full we skipped dinner)! Highly recommend, we got there at 12:30 and made our 2pm broadway show in plenty of time, thanks!!!!
This was our fourth visit to the cafe. We come into the city several times a year and it is our go to place for lunch or brunch before a afternoon show. The food is authentic french and the service is excellent.
It’s a cute spot for a nice breakfast. Definitely try the French toast. It’s to die for.
One of the best restaurants to go before a show!
1,2,3 is a reliable pre-theatre choice. Friendly service.
We got there early and it was pretty empty, but within an hour it was packed! Reservations are a must. We did the Prix Fix and everything was so good. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
Will dine there again when we're in town for a show.
I love Un Deux Trois. It's friendly and lively and just an all-around great restaurant. It's a perfect pre-theater dining spot, located in the middle of things. My favorite thing on the menu is the Crêpe au Poulet.
It is my GO TO place when I'm in the neighborhood!
We ordered beef stew was awful. The stock was just water. The meat was all gristle.
Ambiance was similar to a real French bistro. Service ok. Food satisfactory but unremarkable.
For New York the prices were appropriate.
In France it would not have a Michelin star but might be mentioned.
Thanks for asking.
Very prompt and professional service. The food was excellent. Was a little noisy, but we were there during the lunch rush. Would definitely go back.
Food is great as always just felt that the ambience was not as great as it used to.
Always enjoyable including food, staff and ambiance.
Good food good service. LOUD!!
Good was really not very tasty. Poorly spiced . Patte was dry and hard. Bread wasn't fresh
The spinach crepe and the escargot were ok, but not awesome. Salad was fresh. Cocktails were a decent value. Avoid the desert. Lady fingers with strawberries were blah and cheap in both taste and appearance. Overall, this place should be about a 3.8.
