Cafe Troia was established in 1986 by the Troia family, natives of Naples, Italy. When you dine with us, rest assured that you are eating foods that meet a higher standard than the USDA - ours. We have been doing "Farm to Table" for 29 years. Our natural meats have no artificial hormones or antibiotics. When possible, we purchase local produce to endure its freshness. All this is nothing new, we have operated this way since 1986 which is why we have such a loyal following.
We have three separate dining rooms, offering privacy for special events. We have the prettiest outdoor dining with a covered deck, an outdoor bar, and a piazza dining area.

Very traditional northern Italian menu. we were a party of four; each of us ordered 3-4 courses. Nothing disappointed and some dishes were especially good. the pappardelle con bolognese was near perfect.

We have been going to Cafe Troia for many years, and we've never had a bad meal. The food is excellent and authentically Italian; they have a good wine selection, too. The service is attentive, without being obtrusive. This Thanksgiving was our first time there for a family holiday, and the main dining room became rather noisy. But that's not how it usually is. Our family had a great time, and we were well fed. Many thanks to the chefs and staff.

The food was below average. Pasta was tasteless and chewy. Veal dish was also lacking in taste. Overall, far below expectations. Service, however, was very good.

Service was excellent. Food was very good but a little too pricy for what you received. It seems like the menu has gotten smaller than previous times.

Café Troia always delivers. The food is spectacular and the service is excellent. I always ask for a couple special accommodations and they are extremely flexible and gracious. The owners take a lot of pride in what they do and it shows. I am happy to be a regular and frequently take my out of town visitors there.

My wife and I really liked Cafe Troia. It was right off of the round-a-bout in Towson with just enough parking lot spaces. There was live Jazz at the front of the restaurant that you could enjoy if you were a bar patron. The sea bass was well prepared and the beet salad my wife ordered was also very good. The service was polite, friendly and professional. This is a no frills place that gets the job done.

Two couples arrived at 6:30 PM for dinner but no one was that hungry. The minestrone was watery and bland. The spinach salad had too strong of a dressing. The tiramisu was in a glass and was so so. Service was spot on,

Our dinners were good--not outstanding. The service was very good and the hosts were very kind and affable. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, is clean and nicely decorated. Parking easy on next door lot. The past with clam sauce could use about 6 more tiny clams clams and a less brothy sauce--something a bit thicker. Bread rolls were fresh but bland. Crusty bread would have been much better for soaking up clam broth. the last special with salmon was okay, not outstanding. The gnocchi dish was excellent. Creme brulee also excellent, but the cherry bread pudding, recommended by our server, was a disappointed --bland, not eggy enough, with little spice seasoning. Will try Troia again next time we are in town, aw we arrived super late due to airport delays and the cafe was kind to extend our dining time.

This was our first visit to Cafe Troia after having lived nearby for a long while. Wow, we had definitely been missing out by not coming here sooner. The food was outstanding with terrific flavors. And the prices are great for the quality. Also, the dining room is arranged with a comfortable amount of space between tables. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I chose the 3-course Restaurant Week option for lunch and thought the dishes were good standard Italian fare, though the minestrone soup could have been better. Nice atmosphere and friendly server.

Went for an early dinner. The service was good and the food was delicious. We went during Restaurant Week and ordered from the special menu. Really enjoyed the grilled Caesar Salad and Branzino! The desserts were simple (key lime tart and baked peach) and a perfect ending to a delicious dinner.

We went for restaurant week. I think the 2 choices my friend and I made would be overpriced for s $35 set menu. She got the vegetable pasta dish which she did love. Said the broccoli in it was best ever possibly. Had grilled taste. The grilled Cesear I would recommend for the salad choice. That was very good we both liked that. I was slightly disappointed in the mozzarella caprese choice. I love love this normally, but the fresh mozzarella seemed possibly over refrigerated as the ends seemed too firm for what it should be. My main entree was pasta with shrimp and capers. Big sized shrimp and pasta was cooked perfect. Dessert I got was peach thing I forgot the name. A small sized our loaded with whipped cream covering the whole top was little much. I actually scrapped most off. The crust was good but surprisingly the small amount of peach inside didn't come through a whole lot and was slightly bland of flavor.

My wife and four of our friends went here to celebrate her birthday. It just so happened to be Baltimore Restaurant Week as well. Some of us ordered off the RW menu, while others off the regular menu. Everyone was able to find an appetizer, soup, or salad they liked, as well as a great entree and dessert. No problems with anything, and everyone thought each serving was at least very good and some would say excellent.

The service was terrific, too. Our hostess seated us promptly, transferring our bar tab to the main dining area with no trouble, and our server was very attentive. She knew the ingredients of the menu items (some of us have allergies) and was able to recommend dishes based on our preferences.

The ambiance was very nice as well--it wasn't quiet, but we were able to talk in normal voices and didn't feel that even when busy the restaurant would be hard to communicate in. We stayed for a few hours and had a great time. This is our third visit to Cafe Troia and there will be more!

My meal and my friend's meal were disappointing. We both ordered raviolis , home made, with a filling listed as beef, prosciuotto , spinach and another ingredient. It only appeared to be hamburger meat ,inside lacking flavor. The sauce was meager and did not help add any flavor.

The owner asked if we wanted another entrée. Not. She also went back to the kitchen to ask the person who made the ravioli about the problem. He or she had gone for the day.

We did enjoy the home-made limoncello at the end of dinner as a nice token.

My husband and my friend's husband enjoyed their meals.

We have been here several times and most likely will go again.

The food is spectacularly good. The wait staff know nothing about wine (except possibly that you get a buzz when you drink it) and are too young and inexperienced to understand a fine dining experience. The prices are indicative of top notch service and the service is NOT top notch. Wine glasses are the cheapest restaurant ware one can buy. Great food but not great value.

Our dinning experience could not have been better. Café Troia was chosen for the food and adult friendly ambience. Quietly talked and enjoyed our wine until we had the place to ourselves. Waitress kindly prodded but left us alone even closed the doors and dimmed the lights She deserved every penny of her 30% gratuity. Entrees arrived promptly and were delicious as expected. Lovely evening.

This year I took Mom to Troia for brunch. Neither of us had been there and weren't sure what to expect. But the reviews on Open Table were good so we decided to try it. We found it to be a great experience. Tables were comfortably spaced (Mom has a walker so this was especially good). The food was delicious (don't miss the desserts), wait staff attentive and watchful without being cloying. The room has a very comfortable décor. We will be back.
