Our meals were good and the lamb was like a flaked roast that could use a little more flavor. We enjoyed the staff and location.

We went there for brunch and were very pleasantly surprised. There are lots of choices on the menu. We had lamb scramble and mother in law, both very delicious and plenty. The lemonade with sour cherry was really refreshing and tasty. Don't miss the desserts. Baklava was divine and so is Bird's Nest. Server was very friendly and efficient regardless how busy the place was - she provided just enough service at the right time.

Couldn't have been happier with the service, food quality/flavors/selection, and (in my meager opinion), authenticity of flavors and textures. I am going back next week!

Love the ambiance. Plenty of eclectic decor, always quiet and cozy when I come in. The food comes across as much more authentic than not (although I'm no expert). Vegetarian options very much hold their own (anything with eggplant in particular). In general, you tend to pay a little more for a little less.

Such a cute place, but the food was barely even decent. Waitress had an attitude which didn't help the experience. On the other hand, a replacement waiter was very attentive and apologetic. He, actually was the only great part of the experience. Really disappointed because it could be a very fun, hip place to eat otherwise.

Although there's construction happening around it right now (Nov 2016), the cafe was really crowded on a weekday afternoon. No surprise though since the service and food are both excellent. I had a delicious salad with squash, pomegranate seeds, etc. My friend had a chicken sandwich which she enjoyed. Great place.

The food and service is great, but be aware that they have no wine list (when my friend and I learned this, we went to a nearby shop to get a bottle of red wine). But not only do they not have wine, but they refused to provide glasses (when we asked) for our BYOB bottle because of the owner's religious scruples! So if you'd like wine with your dinner, it's best to choose another Turkish place.

Best Mediterranean food in the Seattle Metro.

Start with a Turkish tea and then make your way through the appetizers, entrees and deserts. Don't skip a dish or you will have remorse!

The Pistachio Baclava is the creamiest Baclava I've ever tasted. Enjoy

This is the third time we've been to the cafe. Love the food, and everyone we've ever dealt with has been great. One thing that especially appeals to me is that I need GF and it is wonderful to have such an extensive menu from which to choose. The only thing which was off that night, was the Turkish Coffee. It's been good all the rest of the time, and we are no strangers to it, but this time it was very chewy as if the grounds got poured with out enough liquid so they didn't settle out. Other than that we will be back...and bring friends.

The staff was friendly, personable and attentive. Our meal selections were all different yet fantastic. The lamb melted in your mouth and chicken was smoky. These dishes were exceptional, cauliflower and eggplant was tender and tasty, and the home made padit was amazing. We will be back again! Thanks

Great Pides, i had the Karisik, or mixed, pide. Very great authentic taste. I'd recommend that on the dinner menu. Deserts looked very tempting, and i look forward to trying them. Also excited that they have a turkish breakfast menu and am excited to try the Menemen.

Our visit to Café Turko was an enjoyable experience. Many of the flavors and foods were familiar, because of the many Mediterranean restaurants available to us here in the northwest, but there were so many interesting riffs on those familiar dishes. Who knew that you could make hummus out of beets, spinach or yams? They were tasty and beautifully presented. Fun descriptions of dishes with playful names, made the menu interesting to read. We will be happy to return to this popular spot (be sure to get reservations!) and it doesn't hurt that desserts are complimentary for birthdays!

It really can feel like you're in Istanbul here. Perhaps a little too authentically for a typical Seattle foodie. The place is a jumble of,coffee, spices, trinkets ... and food. It is very Grand Bazaar.

Don't expect fancy. Don't expect alcohol (there is none). Do expect authentic, high quality Turkish dishes and very good service. You should get coffee.

I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday. When I made the reservation online, it asked if we had any food requests, so I asked if I could put in an order for a couple appetizers so they would be ready when we got there. If they couldn't accommodate that, it was totally understandable. But low and behold, a minute after we were seated our colorful appetizer was in front of us at our table. Our waitress was incredible and so attentive. I mentioned in our reservation notes that I was bringing my boyfriend here as a surprise and the waitress was so friendly to him and wished him a happy bday and everything. They also shut off the lights and did the whole surprise birthday dessert for him. It was so thoughtful--very funny as well--and we loved it.

I can't forget the food. I got a lamb plate and my boyfriend got the sultan's plate. Both were delicious and presented beautifully. We also both had turkish coffee which is a small sized, espresso-like drink. I had never had it and really enjoyed it.

We'll be back again. :)

Beef smelled like lamb. Maybe they were pan fried together? I don't like to eat lamb, so the smell was quite strong to me. Everything else was good.

We loved the food, and the family-run service is friendly and sincere. Unfortunately, the night we visited, they were down two staff members, and it was chaotic. They lost our order, which we learned after waiting nearly an hour for entrees. We had to place our order again, and although it arrived promptly, it also wasn't 100% correct.

That said, we enjoyed the delicious food very much, and I'll bet it's a much smoother operation when they are fully staffed. We will definitely be back to try again!

(Was a bit surprised when we weren't comped at least part of our meal for the inconvenience, I must say. But, we will give it another try)

Met for weeknight dinner with 2 friends and sat for hours. Casual, warm, comfortable atmosphere. Great food. Wonderful choices for vegetarians, too. Yam and other unusual hummus dips, and at least 3 preparations of cauliflower and eggplant, with succulent sweet desserts to end it all with.
Sweet waitresses, too.

We went to Cafe Turko on a Sunday morning. No line, were seated right away. Brunch selection is good, I loved the healthy "Mother in law's" plate, my bf had an omelette which was also good. Turkish coffee is real! It is very much like the "metrio" coffee that I used to have in Greece (metrio meaning it is brewed with a moderate amount of sugar). The dessert was also decent (a lot better than the "Turkish" desserts that you get in the supermarket or some other places). We liked our waitress very much, she was very friendly. Bottomline -- it does seem to be a very nice, authentic enough place (I haven't been to Turkey, so I compare with Greece). It is interesting enough, worth visiting. Plus the food is good :).

Authentic, very tasty, lots of heart! Place comes with ambience is genuine not created. People are mostly family, all have a great heart. Photos made fresh that morning, and taste like it. Can't find anyplace else like it here in Seattle.

So did I, I had a grilled chicken pide (like a Turkish pizza with handmade dough and feta cheese). I went with my Turkish friend, and he was raving over the food. He said its the best he's had in a long time, and that he intends to bring his Turkish friends from work.

Everything was fresh and flavorful, and the place was beautifully decorated with Turkish items, like lamps and rugs, for sale. I picked up a scarf after dinner. I definitely plan on returning.
