Cafe Tu Tu Tango - Orange Ratings and Reviews
We were encouraged to sit outside. We were promised a free dessert, we even weren’t offered one. Felt as we were used to attract costumers by sitting outside (it was chilly, and the outside heater was not working). But the food was good.
I took my son who is in college at Chapman and 6 of his friends out for dinner, and we had a great time! We wetre seated at a perfect table outside. The host wqs lovely! Our first waitress did not seem very interested in serving us, but we soon learned that our "actual" waiter had been on a break, and when he took over, the service was wonderful! The food is fabulous, fresh, and interesting. This is the third time I've taken a large group to your restaurant, and have not been disappointed except for the small annoyance of a "stand-in" server not being on her top service behavior because she was covering for someone else.
We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio on a Friday night. We ordered the hummus as well as the pear salad for appetizers. Both arrived quickly along with our Sangria. The sangria was good, but a little watered down. The kids loved the pizzas and the meat kebabs were delicious and cooked perfectly. We had great service and look forward to coming back soon.
We went for a girls night out. It was fun, yummy, and just plain different. Exactly what we wanted! I really love the Cuban skewers they are my favorite. I recommend this restaurant to everyone in Orange County who is looking for something that is a little different.
While our waiter was very nice and accommodating, he disappeared for long periods of time (asked for a heater to be moved close to us and had to ask another waiter for help, dessert took forever, asked for check and never saw him again - had to track him down). Our reservation was at 6pm and planned for a little birthday shopping afterwards, but wasn't able to leave the restaurant until 8:30pm (stores closed at 9pm).somewhat disappointing
Came here Mothers day around 10:30 am. Greeted at the door and given a gift for Mothers day and seated immediately as we did have reservations. We sat on the patio our server was friendly and came right away to take our drink orders and tell us about the buffet.
The food was yummy had a little bit everything the desserts seem a little too sweet and rich for my likely especially the mousse. overall experience was awesome and def will be back as we do frequent this place often for happy hr and the Easter brunch :)
Love the energy and overall vibe of the restaurant. The service is fantastic and servers very friendly and entertaining. The menu selections are varied and delicious and reasonable. The Spanish anti pasto salad served on a painters pallette is generous and quality meat and cheeses. The meat and shrimp skewers were really good as well as the Cajun egg rolls. A great change from typical cafe food.
We couldn't hear ourselves over the music, our waiter said he asked someone to turn it down three separate times yet he still had to yell for us to hear him. Some of our food didn't taste very fresh, and we had to send it back. My food didn't come until everyone else was almost done eating, and I'm the pregnant one, I ate an entire basket of chips and salsa while I waited. Our saving grace was that our server was very apologetic and sweet and we all tipped him heartily because despite all the mess he was very polite and tried to be as helpful as he could. Would come back for chips and salsa.
Met up with people i havent seen in a decade we all ordered a dew small plates and shared everything it was a slow night. The only issue was our drinks would empty and we would have to actually spend time and effort flagging someone down to get water or sodas refilled. But regardless its a great little place very unique.
Went to dinner with friends before seeing a movie at the AMC next door. Great food, unusual decor with art pieces on the walls that are actually for sale. Very quirky decor otherwise when you look around the room. Live belly dancer came around twice during our meal. Service could have been a bit faster, but was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend for casual meal with friends or for a date night. Fun, friendly and great food.
Calling this a Tapas restaurant is to abuse the term Tapas. It's not even close. Timing between dishes was poor, all arrived at once, hot and cold. Paella was closer to a risotto, lacking even the yellow color. Service was probably the worst. It started out promising but fell apart pretty quick. No refill of water, missing utensils etc etc.
We arrived for a 3:15 reservation. The waitress was friendly. However, the remainder of the experience could have been much better.
Instead of normally having the whole table (party of 3) served their order at the same time, a food server brought out 2 of the 3, and the 3rd one was brought out about 5-10 min later. We tried to flag down the waitress, and 2 others that were in the room (which only consisted of 3 tables that had customers)...not very busy. Finally the food server came back out with the 3rd dish, and left off part of the menu. I asked if they could please bring out the vegetables that was not on the plate. After being told they would inform the cook to have it taken care of, instead of getting the veggies, the waitress finally comes back to our table and tells me why she didn't have veggies on my order. I told her I didn't ask her to remove veggies, and she proceeded to converse further about this. At this point, I am really hungry.
I proceeded to pull out their menu and nicely show her that veggies are on the menu for the particular dish and if she could please bring me the veggies. I didn't have a problem with why my order wasn't correct, but it was a process to have it taking care of.
This was not a pleasant dining experience.
I brought a group that was in Anaheim for a convention. The place is hard to find but very well worth the search. It is in an outlet mall. The service was great the food was amazing. Most had not dined at a place like this before and loved the concept but really loved the food. Thanks for a both memorable and enjoyable evening.
Been here before. Located smack in the middle of a very busy shopping center. The place is funky with lots of art all over that's all by local artists (they say) and is for sale. Wait staff seemed inexperienced, although our waiter was extremely friendly. Food can be so-so but you really don't come here for a steakhouse-type meal. If they had a great menu it would help. Music was way too loud for casual conversation.
