Cafe Un Deux Trois
We were and still are frequented by American and European theater and film actors, as well as politicians, directors, local New Yorkers and tourists from around the world. You will find many a Broadway cast and crew member hanging out after the show on any given night.
We recently had a facelift featuring enormous windows and a new color scheme.
The food while still classic bistro fare has expanded to include a variety of sandwiches, hamburgers and an extensive breakfast.
We have also added a selection of savory and sweet crepes to our dining choices.

Good theater fare at reasonable prices. Soups were very good! Dessert a little disappointing....
Lots of menu choices for lunch and brunch, excellent food and service.
Disappointing, we are from south Florida were tourism is just as chaotic as here. However the service here is lousy and disorganized. Food subpar.
Our sever was terrible. Food was great.
For many years now, I have enjoyed my meals at Cafe Un Deux Trois. The food is very good and the staff is attentive. For a great, boozy, preshow dinner, you can't go wrong.
Have been here many times and had wonderful servers, food, etc. So I was very disappointed with this experience. Our server seemed to forget we were even there. It was almost impossible to get his attention. Despite his lack of interest, our food did get to us hot and was as good as usual.
Our favorite pre-theater restaurant, great ambiance, excellent service, reliable menu, what a great NY institution should be.
A party of six, and everyone thought their food was fantastic! Sort of unheard of in our group, LOL, there's usually/always someone who didn't like the food. Had appetizers, drinks and desserts too. Staff was friendly and helpful, from taking coats to recommending items on the menu. Will be back again. :)
Great location, good food, not overpriced, good service
Located just of time square, Cafe un Doux Trois may be our favorite restaurant spot in NYC. Amazing food in a quiet atmosphere.
Cafe Un Deux Trois is consistently good. Food is quite good and the service is always attentive. I had the crabcake special and it was very tasty and exactly as described. I have been there with friends or alone and they give everyone special attention. Great taste, great service, great ambiance in a great location for dining before or after the theater.
Terrific location in between matinee and evening performances in the Theater District. Food was very good...very hot..and came out in good time...especially, when dining pre-theater. Wait staff courteous and attentive as was the maitre d'...will definitely return to this lovely French Bistro.
Never disappoints for a great lunch. The salads and omelettes are very tasty and the service is always good. The room is as bright and pleasant as ever, even though it's been around for years. Perfect for pre-theater.
An established pro at turning out good french inspired dishes in time to make the show. Goat cheese salad was inspired in execution. Colorful baby tomatoes riding an endive leaf and crisp greens throughout with nicely toasted goat cheese was a great lead into a main of calf's liver. Likely to return on another pre-theater evening.
One of our favourites places in NYC — the affordable Balthazar! Each and every person is helpful, warm and friendly, kind, and attentive. We could’t ask for more.
The oatmeal was barely cooked and just not eatable. The side order of strawberries were terrible also. Not ripe at all so all white in the inside w no flavor. Coffee wasn’t good either. The only good thing was that it was quiet for a business meeting. All three of us ordered the oatmeal so it wasn’t a fluke.
Convenient, nice spot for brunch prior to a Sunday matinee. Unfortunately, the service was unnecessarily slow. Our waiter was not particularly attentive. We were not in a rush so it was OK but it could have been better. The food was good and consistent with our expectations. The room has a nice french brasserie atmosphere.
The crepes were delicious. I had the spinach, goat cheese and mushroom crepe with the side salad. Two other people at our table had crepes, also.. the salmon one and the chicken one. We all raved about them. The were HUGE, just stuffed with delicious filings. We will definitely return here.
Wonderful experience, We were celebrating two birthdays and the waiters came over and sang and all the patrons joined in with the singing.
The food was great and by NYC standards the prices were reasonable.
Everyone had a great time.
Our first time there and we loved it. Service was excellent. Friendly & courteous staff. Great menu. I thought the food was excellent and pricing very reasonable. A great dining experience! Can’t wait to go back!
Great for pre-theatre lunch/brunch $28. for a cocktail, entree and coffee. Delicious food and great service. I have been enjoying Cafe Un Deux Trois for years before shows or just meeting friends for lunch. You'll love it.
Great food and service! Love it at Un Deux Trois!!
I made a Brunch reservation for myself and my roommate from college whom I haven’t seen in 28 years!! Understandably, we had a lot of catching up to do. Our server was wonderful. He let us sit for two hours to talk. He even came with fresh cups of coffee at one point! We both had the quiche Lorraine which of course was delicious! I have eaten at Cafe Un Deux Trois quite a few times for lunch and dinner. It’s in a great location, the price is right, and the food is great. But it’s the little things that you do that keep me coming back! Thank you!
For years and years, Un Deux Trois is always a pleasure.
We chose this restaurant because of its proximity to a theater we were going to. Honestly I was hesitant, anticipating a touristy pre theater place. NOT THE CASE! I was delighted and thrilled with the warm and seasoned pro that greeted us at the door and promptly sat us. Our server was super attentive and precision perfect. All our food was excellent in every way. Loved the wine list, I had a beautiful minerally French white by the glass. The restaurant was beautiful and lively. I loved this place, it is my new go-to for the theater district. Love love loved it.
Perfect pre theater great service something on the menu for everyone and very accommodating for allergies.
This was the 2nd time having dinner before a show. Service was very efficient and timely. Food selection was good and well prepared. The profiteroles for desert were as good as the prior time.....a nice ending to the experience.
Hadn't been to Cafe Un Deux Trois in awhile and it was a real pleasure. I hope to dine again soon.
Excellent choice for “before Theatre”.
Great pre theater dinner!
I went for brunch a year ago and enjoyed it so much that I thought I’d return for dinner. I was totally underwhelmed by my food.... Everything else was good. I don’t see myself returning.
We have been several times and we are never disappointed. Our server Kim was great and so was the meal and experience.
We'll be back for sure!
Lovely midtown bistro with consistent food and service. My go to restaurant when meeting friends for lunch or theater.
Okay food for crazy prices. Convenient location is the only draw!
Perfect for a late evening salad and dessert. We were sitting on the window which also is a treat.
Post theatre dinner. Very dependable lovely bistro with very good food, attentive service and a lovely ambiance.
Great Food and excellent service at a reasonable price in Theatre District. Steady and Reliable choice.
Very friendly staff and clientele. the food was prfect for a late night following the theater.
This restaurant reminded me of cafes we had been to in Paris. The Nicoise salad was precisely as I remember it from our various trips there. My husband was very happy with his salmon and mousse. While we didn't have pre-theatre dinner, I would count on the service to allow us to make a curtain time.
Cafe Un Deux Trois is always like coming home - a cozy stop between or before shows. There are no strangers at Un Deux Trois. The maitre-d treats you like an old friend. The menu is varied enough to satisfy everyone in your group. Even though in mid-town, it's the kind of place that reminds you Manhattan can sometimes feel like a small town.
