Convenient location, lots of room for groups, menu variety, good service
Our visit to Cafe Un Deux Troi was a very enjoyable dining experience. We met friends there for a pre theatre dinner. We had appetizers, wine, meal and dessert. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. We cannot wait to visit again soon.
This is a regular stop for me when I am in the city. The prix fixe lunch menu and a glass of wine is a perfect combination and a great sized meal. I'm a professional cook and I dream of the day I get my Quiche Lorraine to be as good as their's.
A little noisy. Service was ok; food nicely prepared though a little skimpy for price. Glad we went though probably won’t be repeat customers.
For Sunday lunch the restaurant was packed. This is not a place for quiet conversation when busy. If you are looking for a vibrant cafe-style ambiance, this was it. Our server was nice but their were too few servers for the number of customers leaving limited personal attention. The food came out quickly but was just so-so. We were disappointed at the absence of vegetarian and no vegan options (other than plain salad). There are too many other options to choose from nearby for a repeat visit.
Disappointed as I had planned a Breakfast for a friend from overseas only to discover that they only offered the brunch menu (very limited for breakfast items) on weekends. I have had this experience with other restaurants in midtown/TS in the past and as a local NYC midtown resident it ticks me off that midtown restaurants don't seem to recognize that weekends are when we want to have breakfast menu items offered until noonish - I guess they want us to continue to go down to the village and Soho or local diners - which is what I will be doing from now on!
Birthday. Steak ordered medium came out rare. Had to wait 10 minutes to flag down the waiter to take it back.
I've been to this restaurant on a number of occasions. This time was before a Saturday matinee and was perfect- menu selections, location, and reasonable price.
Convenient and lively, but not special. I have been coming to this restaurant for more than 30 years and I love that some of the old New York places are still hanging on. The location is superb for pre-theater or really anything in midtown. But it's more serviceable and less fun and tasty than I recalled. The service was really rushed and constantly asking if we were through. Clearly, they really want the tables to turn over. Was also difficult to have a conversation. Might be better at less peak times. It did the trick for what we needed, but nothing special.
