Food was delicious, service excellent. Hostess was not so hot:
Excellent and very light and fluffy quiche. Delicate salad and yummy escargot. Drinks a bit small for the cost. Attentive polite service.
Always reliable bistro food that has markedly improved over the last year. Steak frites, salmon, and desserts make for a heart and well priced Theater district respite. Large fun ambiance; tell the server if you have a theater date and he'll hurry the order.
Enjoyed a nice pre-theater dinner here with friends. The food was very good, and our waiter was attentive and efficient. We were in and out quickly without feeling rushed. Café Un Deux Trois is a classic in the Theater District and it is always a good experience. That being said, I find this restaurant a bit noisy and if they could do something to make it less so I would enjoy it even more.
Cafe Un Deux Trois has become a little tired. The room itself is still great but the food wasn't very good. My caesar salad was pretty wilted.
Typical Bway restaurant. Rushed service, uncaring, mediocre food. Won't be back.
This was the worst dining experience I’ve had at this restaurant. I ordered a vodka gimlet, it was too sour. I ordered the prix fixe meal and the salad came out right away, & was really good! Then I waited probably 45 more minutes for my entree, grilled salmon, which was dry, I only ate half.
I had to keep asking for everything, searching to find my waiter. Not once was I asked how Anything was. And the waiter snatched the check folder from under me (I think I was leaning on it) vs waiting for me to leave, then retrieve it, like most people do.
Normally I’d voice my disappointment, but since the experience nearly made me late to the theatre, I chose to keep my eye on the prize instead.
I’ve dined here before with great results, so I’ll most likely give it another shot. We’ll see.
We had come into NYC for four days... Cafe Un Deux Trois was our first dinner. Our daughter joined us. We had a great dinner. Excellent food and conversation. Unfortunately, we left NYC the next day because of the snow expected. So... the dinner was memorable for more than one reason!
My friend & I had a pre- theater brunch on a Sunday. The price was perfect for us! We were able to have an alcoholic beverage that was included in the price. I had salmon & eggs benedict, while my friend had the ham & cheese sandwich. Both meals were enough food to get us through the matinee at the theater without feeling hungry. We'd go here again in a heartbeat!!
The food in general was without taste. Ordered $16.00 escargot which was inedible which was replaced at no charge. Also ordered the lamb shanks and chicken cordon blue. Neither dish was up to our expectations for a “French “ restaurant. Service was excellent, however, we expected a much better meal in NYC.
A fun place to go, with kids.
Very busy before the theatre, but less so after the crowd flees.
We've been going there for years, and will for a long time more....
Food was not hot. Waiter was attentive. Good variety on menu. Pre-theater option.
it is conveniently located in the theater district, it isn't expensive and the food is good.
It's a good find for pretheater - may try it one day to see what it is like and not going to theater.
my roast chicken was crispy and tasty, our salads were fresh and plentiful - my husband had the hanger steak - he said it was good
It is one of my favorite go-to places. Love their French Onion Soup!
This is a very convenient pre- theater restaurant. It is mot “dining” since people come on and want to get out on time. But the food is good and the servers very helpful.
Excellent service. Tables are much too close together. Overall enjoyed our meal and would recommend.
It was a great experience, as soon as we arrived we were seated, we ordered the prix fix menu which was delicious, the
was attentive considering the place was packed...maybe with pre-theater goers. That’s where we were going afterwards.
Wait staff was not very responsive. Brought drink, then food and did not check on us. It was not busy so no excuse.
Met friends here before seeing a show. It is one of our favorite places. Food was delicious. Very upbeat, happy atmosphere. We love the crayons on the tables - such a fun contrast to the elegance of the experience.
Very good food and service; staff is tuned into theater schedule for efficient service.
Had a very good experience and dinner! The waiters were courteous and efficient!
It was our first time and the food, service and cost more than met our expectations.
Truly a diamond in the rough . Was searching for a new place to have a good quality breakfast other than traditional diner eating. My Mom was an excellent Ffebch cook and used to make us special breakfasts growing up and crepes were her speciality. The crepes were amazing, but not quite as good as Mom's, excellent none the less. Great tasting coffee, neutella creoes...over the top. Our server attentive, welcoming and seemed to really enjoy his job. Bon Appetite!!! Definitely will etc her for years to come..
Very enjoyable and comfortable.
Food not up to expectations. Service was good for a Saturday evening after matinee and before evening performance
Service was great. The food was satisfactory, not standout. Crab beignets turned out to be crab cakes, not doughnuts stuffed w crab. The price frix meals were a good size and no one left hungry.
We arrived at 6 pm and barely made it to the theater next door. Service was very slow despite informing the server that we had to leave by 7:30 for a show. The noise level was deafening also.
Met a group of friends for lunch. Fun location. Good food. Overall very enjoyable.
Food was excellent. I had a salmon burger which was delicious. My friend had the endive salad, and loved it. It is a good place the grab lunch before a Boadway matinee. It was very crowded, and it was difficult to have a conversation or even walk to a table. Bathrooms are down steep stairs, and one stall was not functioning. So, if you have difficulty with stairs, be aware of the bathroom situation.
Food was excellent Service was great and we had a great corner table .
Still the best all inclusive pre-theater dinner value around.
It is still a classic with very well executed French fare. Great pre-theater. It’s big, busy, and noisy.
For such an avant-garde website, it is just average (a "good" rating). Frites not-so-good. Wine (by the glass) ordinary. Service good. Convenient for theater district. Many better french restaurants in NYC.
So much fun! Crayons and crepes, my wonderful choice was spinach, goat cheese and mushrooms. So good I did not even share, although I said I would! Great desserts and amazing service!
The service is wonderful and attentive. The mussels, calf's liver, crepes and lamb shank are very good! We recommend those dishes. It is very loud once the restaurant fills up - and it fills up quickly pre-theatre. We had trouble hearing around our larger table of 6. We would return, but most likely with a group of 4 max. Overall, we were pleased with our choice of restaurant that evening.
Wonderful place for a New York lunch. The host who greets you is a pleasure and Kim, our server (Table 70) was absolutely the best. The noise level can be challenging, but we continue to return because it is a happy place to be.
Cafe Un Deux Trois is an old favorite and I was reminded why last night. A delicious salmon burger, nice glass of house wine and great service.
Overall positive experience and food was hot, fresh and pleasing to the pallette.
Last minute family reunion, was able to arrange a table for 10 & everything worked out!
I was with my mother who is in a wheelchair. From the entrance to the server, I can not say enough about the graciousness of the staff. Everyone made this a special and exciting experience.
